Eislinn is an elf reporter who writes articles about humans. She makes every effort to keep any paranormal activity under wraps because that would just freak out the humans. She gets drawn into what appears to be a ritual complete with a pentagram. After seeing that indeed the humans did conjure up a demon, she debates going in to help or getting the heck out of Dodge.

Lothan von Deimos is a demon whose personal agenda is to see to it that bad demons and spirits do nor run amok among humans. He is 1200 years old and has seen so much that he instinctively knows when that very possibility is on the cusp of happening. He appears in the clearing just in time to keep Eislinn from possibly getting herself killed.

Detetive Callum Daly is a law enforcement officer who keeps secret the fact that he is an elf. He fights for justice among humans with them none the wiser. He stumbles upon the ritual that has gone wrong shortly after Lothan does. He and Lothan share a common denominator; Eislinn. Both, at one time or another, were her lovers and both missed her incredibly much. The relationships ended because each felt there was something missing. Could this night seemingly bound to end in disaster actually be a reunion of sorts?

Wow! When you read this book, if you are unattached, you will definitely need a cold shower or an ice bath. It is hot, hot, HOT!!! The sex scenes will burn your fingers and make your eyes water with the steaminess. The way the characters play off each others' emotions and feelings is beyond sexy. The lovemaking incorporates all characters without anyone being left out or forgotten, and that is a tribute to the talent of the author. I had read a few books that contained threesomes but this book takes it to a whole other level. A very amazing level. I loved that it was a quick read but a satisfying read. All parts of the story came together without being rushed or glossed over. Additionally, the love scenes did not overpower the underlying thread which is that love doesn't have to be between just two people. Sometimes more is better.
