Phoebe, the Mistress of the Wild, protector of untamed beasts, orphans and society's cast-offs, quickly falls under the enchantments of Africa's magical Okavango Delta and a black wilderness guide named Peter. But the timeless magic is quickly overshadowed by her tormented visions . . . visions of betrayal and danger.

Peter is sure that the prophecies of the Wise Ones are coming true. Suddenly confronted with rogue elephants, problem leopards, venomous snakes and bush fires, Peter, who knows the Delta like the back of his hand, believes that the darkest threats are those that invade his dreams. Though irresistibly beautiful, Phoebe, the white huntress, might be the very demon of the prophecies of the Wise Ones . . . the woman who will end his life.

Into the darkness, Phoebe and Peter will be drawn into the clutches of her father's treacherous enemy.

Cornered by supernatural soldiers of evil and the echoes of betrayal that enslaved her people thousands of years ago, can they defy the prophecies and forge a powerful union that will change the world?

At the very core, this story lacks focus. It bounces about between two mythologies that are never really explained, information heavy paragraphs that have no bearing to the story, a great deal of prose about how beautiful everything is, and a romance that is at best unconvincing.

It opens with a Goddess from the Tuatha-de-Danann pantheon named Flidais. While I like mythology, this one threw me for a loop. But while using obscure mythological characters is fine, this story lacked the contextual clues that allowed me to move forward with the story despite my lacking knowledge.

This brings us to the character herself, who comes off as remarkably unsuited as a Goddess of the Hunt. She often reacts to the stories of predatory creature with fear, and even refers to them as evil, deformed, and depraved. Which I find terribly hypocritical. She also seems to forget she is a Goddess and has powers – going so far as to fight a brush fire by hand for several hours before deciding to just make it rain.

Finally, this story sounds like it was written back when “The Dark Continent” was still a mysterious and largely unknown place to be feared; which is in stark contrast to the modern tourist camp that makes up the bulk of the setting.

I honestly can’t recommend this story. It’s too erratic and too bland.

One look is all it takes for Enzo Saldana to crave her. One touch on the dance floor is all it takes for lust to blaze red-hot. His heart follows and he makes plans to spend the rest of his life with his English Rose--until she betrays him in the cruelest way possible.

Lexi Mayfield is best friends with heartache. They've kept constant company since a bad decision and the resulting accident shattered her life and four others. Even Enzo walked out on her without explanation, forcing her to hang up her salsa skirt and flee the horrific nightmare her life had become.

One year later, Fate brings Lexi face-to-face with Enzo in LA, and one look rekindles their fiery lust. One explicit text message seals the deal. No talk of the past, no plans for the future – just no holds barred, soul-searing sex.

But when old threats resurface, can their passion withstand the burden of survivor's guilt, the dark secret haunting her very existence, or Lexi's desire to publicly shed her "prude" label once and for all?

This is a very hot and steamy story. The story line is sad, but worth reading. It's about guilt, forgiveness, revenge and redemption. It's a very well written story with characters that are flawed and human. You read the turmoil of things done and the forgiveness given. After all is said and done it has a happy ending for most of the characters. I applaud Ms. Rose for writing a story that is morose and hard to read sometimes and then turning it around to a resolution for all and a happy ending for Lexi and Enzo and his sister.

Brought to Madam V's remote dominatrix castle by a calling and yen to start a new life, Thlya Straus falls in love with Will and discovers that destiny had more in store for her than she could have ever imagined.

Thyla learns a well-kept secret and is forced to make a decision. Can Thyla fully join the pack at the castle and fulfill prophesized events? Or will she turn her back on what, in her former life, she would have deemed insanity—and ultimately turn her back on Will, the love of her life?

The first part of this short story was very erotic. Every time I turned a page Thyla was going into the throws of needing release. This story is not for the faint of heart! I really wondered if the entire story would be that way, but as I got farther into the story and I met Will it totally changed my opinion. Sex is still a part of the whole story, but as you get into it, it becomes less consuming of the story. I was so glad I read the story. I got caught up in the characters and what was going to be on the next page. Ms. Masters took such a hot start to a story and added this great story line. I was so amazed. She gave the story everything you needed in 160 pages and I didn't feel like anything was missing, or that I needed more pages.

Not only is this book fast paced with beautiful description and intriguing dialogue, it has several twists and turns that will have you reading as fast as possible. The two main characters, Tobias and Charity, are truly amazing individuals to overcome the demons they have deep inside them. Through the book, you see each of them grow individually as well as together. Some of the secondary characters will either have you laughing at them or wanting to kill them yourself. Some of the issues discussed in this book are still relevant today. The one most prevalent in this book and in today's society is racism. I was humbled at how the author dealt with this situation and did so with grace and dignity. I want to thank the author, Nancy O'Berry, for a beautiful and entertaining love story. I'm looking forward to reading the other two books in this series as well as her future releases.

