To add to her worries, there has also been a murder. Things start to really heat up when Aiden reveals that a demon wants to cart Tali away to another world—permanently. Now she must face her own powers as well as a were wolf and a demon in order to keep her family safe.
I admit, this book caught me at a disadvantage, being part of a series I’ve yet to read. That said, I still found it very enjoyable. More importantly, it is well written enough that I did not need to have read the others in the series to understand what is going on.
The title says it is a short story, and that is no lie. At only about 40 pages, this is a quick evening read. But it uses those pages wisely, taking the reader on a quick adventure that brushes against romance and danger. The length does however hinder the development of any real mystery in the story, as the answers are raveled almost as soon as the questions are asked.
This one is a fun, bite-sized, read; good to help you unwind before bed, but won’t keep you up at night either.
