For survival.on a mysterious planet light years from home. With the man of her dreams unconscious in her arms, astronaut Kate Borrowdale must escape the treacherous peaks of Kratos and traverse a strange, hidden world beneath the clouds.

This is a wonderfully action-filled and imaginative science fiction…with a romance too! The incredible creatures will definitely make you think of The Land That Time Forgot!

Kate Borrowdale is a top notch terrain scout serving on a large space ship. Her job is to help locate minerals on new worlds. She has secretly been in love with Jason Remington, another explorer. Very quickly the expedition party on the planet Kratos gets bombarded by boulders, knocking Jason unconscious. Kate grabs Jason and jumps off the mountain side in a desperate attempt to rescue them both! And that is just the beginning of nonstop adventure!

This first book of three introduces you to Kate as the strong and determined survivalist on a planet that is mostly a mystery. Kate struggles to keep Jason and herself alive while she seeks to find a place on Kratos where they might get picked up by their spaceship. Finally Jason revives and they have to cope with the issue of dominance, as well as a developing relationship, while they face the unknown world. In addition to traversing dangerous and unique terrains, they confront strange creatures, never knowing if they are going to be attacked or aided. Eventually Kate and Jason make an astonishing discovery regarding the planet they are on.

I happened to read this out loud to my husband on a long drive and we were both very glad that we had all three books because when this book ended we were anxious to know what happened next!