Steve Thomas has a self-destructive wife, three kids, more guilt than one man can handle...and a chance at true love for the first time in his life--if only he can allow himself to take it.

This is the third book I have read in the Wounded Warrior Series and it is my favorite so far! Although full of trauma it is also full of hope. The title is perfect as Steve and the children, and Kristina in her own way, are in a dark place waiting to come into the light and live fully again.

Steve married Jessie for the wrong reasons 12 years ago. Right before they married he fought with Jessie’s brother, Tommie, who had also been Steve’s best friend. Tommie was killed in a car accident before they could heal the breach and Steve has always carried the guilt of Tommie’s death and the weight of agreeing to take care of Jessie. But Jessie isn’t easy to take care of. She is model gorgeous but one headstrong and messed up young woman -- partying, doping and sleeping with whomever she falls in bed with – both before the marriage and after.

Steve has served as the primary caregiver for the three children who each have their own traumas as a result of Jessie’s lack of mothering and blatantly negative behaviors. Steve has struggled for twelve years in the marriage, committed by guilt and his fear that the children would be hurt further by a custody battle with Jess.

Kristina is a counselor at the college where Steve works. She is quiet and reserved and hides her beauty. She fell in love with Steve the first time they bumped into each other six years ago. She knows that Steve is in a terrible marriage but she is willing to be there and be his friend as she doesn’t dare dream there can be anything else. But when he finally seeks some friendship with her and they spend time together, the sexual pull and energy becomes palpable.

This book presents the trauma of a family, including young children, when the mother is an irresponsible drug addict. It isn’t a pretty picture but rather heartrendingly realistic and sad. I liked that Ms. Wiesner presented real emotions in the characters without creating a soap opera overload. I especially appreciated Steve’s commitment to his children and to his marriage vows in spite of Jessie’s behavior. He honored both the institution of marriage and Kristina by his actions. I also liked Kristina’s attitude that sought the positive in the situations around her and allowed for hope to grow and flourish. Steve deserved a wonderful, caring woman like Kristina! Ms. Wiesner has woven another wonderfully emotional and beautiful romance.

Newspaper reporter, Cali Stevens, boldly walks into Sheriff Nick Justice’s office, with one goal in mind: To find her best friend who disappeared while vacationing. When the no-nonsense sheriff refuses to give her details of the investigation, Cali takes matters into her own hands and starts her own investigation. She never intends to fall for the sheriff…or into the clutches of the Coral Isle’s first serial kidnapper.

Coral Isle’s recent abductions give Nick Justice enough to worry about without adding any complications into the mix, and his attraction to Cali Stevens is definitely a complication. When Nick encourages Cali to leave the island, she refuses. Now he must manage to find the missing women while keeping Cali and the rest of the women on Coral Isle safe.

This is a very entertaining inspirational romantic suspense! Very enjoyable!

Cali is a gal who wants to be in control of her life and what happens around her. She seriously needs to learn the lesson that we cannot always control circumstances and certainly cannot control actions of others!

Sheriff Nick Justice is handsome, kind, dependable and firm. Unfortunately he realizes he is going to have a hard time keeping the determined Cali from butting into the investigation! She keeps demanding that he find her friend even though he assures her that he and his men are doing everything possible.

The interaction between Cali and Nick starts as antagonism and annoyance. As Cali makes inquiries on her own, she senses bad vibes with several local men although she has no clue as to who the kidnapper might be. When someone breaks into Cali’s motel room, Nick becomes the protector and Cali begins to feel calm and protected with him and begins to be willing to trust.

Ms. Davy has created a good mystery by adding enough red herrings to keep the reader guessing! The rising personal awareness between Nick and Cali enhances the tension of the story! For added excitement, in addition to trying to stay one step ahead of the kidnapper, Nick and Cali get to face the dangers of a hurricane! Having been through a couple of hurricanes I think the descriptions are pretty accurate. I just don’t think people would be out in the crashing storm as much as they seemed to be in the story. But that didn’t detract from my enjoying the book.

I like how Ms. Davy focuses on one fundamental lesson rather than diverging into several. Throughout Cali’s efforts and struggles Nick has to gently but consistently remind her that God is the one in control of our lives and she has to learn to trust Him in all things. It is done as a natural extension of Nick’s character and not at all preachy. This is a good romantic suspense that I think anyone would enjoy as a very satisfying read!

Tegan Ellis storms the Hudson River mansion of negligent mine owner Sean Griffith intent on nobly sacrificing herself for her mining reform cause. Her mission to allow the despicable Robber Baron to ruin her during a decadent orgy and then blackmail him into making much needed mine improvements goes hopelessly awry, however, when her adversary shows her his scandalous erotic art collection. One glimpse at a painted mural depicting naked and writhing bodies and the romantic eighteen-year old virgin is overcome with lust.

And inspiration.

Throwing caution to the winds, she tosses her legs in the air.

