When you have only two pennies left in the world, buy a loaf of bread with one, and a lily with the other.—Chinese Proverb

Through the ages flowers have delighted and empowered us. Shakespeare talks about the sweet smell of roses. The Koran tells us that flowers feed the spirit, while Henry Beecher thought they were the sweetest things God ever made without a soul.Myths and legends abound around the eternal flower.

In this book, you will discover the wonders and uses of flowers such as gardens, aromatherapy, edibles, crafts, their personal language and the carnivores of the plant kingdom.

Flower Power is an interesting read full of many tidbits of information that have to do with flowers. A good book if you are a novice or beginning gardener or even someone who loves flowers and would like to know the many ways I which to use and enjoy them. With its many sections on different subjects such as the various types of gardens to the use of flowers in aromatherapy this book is a nice and entertaining read. Even a personality test is included just for the fun of it. This book gives the reader some knowledge that they can use in their own lives and gardens. All the information is clear and easy to read keeping the reader interested in the chapters. I enjoyed the different lists and even the simple recipes for the aromatherapy. With many charts and lists of flowers telling the reader about all that flowers can do and stand for this is a nice and easy book to follow. If you like flowers and enjoy taking the time to experience the many ways that you can use and enjoy them than this book is for you.
