Blurb: Half wolf, half man, Aragon has abandoned his brethren to repay a debt of honor; he is sworn to kill a rogue Blood Hunter, though exacting revenge will doom him to a ghostly existence trapped between two worlds. But when a mortal woman unexpectedly calls him to her side, the heat of her soft flesh arouses a hunger in him that threatens to complicate his mission.

Dr. Annette Batista, a dedicated healer, is determined to find her missing sister. With the amulet found at the site of her sister's disappearance, she unwittingly summons a shadowy warrior. She wonders if she can trust this powerful male named Aragon, who claims he can vanquish her sister's captor -- the very monster he's vowed to destroy. Or is Annette blinded by her shocking passion for the most alluring, mysterious man she's ever seen?

Review: OK, the first book caught me, and the second book hooked me. And to be honest with you, it hurts. I want to pick up the third right now and find out which set of characters I get to delve into next. This book throws us into the lives of Dr. Batista. From the first book I really thought this chick was an ice queen. Now that we get to meet her and see what is going on in her world and get to understand her world, she has a right to be an ice queen. Again, I guess we shouldn't judge the proverbial book by its cover. Now, Aragon **sighs deeply and heads into the other room to change into something a little more comfortable** is smokin' hot. These Shadowmen just keep getting hotter! How is this even possible? Jared was hot, but Aragon has got to be my favorite so far..... OK Ms. St.Giles, what have you got in store for me now? Well written characters...check. Action...check. Steam...check. Hot men...check. Strong women...check. What more could I ask for? Let's find out in Shadowmen 3......I'll be back!

The Fellorians: a new breed of vampire, a new breed of passion

The newly formed Trinity of Fellorian vampires have their first
mission together in the mortal world: Return the Merlone Dagger to the
realm of Felloria. However, newly rejuvenated vampire Arrbern has a
more personal mission. He needs to reunite with the beautiful woman
from his past life: in 1815. With a lost love and more dangerous
enemies to face, will the Fellorians ever be returned to their homeland?

Having read, reviewed, and really enjoyed the first book in The Fellorians Series, I jumped on the chance to review the second in the second. Although this book remained as steamy as the first, I found its conclusion to be a little bit rushed. There was some mystery involved in the plot here and I would have very much liked to have seen it drawn out a little bit more. The importance behind The Trinity was never really shown, which I had also been looking forward to seeing. It is obvious at the end that this is not the last book in the series so I would recommend reading it for continuities sake and I am hopeful for the next book.

Ali Hernandez knows better than anyone that good girls finish last. Last in love, last in life and last in the line to get laid. Finishing last in the eyes of Jonas Lennox, however, is the final straw. When Jonas ends things with her because of her lack of experience, Ali does what she does best, turned lemons into lemonade. Six months later she’s forced to face the man she worked so hard to get out of her system at her friend’s birthday party.

The birthday surprise is on Jonas, however, because Ali's the last person he expects to see. He’s tried his best to put the sexy voluptuous woman out of his mind, even though she never left his heart. He knows he can't be the man she wants, because she'll never consent to participating in his voyeuristic and exhibitionist games.

Ali is my hero! She knows what she wants and she is determined to get him. Too bad Jonas is not completely in line with her plans – at least, not at first. Ms. Matthews has a gift for creating strong-willed characters, and Jonas and Ali are the latest in a series of not to be missed go-getters. I truly loved watching these two struggle to come to terms with defining what their relationship should be and determine who will control in what direction it will move. Added to the fun, games and hysterical laughter is the well meaning, but not always well intentioned (?) assistance offered by their mutual friends and co-workers. What a cast of entertaining secondary characters Ms. Matthews created for Soaked to liven things up a bit. As if this book with its elements of BDSM and light “dom” action needs to be livened up any more! I had the best time reading Soaked, and I can’t wait to re-read it and any books connected to these characters again; I just hope others will have a chance to do the same! This is one of those not to be missed books, trust me…

Is that a gun in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me? Petite but impulsive Brooke Welch went haywire when a careless heartbreaker got her kid sister pregnant, then up and disappeared. No way would the playboy evade his responsibility, even if Brooke had to kidnap him, hogtie him, and force him to be a father.
Trouble was, Brooke hijacked the wrong man! Worse, the drop-dead gorgeous hunk she held captive in a cabin proved to be Alex Bradshaw, her new boss, who was anonymously investigating crimes at his Quicksilver factory. Suddenly, Brooke was up to her ears in danger…and desire. Caught between a rock and, um, a hard place. And finding it—and Alex's arms—an all-too-perfect fit…

How much fun can two people have with a kidnapping and a case of mistaken identity? Apparently quite a bit if you are Brooke Welch and Alex Bradshaw. A Perfect Fit starts off as a comedy of errors and keeps the reader chuckling until the very end. Perhaps that is because Ms. Smythe has a gift for writing comedy, enhanced by her great sense of timing and sharp wit. Brooke is extremely endearing as she blusters her way from one situation to the next, blindly stumbling into near dangerous situations and managing to survive to go on to the next near miss. Cute, pixyish and adorable, she is the perfect heroine for this story, and the perfect foil to uptight Alex. Alex, on the other hand, manages to appear as her unlikely savior at every turn. He is a great hero: tall, dark and handsome with an irrepressible and droll sense of humor. Ms. Smythe manages to create an interesting story with charming main characters and a wonderfully supportive cast of secondary characters all set in a quaint little town that manages to have a personality of its own. It is impossible not to like these people, this book, and ultimately its “perfect” ending. For a good laugh – read A Perfect Fit, it’s perfectly delightful.

