Kennedy Drake loves exploring dark places, which makes his job as a graveyard shift security guard ideal. While checking out strange noises in his elderly neighbor’s basement, he discovers a hidden room with a woman trapped inside. Chastity Mooreland has more to fear than her time trapped in darkness. Will Kennedy believe her bizarre tale of a stalker no one thinks is guilty—and will he help free her from a life of despair? Can Chastity look past her suspicion of mankind to accept his offer of friendship?

While checking out a 'bump in the night' noise in his elderly neighbor's basement, Kennedy Drake finds Chastity Mooreland trapped in a secret chamber. Not entirely convinced she isn't a thief, he is reluctant to believe her story of an exboyfriend having her threatened and chased into the cave. When her story checks out, he decides to help gather evidence against her stalker.

I found Light in the Darkness a short sweet story. Kennedy's willingness to help a stranger and affection and protectiveness for his neighbor Louise was refreshing. Chastity's nightmare of a stalker was compounded by her ex being a police officer. The situation made me wonder how many other women have this same problem and are injured or killed by their boyfriends in blue, because the legal system looked the other way. Something to think about and a great story!

Renolds Osirus spent most of his life as an accountant. To his shock, his life-long dream of becoming a spaceship captain is suddenly granted, and before he can even celebrate, Earth is decimated by a race of mysterious and terrifying aliens. His new ship, the Vigilant, is transported to hostile territory.

The Vigilant’s first officer, Marcus Collingway, is a terrorist leader and a mass murderer. Long believed dead, he suffers the crew's wrath when he's blamed for the attack on Earth. As Renolds investigates, he exposes a complex web of secrets and lies.

Now trapped on a crippled ship, can the captain and first officer work together to save the Vigilant from alien Soulites?

Anyone who was petrified watching The Event Horizon a few years ago will appreciate author Natasha Bennet’s vision in The War of the Soulites. She succeeds in capturing some of that horrid claustrophobia brought on by the knowledge that you’re stuck on a damaged space ship travelling through hostile, unfamiliar territory…

The Vigilant is a ship with a dark history and Captain Renolds Osirus has little idea what he’s getting himself into when he takes the helm. A loyal supporter of NAVA—the organisation in control of Earth—he’s about to have all his preconceptions of right and wrong challenged.

Marcus Collingway carries a terrible secret. A good few years ago he played a pivotal role in a rebellion against NAVA’s autocracy and was responsible for killing thousands of people. Now he’s a NAVA man, mysteriously placed in a leadership position upon the Vigilant.

Elizabeth is a telepath—a member of a group of humans who are oft reviled even though their abilities make them a vital component within this mission. She is faced with some difficult choices when things go pear-shaped for the crew of the Vigilant.

In a nutshell, the Vigilant has been refitted and, for some bizarre reason, populated with one of the most dysfunctional crews in NAVA’s history. Just about everyone on board has some sort of dark secret and personal agenda, so it’s only a matter of time before the cracks start showing, leading to some explosive encounters.

Added to this is the additional trouble with the Soulites, a mysterious race of aliens, and they’re anything but friendly when they make an attempt at wiping out Earth and the entire human race. The Vigilant gets caught in the wake of one of the Soulite ships and is dragged into Soulite territory and it’s up to Renolds to keep his crew from murdering each other and find out the secret behind the Soulites so that he can somehow get everyone back home.

Overall, the author succeeds in building up enough tension for me to keep turning the pages while wondering how the hell the characters were going to get out of their assorted predicaments. At times I did feel that she hopped around a bit with the large cast of characters, which did make the story feel a bit diffused, but overall she kept the pace. The Soulites were a very different take on the usual alien cultures encountered in science fiction, reminiscent of Star Trek’s Borg but infinitely creepier. Natasha has put a lot of thought into creating her universe and I look forward to reading more of her offerings.

Contemporary erotic romance has turned into one of my favorite genres to read especially the short stories. The authors like KyAnn Waters know how to put a lot of emotion both physical and heart felt into their writing.

This story deals with a corporate romance between colleagues. It is fun to read how each of them want to deal with the situation. This is an entertaining and quick read.

For some people reading a contemporary BDSM erotic romance, would send them into heart failure. I wish more people would be willing to give this type of writing a chance. I understand some people are not accustomed to reading about sex. However reading this short story, you will see it is not just about the sex.