The despicable Robber Baron never stands a chance. Not only is he unable to defend his dubious honor, he is ravished on the spot. On several spots, to be exact.

When Sean finds out Tegan meant to use him, he extracts a carnal revenge from the duplicitous mining reformer.

And a naughty boudoir romp begins.

I’ll admit that I was surprised at Lilac. The book at first didn’t meet my preconceptions. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing – rather the first half of the book had me rolling on the floor laughing. Then the tone changed and it was tragically sad. Ms. Trent took me on a hot, spicy and emotional ride. Tegan and Sean were both real people with their past firmly controlling their actions. I really enjoyed Lilac. Lilac is not for the faint of heart either – the issues of the characters do on occasion take them down dark sexual routes. While historical, this isn’t your mother’s romance novel – it’s an emotional ride. I highly recommend Lilac for those who enjoy something a little more than vanilla and want good strongly written characters. I look forward to reading more by Ms. Trent.

Gypsy had been judged and looked down on ever since her mother's murder and now she wants a life of her own, somewhere she can call home. Finding herself lost and trespassing on McCassey property, she meets the infamous Rebel McCassey. Gypsy is a fiesty, intelligent woman who knows what she wants and from where she's standing, it's Rebel McCassey that she wants. He's all about bailing out his brothers and cousins but will take care of what needs to be taken care of no matter what. The relationship between Rebel and Gypsy was electrifying. Trying not to give away any of the story (trust me when I say you want to read the entire book as fast as you possibly can) the bond that Rebel and Gypsy form and the steps he will go to to keep Gypsy safe will make you curl your toes. The action in this book is simply thrilling.

The Devil’s Candy: Behind Angel Shelby’s dancing eyes and mischievous smile, lie the razor sharp tongue and fearless attitude that have helped her conceal painful secrets. However, they aren’t enough to save her this time—as she’s issued a shocking ultimatum.
Nicknamed, The Devil, Blackie McCassey’s violent past keeps most people exactly where he likes them…at a distance. Sacrificing his freedom to repay an old debt, he agrees to marry Angel in name only, watch over her, and play peacemaker in the uncivilized bar she runs.

When a murder occurs, Blackie’s forced to face his past one last time, risking his life to put an end to the chaos disrupting their lives. Unfortunately, victory comes at a price
Review
Angel Shelby is a force to be reckoned with so it only makes sense that the one McCassey that can capture her heart is the biggest, baddest and most volatile McCassey yet! To everyone else, Blackie McCassey is about as intimidating as they come but to Angel, he's just her big brothers buddy, the guy she grew up with. She is in no way scared of him and will pull a gun on him in a heartbeat. Blackie and Angel make the perfect "imperfect" couple. Blackie is fiercely protective of Angel to a point Angel sometimes feels smothered but he's protective for good reason. Angel keeps Blackie on his toes and I was so amused to see how one woman could be the undoing of Blackie McCassey. Loyalty is a McCassey trait and the fact that Blackie will do anything it takes to protect Angel really endeared me to him. He is one of the most edgy hero's in a book that I have ever read and I so love to read about the bad boy gone "almost" good!

Dusty Rose: Dusty Zamora and her close-knit sisters were young—but far from innocent—when they abruptly left Hagerstown, Maryland ten years ago. Now, Dusty has returned. Alone.
Judd McCassey spent most of his thirty-six years side-by-side with his brothers and cousins…on the wrong side of the law. His one regret…being powerless to help the only woman he ever loved when she needed it most. Judd knows they’re headed for trouble when Dusty rides back into his life on a stolen outlaw biker’s motorcycle, and is shocked when she refuses his help.
Finally realizing that hiding her deadly secrets are harming—not helping—the man she loves, Dusty opens up to Judd, dropping a bombshell that sends him reeling, and her fleeing.
Not until Dusty vanishes does Judd discover her deception was well-intended. Now, he must find her before it’s too late for all of them…
Review
Dusty and Judd's story touched me the most I think. Theirs was a story of first love, true love and a love that would not be denied. Given a second chance, Dusty and Judd have a chance to recapture the past and build a solid future but can the two of them stay alive along enough to do it? Dusty was always with her sisters so when she shows up at the garage alone one day, Judd knows something is up, something very, very bad. Watching Judd and Dusty get reacquainted was a thrill in itself. The action, suspense, mystery and deception (albeit for a good reason) made this a fast paced and captivating read. The ending was PERFECT! I found myself holding my breath and hated the story to end.

I am in awe of Ms. Sharman's work and have now read the entire series - so far - and I must tell you that if action is what you seek, look no further. The writing flows smoothly and the believable characters will draw you in to their world. By the end of the story, you actually feel like one of the family, and you have gone to hell and back with them. Every McCassey will take you on a much needed thrill ride with their own stories of misunderstanding, passion and a lot of testosterone. Ms. Sharman writes about characters who are less than perfect, they don't miraculously turn perfect by the end of the book, which so many romance suspense books do. They stay edgy, imperfect but do find the loves of their lives (along with some little extras). I highly recommend this book to lovers of romantic suspense. These books definitely have the action you are looking for. This author is outstanding and I love the way her mind works. Ms. Sharman knows what the reader wants and delivers nothing short of a breathtaking read. Any further book I see from this author is an automatic add!