Tina doesn't know she's a witch. It will take Charun, her demon
Familiar, to convince her to make love with him and let loose her witch
powers. For if she doesn't, then with the demon army about to bring
Armageddon to the Mortal Realm on Halloween, she won't stand a chance in
Hell.

Ms. Phelan does a very thorough job with her story, establishing a credible background for her characters and providing a wonderful world for them to inhabit. She sets her scenes carefully and paints a lush picture, very visual and true to her storyline. While we are meant to feel Charun’s impatience and frustration with the time delay in finally meeting his mate, we are also witness to the full scope of Ms. Phelan’s talents when she describes that initial encounter. Charun is a very unusual individual, and Ms. Phelan certainly has fun with his character and that of his witch, Tina. Since Charun started as a succubus, his behavior and the “sprit” of the book are as sexual as one would expect with such beings included, perhaps this book should come with a warning label as parts can be quite steamy. The sex is not all gratuitous even though it is fairly graphic and quite plentiful for a short novel. Luckily, Being Familiar With a Witch does have a detailed plotline, one that it manages to stay faithful to ‘til the very end. It is this steadfastness that makes the book an enjoyable read, and one definitely I can recommend to anyone with an adventurous spirit.

Now he is driven by revenge against the man responsible, a ruthless killer determined to claim Miranda – something Noah refuses to let happen. But when faced with an impossible choice, will he be able to protect Miranda or will he lose her for good?

Starstruck, the meeting of human and celestial being, is a quick and easy read. The story began and ended with action and sex; with sex being dominant theme in this short little novel. Starstruck was fun to read but did not require great concentration. Fun and sexy, Starstruck is a ‘sister’ to all those trashy novels your mother read; however, there is a lot more than suggested romance and come-hither looks. Michelle Lauren is graphic without being hard core in her descriptions of the sexual encounters between the lovers. It is not the next great American novel but it was a sun way to pass a couple of hours.

Canaan, a broken god, and Maia, a young FireRaiser, face the horrors behind a sentient forest fire razing the continent of Gnoss. Gnoss' divine king, Alred, is too wrapped up in his own fears to believe that his kingdom is truly threatened by a power greater than his own. These three characters collide in a battle of wills. Each is dependent on the other. Each believes he is alone to battle the demons that come from inside as well as those hiding in the darkest forests.

Caul Shroud Veil is a confusing and erratic story. It takes most of the first chapter to clarify who the story is about (Maia) and then introduces a new primary character in the second chapter. The characters’ worlds are connected and they meet briefly throughout the book. The trilogy should have started with the story of Maia’s parents, which becomes integral to the storyline, because the book feels as if it is missing a chapter at the beginning. The author used many pages explaining what was taking place, she was very descriptive as to surroundings and feelings, but used few pages on dialogue. The book kept hinting around what the reader already guessed. The book was very obvious. Major events were briefly touched upon. The book was very close to being a good story but just fell short of making me invested in the outcome.

What happens when things seem to be too good to be true?

Alex, a workaholic corporate executive, bent on controlling and orchestrating every second of her life, is on the verge of having it all. Her dream job right is right at her fingertips, she is finally healing from the death of her father, and then the perfect man enters the picture.

Daniel seems too good to be true. Alex wants to trust him but feels she can't, after all, what man can be trusted? But Daniel chips away at her tough exterior, and as soon as she lets her guard down, her beliefs are confirmed. Daniel is not what he appears to be and he becomes the catalyst that sparks an unusual turn of events that causes her world to come crashing down.

Because of him, life as she knows it, turns three hundred and sixty degrees.

This was a very interesting, character driven story. Alex is a career woman who is very precise in her daily routines and in her work. She has been betrayed and disappointed in relationships in the past. Those past experiences and her drive to succeed have contributed to her being a control freak who finds it hard to be spontaneous and hard to trust men.

As a top producer for the investment management firm she works for, Alex is expecting to be promoted to the Assistant VP position. When she gives an important presentation to the company board she meets a new employee, Daniel. Although she is curious where Daniel came from and how he was hired with her not knowing about it, they are clearly attracted to each other. Daniel is very polite and persistent in his pursuit of Alex even though she is terribly wary. Unexpectedly, Daniel gets the promotion, creating distress for Alex and increasing her wariness of his attentions toward her.