It is about trusting someone with what is precious to you and that is yourself. Being willing to open yourself up to all types of fantasies without fear of being labeled. For me, this story was about accepting oneself regardless of what other people think.

If you are wanting to open yourself up to a new and hot genre, please give this story a chance. I enjoyed reading this author, Eliza Gayles' work and hope to read more in the future.

He was the Dragon of Normandy. She was the Rose of Flanders. They met in the North of England and together they changed the course of hearts and history. Sir Branoc Valtaigne, ordered to Northumbria by King William II, fights to keep peace along the Scottish border. He is a formidable battle-tested warrior, but as he honors his vows to God, king, and country--a young woman’s smile proves to be his undoing. Martanzia Verheire, tricked into standing as good faith hostage for Flanders, seeks freedom from castle Bamburgh and love from Sir Branoc. As she clings to the Celtic dragon statue given to her by her mother, she leads them all to the brink of an era where true magic will be gone forever but where dreams can still come true.

This is a good story that could use a bit of editing. It really could have been done in about half the pages and turned out just as well.

The characters in this story are fun and very believable. Each has their own set of personality traits and motivations which are shown in their actions, dialogue, and thoughts. It makes then easy to understand and relate to.

Overall, though the story is on the purple side, the story is good and the characters realistic.

The tables suddenly turned on Detective Jake Summers’ surveillance job and now two drug dealers want him and the video that would put them behind bars. With fate forcing them to work together, can these two passionate strangers stay focused on the situation, and not on each other, long enough to ensure their safety…and their future?

One of things I like most about reviewing books is getting to read some wonderful short stories. This is one of my favorite. Not only are the characters strong and sexy. The plot is quick and to the point.

I would like to see this author, Tess Thieler, write a longer story. If you need a break from your daily routine, this will put a smile on your face.

Dunny knew from an early age what it meant to be an outsider. Her special abilities earned her many names, like freak and water witch. So she vowed to keep her powers a secret. But now her talents may be the only hope of two missing children. A young boy and girl have vanished, feared lost in the mysterious bayous of Louisiana. But they didn't just disappear; they were taken. And amid the ghosts and spirits of the swamp, there is a danger worse than any other, one with very special plans for the children -- and for anyone who dares to interfere.

I'm not sure where I should start with explaining about how much I have fallen in love with this book, Water Witch and Deborah LeBlanc's writing/story telling.

This was my first experience with her writing, and I'm having a hard time coming up with the words to do this review justice. You see I have been blown away with not only the plot of the book but the characters as well.

The plot will have you on the edge of your seat and a couple of times I caught myself chewing on my finger nails wondering what was going to happen next. If you are one of those readers who has a movie projector going while reading, I will warn you there were a couple of spots I actually jumped due to the scene she describes.

The characters draw you into their lives and won't let go. One of the characters, Poochie, a grandmother and a main character, will have you laughing and shaking your head at times. What I enjoyed most was hearing Poochie speak with her authentic Louisiana accent. I still can't get that voice out of my head. I could go on and on about all the other characters in this book. I just don't have enough room on the blog to describe and rave about each one.

What I will say is go buy this book!!! I've done reviews where I tell readers you gotta read this book. This is my first time every saying You Gotta Gotta Read this book. I can't wait to read this author's previous work and finding out what she has in store for the future. Thank you Deborah LeBlanc for a story I will never forget.

Brenda Maxwell's new interior design client tells her to "paint, wallpaper, whatever" his hundred-year-old landmark mansion, "but for God's sake, don't go overboard." When she figures her grandiose plans will fit handily into his edict's "whatever" section, she launches them into a constant head-bumping mode.

Brenda's poor money management skills (that's his view, but what does he know?) and lawyer David Hasbrough's ridiculous need to control her life (that's her well-reasoned evaluation of the situation) combine to keep the battle going. Add a dollop of "the other woman's" interference, throw in secrets about the house and both their pasts, fold in a dab of parental abuse and a pinch of good old-fashioned mistrust, and you have a recipe for disaster. Is this couple's romantic goose cooked?
Well, he is a great guy. Headstrong, maybe, but she can't be near him without sparks flying and goose bumps popping out everywhere. Yet—well, that mansion has to be done right!