Review:
Wow talk about a story that has some action! Awakening Allaire is one of the best books that I have read in a long time. Romantic suspense is one of my favorite genres and everything from the characters to the bold plot line captivated me. The relationship between Devon and Allaire touched my heart. True, Allaire wasn't exactly keeping her vows when she slept with Devon but this is, after all, a suspense filled thriller. The consequences following their decision to sleep together had my jaw dropping more times than I care to admit to. A person cannot help but fall in love with Devon. He was gorgeous, English, a millionaire and had a passion for Allaire that was beyond compare. Allaire was a strong woman who fell for Devon almost from the first moment they met. Two beautiful babies and a whole lot of misfortune results in a decision both Devon and Allaire made in the beginning. Fast forward to the kidnapping and you would see me holding my breath and turning pages just as fast as I possibly could. The conditions in which Allaire was subjected to had my mind reeling. When the kidnapper cut her hair I was almost in tears, simply for the way Allaire reacted. The description of how she looked, smelled and behaved was brilliant. As I sat back and watched Devon's reactions throughout the book, I could not have fallen more in love with a character than I did with Devon's. The intense love he felt for Allaire and his children touched my heart. The relationship between Devon, Allaire, Kai and Katy sparkled with wit and humor and the antics of the children made me laugh out loud. There was nothing Devon would not do to protect his family. You will find so many instances in the book where you are yanked from a sense of a loving or humorous moment to a terrified one and to me, this makes an magnificent read.

Ms. Church knows just how to write a fast paced, thrilling and sexually enticing read. I must say that even if you took the sexual part out of the book, Awakening Allaire can definitely stand alone on the thrill aspect alone. Where most romantic suspense books center around the sexual aspect of the romance first and the mystery/suspense is built around it, this book defies the norm and it is so refreshing to see that. Devon and Allaire's sexual relationship is secondary to the story and I wouldn't want to read this book any other way. Awakening Allaire is written with the perfect balance of romance and suspense without going overboard on either one. Their are so many layers to this book and so many potential suspects, you honestly won't be ready for all of the surprises throughout the book.

I highly recommend Awakening Allaire to anyone who is a fan of thriller type books. Ms. Church writes an extremely well thought out plot with imagery that is that will take your breath away. She has the ability to capture the readers attention and draw you into the story. This was honestly a brilliant piece of work that I was sad to see end. I look forward to the sequel to Awakening Allaire which is called Avenging Allaire. Ms. Church is most certainly an author to watch and has been added to my favorite authors list.

With dark forces closing in, Sandor must keep Lena from digging deeper and exposing the existence of the Kyth. The only way is to convince her of his innocence. But how can he, when he can't keep his hands off her?

When Ms. Morgan started her new Talion series, I was worried but enjoyed Dark Warrior Unleashed. I had a love/hate relationship with the character Sandor. I wasn’t sure I’d like him as the hero of a book – I admit it – I was wrong! Sandor Kearn had a lot more depth in him than I gave him credit for.

Bones is as sexy as ever but for the first time the reader sees his temper – which for this reader endeared him to me even more. The full cast makes an appearance. On midsummer's night, on her way home from a beach party, Maddie stumbles into a strange, new, world, rich with exotic flowers and tall forests. It is ruled by Oberon and Puck, two of the most beautiful, passionate men she has ever seen.

The air sizzles with the strength of their three-way physical encounters. But Oberon is determined to resist any emotional commitment to Maddie. His kingdom is dying, betrayed by a mortal, and he cannot forget or forgive.

Maddie has just three days to convince Oberon and Puck to trust her. Together they can unite to find a way to save the realm and its inhabitants. Maddie must prove the love of a mortal can heal as well as destroy.

Well, Shakespeare probably rolled over in his grave at this one.

That said, this is a fun story and an interesting take on Oberon and Puck. The pair complement each other without being excessively different. Puck is softer, sweeter, and more easily accepting. Oberon is brooding and a little bitter. The sex in this story is fairly steamy, especially when it turns into three-ways.

Overall this is a good story, that is both silly and a bit sad. I recommend it for anyone looking a steamy evening escape.

A horrible death, an even bigger mistake by the gods of Ancient Egypt, a modern day woman is trapped in a life not her own, but even in death beginnings can happen.

The blurb doesn't really give you enough information to let you know what a great story Jennifer has told. Women who are in or have escaped an abusive relationship will understand and take this story to heart. Victoria and Mayati have switched bodies for whatever reason. One of them is getting a second chance not only at life but love as well. There are two heroes in this story, one is the man who takes the time to understand his new wife. Second is for his new wife to have the opportunity to make her own choices. I can't say who is who because that will give away too much of this incredible story of survival. You need to take your time and read this heartfelt account of second chances.