The story centers on Alex’s conflicting emotions over the poor performance of the funds at work and her being drawn to this fine looking and very nice man whom she has difficulty trusting. About a third of the way into the book you discover that Daniel has a major secret that you know will only cause trauma further in the tale! Their relationship continues to develop on a rocky path with Daniel pursuing and Alex sharing reluctantly. The events that unfold are startling and painful for Alex, but they lead to a new and ultimately positive direction in her life.

I liked how the author exposed more of Alex’s nature and conflicts through her relationships with her close friend, Lauren (who has been dating a sexy, but rough character who Alex of course doesn’t trust to be good for Lauren - a good subplot), Alex’s mother, a fairly recent widow, a co-worker who Alex’s mentors and even Alex’s therapist. I found the story itself very appealing and I liked Alex’s determination and ultimate success. Unfortunately I felt the writing was a bit stiff and did not always flow easily. There were a couple of side tracks which were interesting but not properly followed up or smoothly connected. Still this was an enjoyable read.

Though this is the second book in Ms. Lee's Fantasy Knights series, I found that it stands alone perfectly well. I did not feel confused at all, wondering what the first book had revealed already. Her writing style is sensuous, drawing the reader in from the very first moment with vivid descriptions and flowing language. I found this book a very pleasurable and easy read. The characters too were life-like and their interactions with one another perfectly believable. I definitely recommend picking up this book and, as I will be doing, the first one in the series.

Have a few extra hours on your hands and want to read something hot. Pick up this book. This is the author's first attempt at writing a contemporary story; and in my opinion, she has hit the nail on the head. First, it combines three of my favorite things, a motorcycle, a sexy man and some very hot sex and not necessarily in this order. The two main characters, Glenda and Dawson, ignite a flame that just can't be put out. She tries to ignore them until someone drives her off the road, then begins sending her sick letters. Althea returns to the small Texas town where the murder happened, planning to solve the case herself. Her main problem is avoiding the sheriff, her old crush, Duncan Perry.

Duncan can’t believe his best friend’s little sister has grown into such a wonderful bundle of curves. At first he's stunned by his reaction to her, but never one to be slow, he starts putting the moves on her. It isn’t until he's completely seduced by her that he realizes she's putting herself in danger to solve the old crime.
As they fall in love with each other, the stalking and danger escalates. Women matching Althea’s description are being found raped and murdered. The new lovers must now work overtime to figure out just what went wrong twenty years earlier, but the mysteries they will reveal could jeopardize everything they're fighting for.

As we immediately discover in Her Mother’s Killer, when all else in your life goes awry, you can always return home. After a bitter and contentious divorce and believing herself to be the victim of a stalker, Thea Warren escapes to the safety of her childhood hometown of Crocker, Texas looking for a haven from her troubles. Unfortunately, as the place where her mother was killed and her father disappeared it may prove to be a catalyst to the stalker especially as Thea is attempting to re-open the investigation into her mother’s murder. The police have always considered her father responsible, but Thea and her brother Jed always decried that theory, and now she feels she has the proof she needs to get someone’s attention. Too bad it happens to be the wrong person…. Added to this interesting little complication is the attraction Thea feels for her childhood friend Duncan Perry – Duncan, who just happens to be the town sheriff and her brother Jed’s good friend. Throw in Thea’s obnoxious ex-husband, a possible serial killer roaming around Crocker, and an odd assortment of just plain entertaining townsfolk and you have a captivating book that is simply too good to put down.

Her Mother’s Killer is a surprisingly suspenseful and griping murder mystery that leaves the reader guessing until the very end. From the first page we are caught up in Thea’s story, wondering who is tormenting her, hoping she has found a refuge in Crocker and Duncan, not to mention the answers to her questions about her parents’ deaths. Ms. Schroeder does a fantastic job of combining elements of intrigue and romance to such a degree that by the end of the book the reader has a vested interest in knowing both the identity of the killer and the status of Thea’s love life. The writing is descriptive, the emotions vivid: as you are reading the story it is easy to find yourself feeling and experiencing the situations with each character. While Ms. Schroeder thankfully adds more than enough love scenes to satisfy even the most ardent erotica fan, her touch is delicate and her characters have enough depth to make the book about more than just bodies coming together on paper. It is a joy reading a book by an author who can actually write, and write well. This is book that any fan of romantic suspense needs to read very soon, you will not regret it.

Pam and Tom are fantastic characters and you are rooting for their relationship from the very beginning, yet there are many obstacles along the way and their love just doesn’t run smoothly. Tom’s ex-wife Susan is pure evil and will stop at nothing to destroy their blossoming relationship.

The book is full of references to God and the character’s belief in him and you are rooting for these lovely characters to be together without all the problems they have faced.

At the height of the French and Indian War, a young English widow ventures into the colonial frontier in search of a fresh start. She never expects to find it in the arms of the half-Shawnee, half-French warrior who makes her his prisoner in the raging battle to possess a continent––or to be aided by a mysterious white wolf and a holy man.

