Cassie's been touched by an angel -- and found it terrifying.

Defying her fear of heights, Cassie has moved in to the tallest building in town. She’s doing pretty well until a thunderstorm blows an unexpected visitor through her balcony window, and she finds herself nursing a wounded angel back to health.

Tending to the angel's wounds teaches Cassie a lot more than she expected about fear...and about desire.

This was an interesting story. I myself have a fear of heights, though not to Cassie’s extent, so I can understand where she is coming from.

One point I really like about this book is the trouble they have communicating. It is erroneous to assume that another creature, even a being so similar to ourselves, would automatically speak a language we could understand. And, though it takes a while, and some trial and error, they do find a way to understand each other.

While I do find parts of this story a bit on the purple side, I enjoyed it, and highly recommend it.

  1. Thanks so much for the great review! I'm glad to hear that Cassie's fear of heights rings true with someone who actually has that. Communication was definitely something I wanted to explore with this story.

    Thank you,
