Rich in romance and suspense this book had me mesmerized from the first page. I was definately drawn toward the main character, Traci, and all of the emotional barriers that she faced. One man however, is determined to wait it out and break through those barriers no matter how long it takes. Patience is one of Scott McCords attributes and he has all the time in the world.

Traci is a hardnosed lawyer when it comes to her work, but when it comes to her personal life, evasion is what has always worked for her. Going through a difficult situation in her teens, Traci is left feeling that her body is something that no man would like. There has never been a lack of women in his life but for Scott, horses come first, until he meets Traci. He has never been with a woman who "gets him" like Traci. Scott is about to face his fears when Traci comes along and he is in for more than he bargained for.

Roberta (Traci's #1 source for all things criminal) uncovers information that Traci needs to crack this case wide open. The only problem is the more she uncovers, the more dangerous situations get for Traci, and Scott is right there to protect her every step of the way.

This is a "must read" for any romance readers bedside table. Amanda Burns has done a sensational job of combining just the right amount of suspense with a sauciness that leaves you longing for more. Run, don't walk to your nearest book store for this sensational book.