Rebecca Elliot, although widowed and in a new country, is brave and determined. Her encounter with Shoka, a Shawnee warrior, has caused her to fall in love. The storyline of Through the Fire is well-written and uncommonly descriptive. It is obvious Ms. Trissel took great time and effort to research Indian beliefs and their way of life. I enjoyed reading about how they prepared for battle and their choice and use of weapons. I read with bated breath every time Rebecca let her temper and stubborness get the best of her. I love the interaction between her and all the other characters in the book. The tension between the Shawnee and the Catawba tribes is palpable. The author writes with great passion and emotion. I know anyone who buys this book will take great pleasure in it.

The final installment in Robert Appleton’s sci-fi survival trilogy.
Jason Remington has been abducted by a monstrous creature. Having barely survived the ocean crossing, Kate Borrowdale must track him through an alien forest and over its low gravity roof. She finds him alive, but he is not alone. Two men and a woman, also survivors from the Fair Monique's crash, have rescued him and killed the creature. How? Kate senses they're hiding a secret and doesn’t trust them. Things look up when she finds a mountain cave for them all to live in. Procuring food proves tricky, however, as it means venturing back into the heart of the forest, where Kate and Jason find themselves being watched...by the real inhabitants.

This final book in the trilogy adds the new facet of dealing with the social aspects of surviving as a small group. Each of the other survivors, with their different talents and personalities, brings an additional dimension and added interest to the story. Not only do Kate and Jason have to deal with basic survival needs, but now they have to deal with secrecy, distrust, jealousies, leadership struggles and other emotional aspects of society -albeit a small society!

The author continues this fantastical world with more unusual terrains, environments and dangerous creatures. One very interesting terrain in this book is a low gravity canopy that hangs above the thick and menacing forest. Think of a trampoline surface and a chase by predators reminiscent of dinosaurs and Owl–Men who may be leading Kate and Jason to a way out… or not!

The dangers increase as the survivors discover that some of the enemy creatures are very smart and learn from experience and example! You are kept on the edge of your seat waiting to find out if and how Kate, Jason and their new friends will survive! And although I was disappointed that the book had to come to an end, I was pleased with the way the author resolved the story and summarized an interesting philosophy of survival.

I would comment that I thought the author may have tried too hard to embellish this book unnecessarily with uncommon words. I had to look up at least three terms and that is very unusual for me. Nonetheless, I fully enjoyed this third book as well as the first two.

These books could possibly be read alone but I do not know why anyone would want to do that. You really need to read all three to get the full story and not miss any of the excitement! If you like wild imagination, action and adventure in a strange new world, you Need to read this series! And if you are a sci-fi fan I would consider this a Must Read series for you!!

The Elemental Crossing' is the exciting sequel to Robert Appleton's 'The Eleven-Hour Fall'.

After their hard-won escape from the mountain peaks and many perils of the desert, Kate and Jason are faced with their most difficult challenge yet on Kratos: crossing a vast ocean on nothing but an improvised raft. Their relationship grows as hope dwindles. Procuring food, water and a safe course across stretches their survival expertise to its limits. Despite help from an unexpected ally, what else lurks beneath the surface of this alien sea?

Intimate character reflections weave through the epic scale of this second installment in the thrilling romantic survival series.

Although this second book did not move quite as fast as the first it was still filled with plenty of new creatures, dangers and action. I loved the unexpected allies and one in particular is a character all to herself…becoming a beloved pet although not one I could ever imagine! The array of sea creatures is pretty remarkable!

Kate and Jason continue to press forward in this strange world, sharing their intelligence and common sense. As their relationship begins to deepen, they get separated and each has to face incredible dangers on their own. It is pretty amazing that they can live through all the trials they encounter… but it is a fantasy after all!

During their struggles they have to confront the possibility of going on alone…assuming they even survive to go on! The first book was primarily action and adventure. In addition to more dangers and adventures, the second book is more contemplative: addressing the reactions and motivations of man and woman when life comes down to the very basics of surviving all alone. This book leaves you at a startling point where you have to go on to the last book if you want to know the fates of Kate and Jason!

The 'not knowing why' a man disappears is hard. Nicole 'The Militant' Barnes understands that firsthand. When Ethan Dennaud III walked away without a even a wave goodbye, Nicole's life spiraled out of control to the point she didn't recognize the face staring back at her from the mirror.

Now, through a series of seemingly unrelated events, he's back. Ethan has always been the man of her dreams.

With his re-entry into her life and tale of why he left, will she let him make her dreams come true?

This is a very well-written love story about love lost, sought and recovered. I felt Nicole's pain of lost love, and I commiserated with Ethan's lost memory. The way Ms. Cromwell weaves their paths back onto the right track is unique and unexpected. The reader will appreciate the characters' determination to right a wrong and persistence in achieving answers to questions. My only concern is the title of the book, in my opinion, had very little, if any, relation to the story. It seems almost an afterthought. However, the content of the book makes the title a non-issue.

How can a woman choose between her husband and her Master?

Some women might think Leah's existence heavenly. She shares her home with two sexy men who both adore her. Ten years married to lusty, artistic Daniel, she still enjoys the discipline and release offered by Greg. But her lovers' jealousy and possessiveness have made Leah's life a hell.

