The best kept secret was right in his own bed...

A spy for the British, Cat Sterling is used to living dangerously. Despite having a bounty on her head, she never expects to be shot in the line of duty and left for dead.

Angus French had enough problems without finding a near-dead woman on his land. A Revolution was coming, and British sympathizers have just burned down his tavern. The last thing he needs is to be caught housing a woman who's working for them.
The price on Cat's head will more than pay for the damage done to his business. He never expects Cat to see him as security and kindness, two things she's never had in life. And he never expects to learn that Cat has a few secrets of her own which threaten to rip them apart.

This was a truly wonderful story. The romance was so real and so sweet. The characters, Angus and Cat were so strong and willful. They bumped heads, they fell in love, they shared a bond that only grew each time they were together. The plot was strong and fit perfectly with the time frame. Ms. Henderson did her research and it seemed her facts were straight. Her words were magical and moved across the pages with ease. I felt like I was watching a movie in my head, I love when story flows like that. This is a new author for me and one I will be looking for more of. It’s a book and an author you must add to your list. The author has a unique writing ability and the story was beautiful.

  1. Ok...you've sold me. It is going directly on my TBR list. Fabulous review. Wonderful cover. All with the promise of a great read.

  2. I'm sold on this book, too. Sounds likes a great one to add to my TBR list. Great job, Nancy!