Although this is characterized as erotic romance I think that is misclassified. I found it to be sweet with some sensual scenes but definitely nothing erotic. It is a very enjoyable contemporary read.

Brenda is a bit of a control freak who does well with her own business so that she does not get controlled by someone else’s dictates. She loves restoring beautiful houses and immediately sees lots of possibilities in David’s mansion if she can just convince him that the house is worth it! She slowly sees lots of potential in David too is she can learn to trust that not all men are controlling and abusive like her stepfather.

David is hiding a secret about the house. He doesn’t want Brenda to know that he will be willing to invest more than basics in rebuilding and refurbishing the mansion. However, his efforts to help her address her money management issues lead to a lot of misunderstanding. Also, his connection with a beautiful, elegant and high powered real estate broker, who has designs on him, adds to the misunderstandings.

The story moves along well and it is fun to watch the interaction between the characters as they try to find common ground. It is not a complex story but an entertaining one. If you like a sweet romance with lots of miscommunication creating trouble, this is a fun read you don’t want to miss.

So she stakes out a spot near her bedroom window, cleverly concealed by curtains, watches, and waits... and discovers a most intriguing man, who is definitely up to something.

Sir Harry Valentine works for the boring branch of the War Office, translating documents vital to national security. He's not a spy, but he's had all the training, and when a gorgeous blonde begins to watch him from her window, he is instantly suspicious. But just when he decides that she's nothing more than a nosy debutante, he discovers that she might be engaged to a foreign prince, who might be plotting against England. And when Harry is roped into spying on Olivia, he discovers that he might be falling for her himself...

Nothing excites me more than a book that starts off with the unexpected, and Julia Quinn would never fail to disappoint her readers in providing that touch of “unexpected.” I am still wondering if I stopped laughing once while reading What Happens in London, and looking back the answer is probably not. Olivia Bevelstoke is one the most outspoken heroines Ms. Quinn has created in quite some time, and having read a number of this author’s books I believe I can say she has been responsible for more than a few unusual heroines. I never knew wha t to expect from Olivia from one minute to the next, and maybe that was the ultimate charm of the character for both this reader and Sir Harry Valentine.

Sir Harry, on the other hand, was also not what I would have expected as a counterpart to the irrepressible Olivia. Perhaps, one would look for a calming influence to off-set her slightly madcap personality, but not in a Julia Quinn book. We are back to Ms. Quinn’s fascination and delight in the unexpected as she keeps her readers guessing, adding subplots, unusual characters and strange plot twists, creating a fantastic book. If you are looking for a few hours of sheer enjoyment, this is the book for you I guarantee you will not regret it!

Photographer Carlie Bowers will be staying on Zakynthos this summer to photograph luxury villas owned by her friend's in-laws. She could definitely use a vacation too, but she doesn't like the idea of being chaperoned around the island by Alex Marinos. She'd already met the handsome bachelor, and they'd parted on a sour note, thanks to his forward manner. Any woman would be drawn to his dark Greek looks and blatant virility, but she had no interest in becoming one of his mistresses. She was ready to find the right man and settle down, so Alex had better keep his hands to himself! Alex Marinos is content with his carefree, bachelor lifestyle and ignores his family's insistence that he settle down with a wife. When he has to play host to his sister-in-law's best friend, he's forced to be the perfect gentleman--and keep his hands off her. Something that goes against his nature where beautiful women are concerned.

Take a handsome Greek man, add an attractive, young American woman, a previous, unacknowledged spark between the two, a romantic island setting and you have the recipe for a charming little romance, at least that is what happens in Celia Jade’s newest book. The Greek Bachelor is very much a relationship story, there are no mysteries, monsters or murders involved to add spice to the story, not that any additional spice is needed for this particular book. The spice comes from the interaction between the two main characters, Carlie and Alex, and they tend to generate quite a bit of heat between the two of them without any extraneous effort.

For a short book, Ms. Jade does an exceptional job of describing the Greek isle and its inhabitants in such great detail if I was planning an imminent vacation, this might be the place for me. She is equally faithful in her attention to detail when it comes to her main characters and their interactions with each other. I loved the scenes between Carlie and Alex, their initial struggles to stay apart from each other and their ultimate struggles to come together. The Greek Bachelor is a very well-written and classic romance, especially in a world where there are sometimes too many genres to choose from. I believe anyone who reads it will not be disappointed

But only when their lives are threatened by an ancient evil will Kara and Lyon realize they have found a love they would risk their immortal souls to claim...and a powerful desire that could never, ever be tamed.

