Once upon a time, being hauled against the taut, rippling body of her first crush would have had Rachael planning the wedding of the year. Now it spurs her to create Romanceaholics Anonymous, and soon all of Valentine is divided as die-hard romantics clash with anti-love cynics. But when Rachael starts fantasizing about a lust-filled affair with Brody, she wonders if this time it just may be possible to have her wedding cake and eat it too.
Rachael Henderson is running from the torment of being stood up at the alter. She is running to Valentine, Texas, her home town. While defacing a billboard, she is reconnect with Brody Carlton, the town sheriff and her first crush. That is where all of her trouble starts. She is always falling for the "meet cute" guy. The one who comes in to save the day but Rachael will have none of it. She forms a local chapter of Romanceaholics so that this does not happen to someone else. The group expands and so do the problems revolving around love and Valentine Texas.
I absolutely LOVED this book. Rachael's character was sweet, witty, classy, confused and in love with love. All she ever wanted was to fall in love and when she reconnects with Brody Carlton, her first crush, she begins to do exactly what she is trying not to, to fall in love. Brody's character was a strong, determined, patient, honorable and loyal man. Ahhhh, I am falling in love with him all over again. He was once divorced and knows what it feels like to be on the receiving end of unrequited love. Rachael is the woman he has been looking for all his life and he is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her. The bond between these two was amazing. It all started with a friendship that never died. Addicted to Love was a three S, sweet, sassy and sexy. Lori Wilde did an amazing job writing this story and I will most definitely be reading the other books in the series. This was an amazing read! I highly recommend Addicted to Love to anyone who loves romance and humor with a touch of suspense thrown in.