Brady may be the man to steer Samantha towards a fulfilling career, all the while facing her fears… and his fantasies.

I just love the whole premise of this story. The dare to do something outside of your comfort zone. I think that sets up so much for a story. What happens next? The one dance dare in a strip club. While Samantha is not the pole dancer, she ends up getting the guy. Lisa Perry did a great job writing a short story and incorporating a good plot and some hot bedroom scenes. Samantha ends up with an interesting but good job change at the end, and I was surprised by it.

It's packed full with thrills, suspense, and romance.

This not a slow building story. It is fast paced with a lot of action. The two main characters, Stephanie and James, are thrown together rather quickly and have a few issues they need to solve immediately. Surprisingly the issues are not of a personal nature between them, but on a much larger scale of the United States experiencing another 9/11. Even though the story unfolds at a rapid rate, it was extremely entertaining. I would love to see what this author, Betty Ann Harris, could do with a little bit of a slower storyline. If you have a couple of free hours, pick up this story. You will not be disappointed.

The last souvenir small-town girl Gretchen expected from her Chicago vacation was getting pregnant from one night of delight. The sexy, successful CEO she hooked up with told her he wasn't interested in a family, so she never revealed what had happened.

Five years later, Daniel is at the top of his game in both business and womanizing, but he's shaken off his pedestal when a friend hints that he might have a daughter. Daniel heads for the boondocks to uncover the hidden truth—and pick up where he and Gretchen left off. But his fast-paced lifestyle can't compete with Gretchen's idea of a hometown father and husband. When Daniel's career beckons him back to Chicago, he's faced with the decision of his life—go back to his wild bachelor ways or surrender to his sensual desires and stay and build a family.

The Daddy Issue is such a sweet yet sensual read that really kept my attention right from the beginning. Daniel's character was a real go getter and ladies man. When he sees a picture that looks a lot like himself, he decides to pay a visit to Gretchen, a woman that he dated almost five years earlier. Gretchen's character was strong willed and determined not to let her defenses down for anyone. Amy, Gretchen's daughter was such a sweet little girl. I fell in love with her the moment her character was introduced. When you take a small town and throw in lust, loyalty and a lot of indecision, you end up with a very interesting story. Wally's character made me laugh so hard at the way he approached life and his attitude in general. I was very intrigued at how both Daniel and Gretchen dealt with real life issues and emotions and the end of the book was amazing!

This is the first book that I have ever read by Ms. Beck and I will surely be looking into more of her work. She blends very believable characters with a well written plot laces with wit and humor. I can see this story line happening in real life which appealed to me all that much more. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a strong plot line with some adorable kids thrown in. This is a must read, don't miss it!

When prison inmates begin dying in shocking and sometimes gruesome ways, warden Jensen Black decides to bring in sexy parapsychologist Brian Phipps to investigate. Getting to the bottom of what's killing the men for whom he's responsible is the plan. Falling for the lamb of a man with the heart of lion isn't on the agenda, but his heart has a mind of its own.

The attraction between the two men is instantaneous, but before they can fully explore the depths of their passion the ghosts set their sights on Brian. And as their relationship heats up, the danger escalates, leaving both men to wonder if they’ll ever make it off Alcatraz alive. Let alone, together.

As an avid viewer of the show Ghost Hunters, I was absolutely delighted to dive into this book. I was not disappointed in any way, shape or form. The plot surrounded a well-known prison in the future so that the acceptability of gay couples was more common. The main characters are such polar opposites that when they do come together romantically, the reader is not surprised but intrigued by the attraction. The ghost scenes are so well-described that I found myself covered in gooseflesh. Any reader will appreciate the twists and turns in Jensen and Brian's relationship all in the quest to banish the ghosts. The ending leads me to believe there will be another story written with these characters. If not, maybe Ms. Lynne will consider it. If so, I am waiting with bated breath.

This book takes the paranormal world and incorporates intrigue and mysticism and romance and blows the reader away with the sensation of the unknown. Every character adds another layer to the drama which becomes blended into the prior layer and so on and so on. This is quite a delectable tale told in such fantastic dialogue and in such fascinating locales as Italy and Morocco. The author either did an incredible amount of research or spent an inordinate amount of time in these places to have used such intrinsic detail about all the cities and countries throughout the story. I loved reading this story and hope to read more about these mysterious characters.

Who knew you could find the love of your life at the wedding from hell ....

Konigsburg, Book 2

Janie Dupree will do anything to make sure her best friend has the wedding of her dreams, even if it means relinquishing what every bridesmaid covets and never gets - the perfect maid-of-honor dress. Problem is, family drama as tangles as a clump of Texas prickly pear cactus threatens to send the skittish bride hopping aboard the elopement express.

Janie could use a hand, but the best man's "help" is only making things worse.