A new series, Desire Untamed offers a fresh and unique approach to the paranormal shape shifter genre. Pamela Palmer’s shifters are by turns exciting and charismatic, sexy and macho, and extremely captivating. By creating such strong and colorful alpha males, the author manages to grab her readers’ attention from the first paragraph and never let it go. Luckily for us, she matches her hero Lyon with an equally entertaining heroine. As we discover, Kara MacAllister is a woman strong enough to withstand this alpha male and emerge changed yet true to herself.

Everything about Desire Untamed makes it a book destined for the keeper shelf: the plot is innovative and different without being too farfetched, the characters dynamic and fun, the pace quick and exciting. I love how Ms. Palmer introduces all of the Feral Warriors in Book One, allowing her readers to begin falling in love with each one in that first book, subtly enthralling her readers, drawing us into her series from the first paragraph. I know I am hooked, I hope you will be too!

That’s provided they all survive and provided Julian can get past her magical abilities. She may be turning into a vampire like him, but that doesn’t mean he can trust her.

With Blood Rite, Trista Ann Michaels has written a very dark yet seductive vampire novel sure to satisfy even the most die-hard paranormal or erotic fan. This novel has all the key elements: magic, blood, sex, ménage play, thrills and chills with a touch of humor thrown in as a bonus. Rich in character development, strong in plot, and filled with plenty of lush love scenes this story contains all the literary components needed to make it a definite fan favorite.

Never having read this particular author before, I was pleasantly surprised at how multi dimensional and well-developed the players are, not your typical literary characters doomed to remain true to typecasting for the entire book. Ms. Michaels’s characters are fluid, able to adapt as the situation warrants, which keeps the reader guessing how the book will develop. She has a gift for fast-paced and witty dialogue that shows true emotion between her characters. There are quite a few surprises in this story, but nothing too outlandish or unrealistic that would keep the reader from believing the basic storyline. A very entertaining book, well worth it’s favorable recommendation.

Trust does not come easily and determined to protect her heart, Elizabeth struggles to resist her own l ongings. At times, their difficulties appear insurmountable but the earl is widely known as ‘The Indomitable’ and the name was not lightly earned.

Hazel Statham is a wonderful example of what a Regency writer could and should be, writing an entertaining and sensitive novel destined for the keeper shelf. From the initial chapter, we are drawn into the characters’ lives, falling in love with strong-willed Elizabeth Granger and her siblings and succumbing to the obvious charm of Maxim Beaufort. Lizzie’s Rake has everything needed to elevate it to that classic status: a superior plot, interesting characters and a strong and witty dialogue.

Here’s my dilemma: I could not decide if I wanted to cheer for Lizzie or strangle her! On the one hand we have Lizzie the determined female trying to survive in a man’s world, and then we have Lizzie constantly questioning her judgment. That puzzlement stayed with me throughout a vast majority of the book, but I liked this feeling. I enjoyed Lizzie’s doubt over Maxim’s motives, and his actions. I enjoyed Maxim’s confusion, anger and obvious frustration over Lizzie’s actions in response to his declaration. Essentially, I just enjoyed the entire book, and I believe others will feel the same way too. My advice is to read the book and find out for yourselves, I believe you will not be disappointed.

A survivor of childhood abuse, Aubrey Woodhaus worked hard to become a success in her own eyes, turning her inherited homestead into a business selling natural products. At forty seven, she’s sad that her chance for real love has passed because of her bad choices in men and an inability to trust anyone. When she meets sexy, smart Jensen Keets, it’s lust at first sight - despite that he’s fifteen years younger than her. One night, against her better judgment, she takes him as her lover. No harm done, right? It’s just sex.

Jensen is struck by Aubrey’s independence and brains, not to mention her beauty and killer curves. It’s not just sex to him, so he indulges her impressive sensual appetite for him, while he battles through her thick wall of defenses to the devoted and gentle heart he knows is in there.