Unable to bear the continuous conflict, she flees to an idyllic seaside resort to ponder her future. Gradually she realises that she cannot live without either of her lovers. If the two men can't settle their differences, though, then how can she bear to live with them?

Ms. Sarai details the complex relationship of two men and one woman in Truce of Trust. It is evident through the dialogue and emotions that while both men love her, she finds it difficult to make their threesome work without jealousy. As the reader turns the pages, it becomes clear how Leah must find herself and discover her own wants and needs before she can expect Greg and Daniel to fulfill them. This short story is a good read for a weekend or a train ride home after work. I would not recommend attempting to read this without the hope of a cold shower in the near future.

When Brian Fitzroy is unable to save the woman he loved from her murderous husband, he is imprisoned with no hope of rescue since his family believes him dead. Years pass until the day a beautiful woman enters his cell. Constance Portnoy, the treasured and protected ward of the Fitzroys, is seduced by Loutrant, the man who imprisoned Brian. Realizing too late, she becomes his latest prisoner.

Even as she falls for Brian, he determines she will escape the torment he endures. After her escape, Brian is rescued and Loutrant seemingly falls to his death.
They both have a difficult time adjusting. Brian rebuffs all who offer sympathy. Constance hides her own pain while concentrating on bringing the man she loves back into the light.

The two former prisoners fall in love and take a chance at happiness, unaware Loutrant is still alive and intends to win at all costs.

This book takes the reader on a journey of perceptions. Brian takes his life for granted until his freedom is taken from him as a prisoner. Then he learns to accept what little joy he can such as a day without being beaten. Ms. Lanergan creatively allows the story to unfold with flashbacks stragetically written in to give you the whole story bit by bit. I understood Constance's desire to be loved by Brian but also her inability to overcome the horrible nightmares that were caused by her own imprisonment. Throughout the story, it becomes increasingly clear that no matter what horrors life brings you, there almost certainly is a path to happiness if you only dare to look for it.

Sparks start flying when Stacey Parker meets ex-military, hostage-rescuer, Cord McConnell, and she begins to wonder if they will survive this assignment in the wilderness without killing each other.

Stacey Parker was a tracker called in to help Cord McConnell find two teenagers that had been kidnapped. From the moment Cord met Stacey the sparks started flying! The minute her smart mouth opened, he was captivated by her. She was unlike any female he had ever met and was intrigued by her on so many levels. These two characters were explosive together and that was just when they were sitting next to each other! Sexual tension crackled through the air the minute they laid eyes on each other and the book just kept on getting better. I was breathless at one moment and laughing the next. The action scenes were outstanding and the research that went into being a tracker fascinated me and I wanted to learn more about what they actually did. Cord was one of those hard bodied hunky ex-military guys that just makes your knees get weak. One of the funniest parts of the book was when Cord has to get his mind off of Stacey and he has to mentally dismantle an M16 to do so! Oh my gosh, I loved Cord. His character was strong when he had to be and oh so gentle when necessary. He was excellent with children *sigh* and just downright yummy!

Ancient mysteries control a modern woman's destiny...

From the first, Dr. Elena Navarro senses that the wounded man she discovers outside the gates of her rural clinic is not an ordinary mortal. With his chest ripped open, Jorge Pélikal still demonstrates unnatural strength and power.

Elena is irresistibly attracted to Jorge, although he warns her their coupling could open the gates of chaos. She and Jorge fall in love, despite his dire predictions.
Gradually Elena comes to understand that Jorge is a supernatural player in a cosmic drama that will determine the fate of the earth and of mankind - and that even if he triumphs in his apocalyptic struggle with his nemesis, she may lose him forever.

This shifter book is written with such vivid and detailed description of scenery that the reader can actually envision it. As the story unfolds, it is evident that the plot will be engrossing and compelling. I thoroughly enjoyed the graphic words used regarding the rituals and the shifting of the characters. Elena and Jorge are old souls brought together after years apart, and their hearts know it immediately. Their love knows few boundaries, and you can't help but cheer them on. Anyone reading this will feel transported to a world filled with wonder, suspense and romance.

William Smithback, a New York Times reporter, and his wife, Nora Kelly, an anthropologist with the New York Museum of Natural History, are celebrating their first anniversary when Smithback is fatally stabbed in their Manhattan apartment, apparently by a creepy neighbor, Colin Fearing, an out-of-work British actor. Given eyewitness descriptions of the killer, including one from Kelly herself, as well as surveillance footage showing a blood-stained Fearing emerging from the apartment building right after the crime, the case appears to be open and shut—until Pendergast and his NYPD ally, Lt. Vincent D'Agosta, learn that Fearing died almost two weeks earlier.

Animal sacrifices, Voodoo, Zombies and an intelligent Secret Agent that is mysterious can be found between the pages of Cemetery Dance. I’ll take a moment to warn readers this is not a romance but a straight mystery novel. However, if you like mysteries of the old school, where you follow the detective as they uncover the clues – you’ll love Cemetery Dance. It is an involved mystery with supernatural elements and the ninth book in the Special Agent Pendergast series. While it is the ninth book, it is the first of the series this reviewer has read. Mr. Preston and Mr. Child have written a book that doesn’t require the reading of the previous eight books to understand. I must admit though, I am going to be adding the previous books to my to buy list.