Pete Toleffson just wants to get through his brother's wedding and back to his county attorney job in Des Moines. He never expected to be the engineer on a wedding train that's derailing straight toward hell. Janie's the kind of girl he'd like to get close to - but her self-induced role as "Miss Fix-It" is as infuriating as it is adorable.

If they can just fend off meddling parents, vindictive in-laws, spiteful ex-boyfriends, and a greyhound named Olive long enough to achieve matrimonial liftoff, maybe they can admit they're head-over-heels in love.

First off, let me just say, this was seriously one of the weddings from hell. Think Murphy's Law plus family drama and you have a near explosion! This book was so funny and the sexual tension, amazing. Janie's character was so much fun to read about. If they had classes in being a witch, she seriously needed to take them. She was a fixer, someone you could rely on to put her own feelings aside to help others. Pete, he was so sexy and adorable. His character was a take charge kind of guy with a seriously funny side to him that he didn't even have to try to work toward. The building relationship between Janie and Pete was scorching hot and absolutely sizzled. For Pete and Janie, love came calling when they least expected it.

Wedding Bell Blues was a laugh out loud funny read with very believable, dramatic characters. I found myself not able to turn the pages fast enough to find out what happened next. It was truly a fascinating and engaging read and I want more. I am so thankful that this is only book 2 in the series and I can look forward to more writing that sparkles with wit and humor.

I have never read any of Ms. Benjamin's work before and found it to be very well written and highly entertaining. The style with which Ms. Benjamin writes is very relatable and intriguing. She definitely writes with the reader in mind and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I will certainly be reading book 1 - Venus in Blue Jeans as soon as possible and any further books in the series will be an automatic add for me. This is a family that I easily fell in love with about and I hope there are many more books to come. I consider Ms. Benjamin's work to be an automatic add to my to be read list. I strongly recommend you pick up this book as it has everything - humor, drama, mystery and a whole lot of sexual tension!

Karen Rose delivers her latest pulse-pounding suspense novel, where the line between the virtual world and everyday reality blurs when it comes to murder.

Eve Wilson's face was once scarred by a vicious assault. Terrified and ashamed, she escaped to the online realm, where she could choose the face she allowed people to see. Years later, her outer scars faded and inner scars buried, Eve has fought her way back to the real world and is determined to help others do the same. Now a graduate student moonlighting as a bartender, Eve researches the addictive powers of online communities. When her test subjects begin turning up dead as a result of apparent suicides, she doesn't know where to turn.

Homicide detective Noah Webster is one of the few people who believe the victims are connected murders. Eve becomes Noah's online guide and realizes that the handsome detective may have secret scars as painful as her own. As Eve and Noah chase a killer who is always one step ahead of them, together they try to overcome the tragedies of their pasts and learn to trust again, but they soon discover that danger is much closer than they think.

What do you say about a book that has everything you want in a romantic suspense? First, it keeps you entertained from beginning to end. The pace of the book keeps you turning the pages and trying to figure out who the killer is to the last chapter. The two main characters, Eve and Noah, will have you rooting for them from the beginning. Even though, they have both been through some horrible incidents in their past. They seem to find a common connection that will have you envying their relationship. There are several secondary characters that will leave you wondering if the author is going to write their story next. Which you will definitely want. This author knows how to make the plot and the dialogue seem effortless. You not only can see what is happening to the characters, but you can actually feel it as well. I just wish I could write as eloquently as Karen Rose in order to do this review justice. You will definitely be adding her to your to buy list. I know I have. Come join their adventure as both Amanda and Tracy learn that God's plans are far better than their own. (Jeremiah 29:11)

Teacher’s Plans is a charming story, a truly griping one that holds your attention with characters that inspire trust and cause the reader to feel empathy for them. While Tracy is eminently likable, we feel his conflict over hiding his identity from Amanda and their struggles to overcome the feelings of betrayal when all is revealed. I liked the author’s extensive use of Bible verse throughout the book; she manages to quote them in appropriate places to illustrate her point rather than as just a means of simply inserting scripture into the book randomly. This technique makes Teacher’s Plans truly inspirational, rather than merely G-rated romance fiction.

There are any numbers of secondary characters scattered throughout this book that could also be suitable candidates for their own stories, including some who help to add a little humor to the story. The grade school students also become an additional character with their own personality, separate from the individuals in the class itself. The story takes place over the school year, so we are able to actually see the growth of each character during that time period, both mental and spiritual, and to see how each person wrestles with their conscience and moral development. It is wonderful when you can read a book and find enjoyment in it and uncover life lessons as well. Teacher’s Plans is that book, one that can entertain and guide at the same time, certainly the best of both worlds.

On top of all that she is being left strange messages on cards, which tell her, the Jade Monkey has chosen her.

As well as training, Jade searches for clues concerning the missing parrots and discovers cryptic clues left by her grandfathers former teacher. Through in a couple of competing love interests and Jade’s world is on a roller coaster ride.

