Can Aidan's kitchen wizardry cook up a hot career or a steamy romance?
Take one timid but curvy cook, Aidan, who discovers she can perform magic in the kitchen--literally. Add a healthy pinch of desire to become a famous Hollywood chef. Stir in Matteus, the unexpectedly sexy appraiser from the Institute of Magical Instruction. Sprinkle with mutual attraction.
Just one teensy problem: Aidan can't cook - not even boil water.
At some point in every woman's life, she wishes she could do magic. But will Aidan cook up true love, a career...or just a disaster?
When I picked up this book, I chuckled at the little warning in the beginning about some reviewers being thrown off their diets but I should have taken it more seriously. I was hungry when I finished reading Foodie's Guide to Kitchen Magic and not just for food, but for more from Ms. Sookoo. Her writing is incredibly easy to follow and flows beautifully. Romance is mixed in excellent style with a dash of humor. I immediately fell in love with bumbling Aidan, who despite failure after failure keeps trying, often finding one masterpiece among her disasters. Matteaus too was a delight! Ms. Sookoo hints at something in his past but managed to not reveal it until the end of the book. My only disappointment was when I came to the end and found...it was the END! I will be looking for more from Ms. Sookoo and hope that maybe there is a story in the future about Aidan and Matteaus.