I enjoyed following Agent Pendergast and Lt. Vincent D’Agosta as they tried to solve the mystery of William Smithback. I love a mystery that leads me down one path – but when the mystery is solved I see how the clues fit together.

This is a mystery that follows in the tradition of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes novels and is more than worthy of the comparisons.

Imagine a reality show full of chains and whips! Dominant, Egan Morton, has decided to find a new submissive by doing a reality TV show. Ananda, who is out for revenge, participates. But will they be able to work together or will the pressures of the other contestants stand in their way?

Ms. Midway…or should I say Mistress Midway has taken a daring and brave leap. Usually when you read a BDSM novel you are either inside the mind of the dominant or the submissive, in Love My Way, you are able to be inside the mind of both Eagan and Ananda.

This story is arousing both for the reader and the characters. There are things in this novel that aren’t in your everyday BDSM read, it’s not for the faint of heart. The story is intriguing for the reader. It’s full of feral cast of characters all wanting their shot with Eagan. Ananda is only there for revenge and she’s determined to make it in show business. This will be a great start for her career. She’s also a character who grows as the story progresses, we don’t see her on one level like most erotic reads. She’s a 3-dimensial character. Eagan is rich and successful, but at the same time you can tell he’s hurting on the inside. The romance and sex between these two is so hot and arousing. But it’s not all about the sex, it’s about love and respect, which is another factor proving it’s different than most other reads. It’s a must-read for any BDSM fan and hey if you aren’t one who reads BDSM than it’s a great book to start with! Enjoy!

But Clarissa has no intention of marrying the man her parents have chosen. She wants someone fun to play with. Someone like Maddox Perry, casino owner and absolutely gorgeous Dom. When Clarissa makes a play for Maddox she isn't just trying to tick off her parents: this time she's truly attracted.

After getting a taste of Clarissa, Maddox knows he's found the perfect sub for him. The only problem is Clarissa doesn't want to be tied down, permanently that is. He just has to teach her that the temperatures aren't the only thing smoldering in the Nevada desert. And surrendering to her submissive desires will give her more freedom than she ever thought possible.

I’ve decided that BDSM is difficult genre to write, as there is a fine line between kinky and creepy. And it is possible to be both.

The sex is hot, of that there is no doubt. And the story holds nothing back, if you are looking for a BDSM heavy story, this is definitely it.

However, what ruins this story for me is the pacing. Clarissa confesses to having no BDSM experience, yet within days of meeting Maddox, she lets him drive her out into the middle of nowhere, where they dive into what can only be called a full-fledge lifestyle. It leaves the relationship feeling more like Stockholms Syndrome.

Overall, this is a decent story and I would recommend it for anyone looking for something BDSM heavy.

What Cassie doesn't know is that Neil used to have a boyfriend. Lou. They used to pick up women together, have sex with them, enjoy them, but they never found one they wanted to keep. Then Lou moved on. Neil tried. He tried to go straight for Cassie and for his career, but he never stopped loving Lou and without that man in his bed, he's never going to have everything he needs, no matter how much he loves Cassie.

Once Cassie starts digging around, the truth can't be denied. And neither can the chemistry between Cassie and Lou. Is she the one they needed all along? Cassie's never had two men before. Not even just in bed. The idea of a ménage life scares her a little, honestly. But now that she knows how to please her boyfriend, she's not letting him go. Even if it means learning to love her boyfriend's boyfriend.

The chemistry between Cassie, Lou and Neil is hot, hot, hot. The book flows from one erotic sex scene to the next with the ebb and flow reminiscent of the tide changing from low tide to high tide. The emotional entanglement between the three characters is complex. The love for one's boyfriend is just as intense and real as the love for that same person's girlfriend. I’m a naturally optimistic type of person, you know? Yeah, I think good things will happen, only they usually don’t. Take Noel: even though he’s educated and rich and he don’t think he’s even gay, I want to belong to him. I want him to take me completely---Dane Connelly

Dane Connelly is a gay janitor and boxer with a soft heart and a simple outlook--he wants to meet the right man, someone who will look past his macho sport and put him in the place of a submissive. He wants to fall in love and belong to his partner.

On the surface, Noel Atherton, an intellectual, shy, and sexually repressed university graduate student with a crippled leg, could not be the dominant lover that Dane longs for. But after their first meeting, when Dane disables the fire alarm in the library and lights a cigarette, Noel is drawn from his shell. Soon, Noel needs to touch Dane, exploring his sexuality for the first time. And both learn that looks can be deceiving.

However, Noel's controlling father is appalled by the relationship and quietly arranges to get Dane out of the way and punish him for daring to love a man so far above his station.