I absolutely loved this book. This is a Young Adult story full of kung fu and Chinese traditions. Imagine a mixture of Karate Kid and Disney’s Wendy Woo but with more wit and kick and you will arrive at this book.

The story is so entertaining from the very beginning, full of description, well written characters, lots of action and a little bit of romantic tension.

You watch Jade change from a shy girl who likes to go unnoticed, to a strong, confidant It girl. Jade is a white girl living with a Chinese mum, which causes her endless complications and misconceptions by others and she handles it well. Her two friends are interesting characters, each with their own uniqueness. Alex, desperate to live the kung fu Asian life, becomes astounded by Jade’s abilities as the book progresses.

I would definitely recommend this book; there wasn’t a single thing I didn’t enjoy about it. It is definitely one of the best and most original Young Adult books I have read this year.

Before losing her sight to diabetic retinopathy, Sharon was a legal secretary with a passion for painting. Devastated when she could no longer paint, she turned to writing as her creative outlet. And a new dream resurrected. Today, instead of painting her pictures on canvas, Sharon paints her pictures with words.

Echo of a Raven is a heartwarming read that educates the reader as well as giving the reader a small glimpse into the life of someone with diabetes. The hopelessness of dealing with something very real seemed overwhelming to me at times. I kept sitting there thinking, "would I be able to be as strong as Sharon?" Dealing with all that she had to, Ms. Donovan shows how much strength and grit she is made of. Echo of a Raven is not just another entertaining read, it is about real emotions of fear, denial, anger and acceptance. Ms. Donovan paints a portrait of just how all consuming this disease really is. There are so many questions to be asked about diabetes and not nearly enough answers. Just what do you do in a situation like this when your health is out of your control no matter how much you take care of yourself?

Echo of a Raven made me really take a look at a lot of the everyday things we take for granted. The sunset, taking a walk without stumbling, the faces of the ones we love, I would not know how to deal with not being able to see these things. When I finished reading Echo of a Raven, for the first time in a long time, I took a look around me and wondered, what if I woke up one day and it was all gone? Throughout the book, I was given a glimpse into the lives of those who have lost or are losing their sight and how society as a whole treats them. I never realized how differently people are treated until I read this book. Everything in life happens for a reason, of that I am sure and I believe Echo of a Raven is one of those books that was meant to be out in the world to comfort others as well as to educate them. We all think bad things will happen to others and not us. Echo of a Raven is a special book to me as my aunt is going through this very thing with her diabetes. I do plan on buying her a copy of this book to show her, your life does not have to end, you can make a very big difference in the world simply by telling your story and educating others. Ms. Donovan has suffered at the hands of diabetes and has conquered her fears and trials and come out on the other end a stronger, more compassionate person with the intent of educating you and I. For this alone, she gets my total respect and admiration.

This book is not all serious in nature. I was touched by the wit and humor that was displayed through the book. Ms. Donovan has approached a very serious subject with grace, wit and humor. One of my favorite parts of the books was when they were serving spaghetti and meatballs. Just the way the cowboy reacted, oh my gosh, I was rolling. I highly recommend this book to anyone! Not just those with an illness or a family member or close friend going through this but to everyone who needs to be educated on such a condition that takes a hold of you and won't let go. I was thankful for the information in the back of the book directing places to go to get more information. Echo of a Raven gets two thumbs up from me and I feel is definitely worth it's weight in gold.

The Aequitas, part angel and demon, have kept the balance between the forces of good and evil -- until now.

When Etienne Grant is kidnapped and transformed into an Aequitas, marriage to Auria is the only thing that will save his soul.

Auria is a beautiful but efficient Aequitas, a General who wants nothing to do with love. A former lover has plans to prevent any hope of happiness with her new husband, and after murdering his own best friend and forcing Auria to join his rebellion, the balance between good and evil spirals out of control.

Can Etienne's tenderness melt Auria's cold heart and heal the pain of their secret pasts? Their very survival depends on it.

While the idea of there being entities that are part angel and part demon stretch the limits of the imagination, the world created by Ms. Mason is indeed credible. She paints the characters with wide but deliberate strokes that capture the reader's attention. The different worlds are varied and are beautifully delineated. I was intrigued by the relationship between Auria and Etienne. Their beginning was auspicious, and the end of the book leaves the reader panting for more. The emotions displayed by these two main characters are unique in that they run the gamut from one end of the spectrum to the other and back again. However, the reason for the back and forth motion is not one that I have ever run across before. Fascinating! There are so many paths that their story can take that I am left more than eager to see where the twists and turns that are bound to appear will take me. I absolutely loved every single page of this book.

Meet Nyx. This half-human, half-Drow private eye investigates paranormal crimes by day and is an elite Tracker of demons by night. She prefers working solo—and playing rough. So when a terrifying force starts murdering innocent humans and paranorms, and leaving strange demonic symbols burned into their buildings, it's a case Nyx takes very personally...

