Alexandrine Marit is a witch in mortal danger. An evil mage craves the powerful, mysterious talisman that supplies her magic, and the only person who can keep her safe is a dark and dangerous fiend called Xia. With his fierce animosity toward witches, he's hardly the ideal bodyguard. Yet as days turn into nights, she can't deny the white-hot passion between them.
Review: Alexandrine Marit has been on her own for a while now. Her adoptive parents and brother are dead or so she thought. When Harsh shows up on her doorstep, alive, she could just about kill him. While searching for her birth parents, she stumbled across an amulet with magical power. Not such a shock, for a witch, but Harsh tells her real father is trying to kill her and he's bringing in the calvary.
Babysitting a witch is the last thing Xia wants to do with his newfound freedom from Rasmus Kessler, but he owes it to Harsh to look out for his sister. After being held under the control of Alexandrine's father he has a hatred of witches, but she pulls at him like no other woman before. Together they must destroy the panther talisman, find away to stop her father before its too late, and try not to fall in love along the way. If they can. Sometimes the heart's desire is our greatest weapon.
My Forbidden Desire is a fast-paced steamy paranormal with all the hallmarks of a romantic suspense. Fans of both genres will love this marriage of magic and danger. Ms. Jewel has a talent for stunning imagery and the ability to create a world within our own where anything and everything is possible. Another wonderful author I've added to my list.