Ms. Irving pens a very compelling, strong-hearted book. While the reader is pulled into the world of boxing, the underlying current of Dane's constant low self-esteem is ironically mixed in. Most boxers have an ego that usually won't fit through the door. Dane boxes because it is all he has known. He is a simple man with simple needs. When he meets Noel, the bookish man with a doctorate, he sees all he has been missing. My heart became so involved in this love story that I found myself thinking of the characters while I was at work because I so desperately wanted to find out how it ended. The love story of Neal and Dane will stay with the reader long after the final round bell sounds. The Janitor is a book not to be overlooked or put into a "to be read" pile. It demands to be read and appreciated for what it is; a glimpse into the purest of souls, the most innocent of hearts and the incomparable quest to love and be loved merely for who you are.

War has destroyed four fifths of the population. Governments have fallen. A former covert agent wanders the wilderness, lending her skills where she can. She is crowned queen for her efforts and meets the warrior who is her match. He’s handsome, courageous, and good hearted, but at a young age was recruited by the most evil warlord walking the land. He’s sent in as a spy to bring back the beautiful queen. Shock is in store for him when he meets her. He doesn’t want to bring her back for execution, but if he doesn’t, her people will be slaughtered. For love, he chooses to save those she cherishes.

He watches while she’s taken captive, not lifting his sword in her defense; watches her suffer punishment and in agony can do nothing about it. This queen and her warrior will battle evil, but will the price be their love or their lives?

Nadya is the main character of this book. She is the leader of a group of survivors in a post apocalyptic world, an ex-spy, an expert swordswoman and martial artist, beautiful and exotic, she can hunt game, preserve meat, and knows what plants are edible. Oh and she has visions too. Men love her, women want to be her.

And for all that she is, they make her their queen.

Nadya is perfect, which in literature, is a bad thing. It makes her un-relatable, and it makes the story boring. There is no suspense or drama. Everything she sets out to do is done without effort. She is so smart and hard working that without her to dispense tasks and teach skills, the rest of the group literally sits around eating leaves and staring into space. Not one other person in this group of 300 people had the presence of mind to gather water, search for nut and berries, or hunt game.

The romance in this story follows suit.

There is no chance encounter in the forest, or passing glance on a battle field. No, the guy learns of her when a gypsy says they will wed, so he leaves to go see her – after verbosely professing how he does not believe in fortune telling. It’s love at first sight of course, and the guy who has been the right hand of a mass murder since he was a child is perfectly willing to reverse course to be at her side.

The book is dull and predictable; thus I cannot say I would recommend it.

Reading this book enables the reader to enjoy the paranormal world of Tenebrae. This is a world where demons, Halflings and Changelings all exist in a parallel universe. I became intrigued by not only the magic and wonder of the environment but also of the characters who were such an integral part of the stories. The two main plots do intersect a little over halfway through the book, and several questions are answered. However, some questions are left to be addressed in the next installment of the series which ensures that readers will be coming back for more.

Set in the late 1950s this college romance features Slim Canton and Natalie Adams. Slim is on scholastic probation after flunking calculus. Natalie Adams is a brilliant, electrical engineering student, a beautiful sorority girl who has no interest in Slim. This serves to make Slim want to pursue a relationship with her. He takes a desperate step to find common ground between them and hopefully will be able to break through her icy and arrogant barrier.

I felt so comfortable and at home while reading End of a String. It was refreshing to read a book about how loved used to be before everything got so complicated. Sweet, romantic and with that first love feeling, the characters of Slim and Natalie drew me into the story. They were as different as night and day but with a little bit of patience and persistance, this relationship might just work. But of course Natalie would have to be agreeable to that. Natalie was a girl who, upon meeting her, has a very harsh and unfriendly demeanor and does not let people get too close. A beautiful girl on the outside who will do whatever is necessary to keep you at an arms length. Slim is her polar opposite. He felt he wasn't that good looking and wasn't as smart as Natalie, he questioned himself if he even had anything to offer her. I loved how he was so unsure of himself but stepped out of his comfort zone and had the nerve to ask her for a date even after she tried to make it obvious he wouldn't get anywhere. End of a String strips romance down to the bare essentials of love .... that pure genuine unconditional feeling where you would sacrifice your own happiness for the happiness of another.

I have read other books by Larry Hammersley and this book holds a special place in my heart. It just brought everything down a notch to show what true love really is. If you are in the mood for a quick read that is charming and engaging, I recommend you pick up End of a String. The 1950's college setting will take you back to a time and place where everything seemed right with the world. So come on, take a break, put your feet up and slip into this sweet read and yes, you can thank me later for suggesting you do so.

When Liam spies Caden's car stopped in a snowstorm, he's instantly struck by the dark beauty. A whirlwind courtship brings the promise of a lasting relationship, but Caden's stubborness proves to be a roadblock. Can Liam convince Caden that his love for her is real, and not just a dream?

I loved the characters in this book and thought they were good for each other. Caden is very sweet but vulnerable. She is scared to give her heart to another man while mourning her husband who died in the line of duty. Liam (Gunnery Sergeant with the United States Marine Corps) has the hots for Caden and hopes to break through her barrier. I think the lesson learned here is that life is not guaranteed so if you get a chance at love……..run with it.