For anyone who has denied themselves a relationship with a younger man, this book is for you. Aubrey is the epitome of a strong, confident, older woman whose feelings for Jensen cause her to be vulnerable and unsure of herself. I loved watching her evolve into someone she never thought she could be. Jensen is the perfect mixture of strength, caring and patience to guide her through this metamorphasis. The author creates interesting situations that cause panic attacks for Aubrey and then cleverly uses dialogue and emotion to bring her slowly around. Since Jensen and Aubrey they are both single parents, it is a given that the children create complicated situations without even trying. Ms. Kingsley flavors the plot with a vindictive ex-wife and her jealous boyfriend, and the tensions build and sparks fly. This book is worth reading whether you are in a relationship where age is a factor or you just enjoy reading about a couple trying to keep things together against all odds. This is a fantastic, well-rounded story.

This was not one of my scheduled books to read for review. A friend needed help and I'm so glad she passed me this book to review. It was well worth my time.

Not only is it full of action both in and out of the bedroom, it has a fascinating plot and some crazy wonderful characters. Kasey and Dusty at the beginning of the story really have no clue as to what is going on between them. This is due to not knowing their true identities. You will understand this once you start reading this sexy and fun story.

If you are into cops, love action, and a fast paced story, please pick up this one. Jillian Hallowell has out done herself. I hope we see more of her cop stories in the future. Hopefully, it will be about Kasey O'Sheas' brothers.

After a botched investigation left him wounded and disgraced, Special Agent Alec Lambert was forced to transfer onto Wyatt Blackstone's team. This former profiler has lost his edge, buried by the guilt he feels over another agent's death. But he'll need all his skills when he realizes he's getting another crack at a case that has haunted him. A serial killer known as the Professor is now using the latest e-mail schemes to lure his victims and the Black CATs are on his trail.

Samantha Dalton didn't set out to become an online vigilante, until her grandmother was swindled out of everything she owned. Devoting herself to exposing fraud and preventing tragedies from happening to other families, Sam has gained fame and success with her website and a recently released book. A hermit since her ugly divorce, Sam really doesn't want the outside world intruding on her privacy. Especially not when that outside world is a sexy FBI agent who tells her she has a cyber connection to a murdered teenage boy.

When the killer opens a line of communication with Sam via her website, Alec and his team enlist her help to stop him. There's one thing they don't know, however. The Professor doesn't just see Sam Dalton as an anonymous online foe. He is, in fact, her number one fan. He's been watching her, waiting for the time to be right to make his move. He just isn't sure what that move will be.

Take her. Or kill her.

Even though I have not read the first book in this series, it stands alone quit well. Each book is an individualized story with reoccurring characters and some new ones along the way.

Between the plot, the dialogue and the characters, I don't know which one to brag about first. The plot is not only fast paced but well thought out. What hooked me was I could see this happening in real life which at first sent a shiver up my spine. The verbal dialogue between characters was realistic not only with the two main characters, Sam and Alex, but with the secondary characters as well. The non-verbal communication between Sam and Alex seemed to be effortless. It was almost like they could read each others thoughts and feelings. Between the twist and turns of the plot and the provoking dialogue, you will be glued to your seat reading until you get to the last page.

This is Leslie Parrish's first endeavor into the romantic suspense genre. Personally, I am so glad she took the leap. Not only do I plan on going back and picking up the first book, Fade To Black. I plan on adding the third book, Black at Heart, to my to buy list.

If you are a true fan and reader of the romantic suspense genre, this series needs to be added to your growing list of books to buy and read. I'm looking forward to reading more from Leslie Parrish in the future.

Alexandrine Marit is a witch in mortal danger. An evil mage craves the powerful, mysterious talisman that supplies her magic, and the only person who can keep her safe is a dark and dangerous fiend called Xia. With his fierce animosity toward witches, he's hardly the ideal bodyguard. Yet as days turn into nights, she can't deny the white-hot passion between them.

Review: Alexandrine Marit has been on her own for a while now. Her adoptive parents and brother are dead or so she thought. When Harsh shows up on her doorstep, alive, she could just about kill him. While searching for her birth parents, she stumbled across an amulet with magical power. Not such a shock, for a witch, but Harsh tells her real father is trying to kill her and he's bringing in the calvary.