Meanwhile, Nyx's fellow Trackers are being killed one by one—and a sexy new Tracker named Torin is shadowing her every move. Torin has powers Nyx can't read, and sometimes she wonders whose si de he's on. Nyx's instincts tell her something's brewing in the city's meanest supernatural streets, and that it's ready to unleash hell on Earth. Who can she trust? Now it's five minutes to permanent midnight...and Nyx's last chance means risking everything—even her own life.

Generally, Cheyenne McCray writes inventive, imaginative books with fun characters and plenty of action, Demons Not Included is no exception. While I enjoyed this book, I must confess it did take me some pages before I could completely immerse myself in it however, as I was a bit confused at the beginning - it seemed to drop the reader into the story without any background information. Being fairly quick-witted I grasped the particulars of the storyline after several pages, so when more characters were introduced, they merged into the storyline with relative ease. There is a glossary of terms at the beginning, some may find this helpful, I did not as much as I would have liked.

Overall, the book itself is still a pretty good read! The battle scenes are frequent, filled with danger, and the requisite thrills and chills – I was not disappointed and I believe most readers will feel the same. Nyx’s constant internal battle over which male she should have in her life is extremely entertaining, especially when the two males decide to join in that battle, making her the rope in figurative game of tug of war. Added to Ms. McCray’s main characters is an extensive cast of secondary characters, some of whom are just fascinating enough to warrant having their own books somewhere down the line. Ultimately, the conflict is between good and evil, some beings are still wicked, and the outcome is ever in doubt until the very end, just the way it should be. My advice, read the book to find out what happens; you won’t be disappointed.

For any unfortunate who has never had the pleasure of reading a Sasha White book in the past, this is your perfect opportunity to try a sample of her work with three short stories and see what the fuss is all about. A little warning for the uninitiated however; she can be deep, definitely a little dirty, and without a doubt extremely entertaining. These three stories are typical examples of her writing, a combination of action and heat almost leaping off the page. No one who has read a Sasha White book will be able to resist this book, and not just because these stories are related to others in her repertoire.

These installments are so good new readers will love them as well. The characters are strong-willed, multi dimensional and very personable. You have to love a heroine as strong as her hero, and an alpha male not afraid to match wills with an equally dominant female. These couples find interesting situations rich in magic, turmoil, danger, incredible passion and just plain trouble. Ms. White seems to have a little too much fun writing her stories and finding ways to both get her characters into tight spots and then manage to either find their way out of them, or revel in their “predicament.” I truly enjoyed this book, and look forward to whatever comes next.20

Artist Heidi Gibson is spending the summer up in Anchorage doing some painting when she gets attacked by a crazed wolf. She20is rescued by golden-eyed wildlife biologist Luke McCall, who calmly informs she has been bitten by a werewolf and will turn into one during the next full moon. Thinking he’s obviously out of his mind, she can’t get away from him fast enough.
When strange things start happening to her, however, she begins to think the ruggedly handsome biologist could be right. Not knowing what else to do, she goes to Luke and is stunned to discover that he knows so much about werewolves because he’s one himself.

As Luke teaches her what she needs to know about being a werewolf, Heidi finds herself falling hard for the Alaskan hunk. But while they’re intent on each other, the werewolf that attacked her comes back into the picture, and he’s not exactly happy that another of his kind is trying to take the woman he believes is his rightful mate.

Can Luke and Heidi's attraction overpower the jealousy of the rogue werewolf?

Any fan of Paige Tyler’s work will recognize the Men of Alaska series and remembering that Luke McCall is the twin to the same Hunter McCall from Animal Attraction, expect an equally good story – I know I did. Fortunately, I was not disappointed. Just as Luke and Hunter are not identical twins, Animal Instinct is not precisely a sequel: there are differences between the two stories that are not limited to just location and main characters, which means that reading one story is not required to read the other. Ms. Tyler knows how to fully develop her characters, adding personality, charm, depth and quirkiness to their personas to instill that certain something that makes them memorable even after the last page in the book has been closed. Luke and Heidi are definitely two of those interesting and diverse characters. After reading this book we discover that there are several secondary characters in Animal Instinct that stay with the reader as well.

There are many elements of this book that set it apart from the typical paranormal story. Ms. Tyler seems to have a fondness for the State of Alaska and it figures prominently in these two stories, almost as a separate character in and of itself. The wildness of the state, its wilderness and open spaces are very important to both stories, and the author shows loving attention to detail in describing its beautiful vistas. One of the issues Luke is trying to help Heidi adjust to is her new werewolf status, so how the McCall brothers embrace their nature is important too, especially as it relates to other weres. Naturally, Ms. Tyler pays particular attention to were relations, and interactions with other nonweres too. Descriptions of these relationships/interactions are very detailed and colorful, with fight scenes and love scenes each sharing center stage. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good paranormal or romance novel.