Amanda Jo Spoils needed some major alone time. She was tired of Pride life and the pampered, self-indulgent attitude of its male members. To think that she was expected to find a mate among the shallow pool of men, most of which had at least one possessive female already! She hadn’t spent four years in Special Forces and completed two tours in Iraq to come home and cater to the wants of any man. No, Amanda had some serious thinking to do about her future, and the wilds of Alaska seemed to be just what the doctor ordered.

But, boy, are the shifters restless in bear country! Not only has she fallen into the middle of a mystery surrounding an ancient artifact, but now she has not one, but two Alpha shifters determined to make her their mate. She can play them off against each other, but what happens when one wins? Amanda doesn't want a man, or a shifter, especially not a dominant one… But oh, how she secretly longs to be a submissive, the spoils of their Alpha war.

After spending the last ten years in the military, Amanda goes home to her Pride. Her father has given her an ultimatum, she chooses a mate or he will choose for her. Needing time to figure out her life and come to terms with her father’s demands, Amanda decides to take a two-week long vacation of solitude in Alaska. She never imagined that she would run into two hulking male bears.

It’s mating season for the bears and both Kam and Regan have caught Amanda’s scent. They both have made it their goal to claim this new feline as their own. They invoke an old law, “the Rite of the Victor”. Now Amanda must choose her mate from one of these two bears before nightfall or they will have a death match, winner gets Amanda. Adding to Amanda’s already chaotic life, she gets involved with a mystery concerning an ancient relic, that her mother helped uncover, and has Amanda shooting over to New York and getting her feet back into the work she was trained for.

I have to admit I have not read many shifter books, but I was totally pleased with this one, my little finger just would not stop hitting next page! The hero and heroine were perfectly matched wit for wit and their mating scenes were hot. Neither one wanted to give the other an inch; you were kept on your toes wondering what was going to happen between these two. You couldn’t ask for more in a book when you get shifters, mystery, hot scenes, and could it be love. Ms. Foxx did an excellent job of creating a story where the reader is pulled in and has no desire of getting out. You Gotta Read this one!!

Sarah Beauchamp has made a life for herself in the past having given up on returning to the present. She only has one question – What had happened?

Captain Matthew Barrington is determined to find the longest missing agent – Sarah. She was lost when the Time Displacement Unit exploded.

The Time Displacement Corps greatest fear is causing a Paradox. But when an agent has been missing for ten years, can they avoid it?

Poor Sarah, trapped in pre-Civil War Alabama through a time travel experiment gone wrong, forced to live her life in a strange time period without friends or family. As we see in Time Displacement Corps: Sarah’s Story, what Sarah does is make the best of her situation and make a new life for herself. Alabama in the late 1850’s is not the most comfortable time period for a 21st century feminist and Sarah has to work hard to keep from shocking the natives, but she does manage to live a low-key existence for the most part. Her friends consist of the slaves she has freed, and for the past ten years she has spent her time working on her small plantation. Luckily, before she has a chance to shock her neighbors and the local townsfolk, Sarah has a surprise of her own in the form of a visitor from the future, her 21st century future. A gentleman named Matthew Barrington arrives to change her life, hopefully for the better.

I truly enjoyed Delilah K. Stephans’ Time Displacement Corps: Sarah’s Story. The book opens with a descriptive introduction to her strong heroine, and it is this intro that sets the stage for the rest of the story. While it is a paranormal romance, it is also an adventure, with all of the accompanying excitement that goes with that genre. Ms. Stephens has a delicate touch, adding just the correct balance of literary elements to the story to make it credible and entertaining at the same time. She makes the reader believe in the possibility of the TDC, and the ability to jump through time - of course why not? It is up to Sarah and Matthew to convince us of other possibilities, and the romance between the two certainly succeeds in that endeavor as well. Ms. Stephans splices her book with references to favorite romance authors, reminiscing on what a favored hero or heroine should be. Matthew and Sarah are very interesting, unpredictable individuals. I liked the fact that they did not behave as one would have expected. The entire book is spectacular: wonderfully well-written, with a surprise ending that put a close to a very satisfying story. I definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in spending a few hours in the past, the future, and the present, it will be time well spent.

Blurb: He had an heir!

Greek hotel magnate Chrysander Anetakis’s former mistress was pregnant? And had amnesia? That meant Marley Jameson didn’t remember betraying him by selling company secrets. Or that he’d thrown her out of his life. So he told her a little white lie: they were engaged. Then he swept her away to his Greek island to await the birth of his baby and enjoy her sudden devotion…before tossing her out.

But he didn’t count on Marley regaining her memory so soon.

Review: There are not many times when I can say a book has moved me to the point of wanting to reach into the book and slap the living ... well you get the point ... out of the hero. He was such an arrogant ass that I just couldn't stand him. By the end of the book though, I was ready to marry him myself. Kudos go out to Ms. Banks on making completely, wonderfully, and utterly REAL characters. This book was written in such a way as to give you suspense without giving you the gore that can go with some suspense. Drama, suspense, love, hurt, betrayal, and redemption abound in this must read by Maya Banks!
