Noelle is one of the more gifted healers in the Garden on Elysium. She is charged with the duty of helping emotionally wounded warriors. She uses sex to ease the pain and fill the void with pure and simple pleasure. Captain Damon Antema is one such warrior. He lost practically his entire unit recently and is wracked with guilt, anger and intense frustration. Noelle is assigned to help him deal with these emotional issues. She is accustomed to doing her job without letting her own emotions get in the way. There is something about Damon that makes her think this time will be very different.
This book tells a story that every reader can relate to. There has been a point in everyone's life where there is so much pain and anguish that the concept of having someone relieve you of that pain is too delicious to let go. In the story, Noelle and Damon take you on a path of dark, damaging emotion to immeasurable pleasure, happiness and mind-boggling sex. You are detoured through a maelstrom of denial of the characters' own feelings for each other to the ultimate climax of acceptance of their own true nature. This short story should be read by many people as the lesson here is unique to each person but one that should be experienced by all.