Babysitting a witch is the last thing Xia wants to do with his newfound freedom from Rasmus Kessler, but he owes it to Harsh to look out for his sister. After being held under the control of Alexandrine's father he has a hatred of witches, but she pulls at him like no other woman before. Together they must destroy the panther talisman, find away to stop her father before its too late, and try not to fall in love along the way. If they can. Sometimes the heart's desire is our greatest weapon.

My Forbidden Desire is a fast-paced steamy paranormal with all the hallmarks of a romantic suspense. Fans of both genres will love this marriage of magic and danger. Ms. Jewel has a talent for stunning imagery and the ability to create a world within our own where anything and everything is possible. Another wonderful author I've added to my list.

With great power comes great adventure.

Janette, a young huntress, is forced into an epic journey when she’s saved by an Adepti knight from the Order of the White Tower. Instead of the usual shining armor, white horse and gleaming sword, Sir Conrad wields a mystical sapphire that imbues him with great power.

Chased across country by the High Inquisitor, the pair seek aid from a goddess. And when they get it, Janette finds herself gifted with beautiful but deadly powers of her own, attracting more danger than ever before.

This story is cute, the concept is interesting and the plot well constructed. However, in the realm of the epic adventures, it falls a little flat. The primus of an epic is to have someone who rises from obscurity, who overcomes many trials, to accomplish great things. In order for an epic to be a success, the characters must be relatable and we much fear for their safety.

The failing of this story is that the main character, Janette, is perfect. Only once in the entire story did she make a mistake, and even then it was to her benefit. Despite the fact she is little more then a peasant, and never been anything more until the day she meets the Knight, she is an excellent military strategist, negotiator, and never appears out of her element – even when dealing with nobles and people of other cultures. All this creates a character who is unrelatable to the reader.

The supporting cast is no better, all of whom always seem to make the choice that is best for the largest numbers of people. The only characters who seem to bumble their way through life are the assorted antagonists.

Overall, the story isn’t bad, it’s just a bit dull. This story seems more suited for children’s literature, than an adult audience.

Each of these five short stories are unique, hot and steamy. The characters are all shape and sizes, but I wish some of their personalities had been developed more. Some issues of self-esteem, trust and confidence were discussed in a few of them. All of the stories were fast paced and can give you a couple of hours of erotic pleasure. Please take note their is one f/f story and a couple deal with bondage.

I would like to read a much longer story from this author to get a better feel of her writing style and development. If you enjoy reading erotic, this is a book for you.

A hauntingly strange and powerfully affecting debut novel that heralds the arrival of a unique and captivating literary voice, Sang Pak's Wait Until Twilight is a coming-of-age story that explores the complex darkness infecting a damaged psyche in a small Southern town.

Not long after his own mother's death, sixteen-year-old Samuel discovers a set of deformed triplets hidden behind closed doors in his sleepy Georgia community. The babies—whose shut-in mother believes they were immaculately conceived and whose menacing brother is a constant threat—take control of Samuel's every waking and sleeping thought. His only escape, he realizes, will be to save the monster children. But to do so, he must rein in his darkest impulses as he undergoes a profound transformation from motherless boy to self-defined man—because sometimes the most terrible monsters are those that live inside us all.-- courtesy of Harper Collins

One year after his mother's death, Samuel Polk, a sixteen year old Georgian teenager, seeks an unusual subject for his art class video project. What he finds will rock him and all he knows to the core. A monstrously deformed set of triplets seem to seep into his mind and everyday life until he feels compelled to return to the shack where they are kept in hiding, thus setting in motion a chain of events that will unravel the secret of the "monster babies" and their existence. Sometimes, the worst demons of all are the ones inside ourselves.

After I finished reading this dark coming of age book, I wasn't sure what I would say. I felt sorry for Samuel at first because of his loss, but as he continued to tell his story I found myself feeling a bevy of mixed emotions. Pity, fear, disgust and admiration for the young man's triumph.

Wait Until Twilight touches on so many controversial and disturbing subjects, youth violence, premarital sex, drugs, alchohol use. Instead of ignoring these topics the author deftly acknowledges them in the darkest light, preferring to let Samuel experience and deal with the consequences of his actions.

Mr. Pak's background in pyschology is evident throughout the book yet subtle. He has an unusual voice that commands attention. Set in a small Georgia town, the imagery hit a little too close to home. As a mother to a fifteen year old son this book made me think on all sorts of levels and I wondered why he chose to strike back on his own, instead of seek his father or his brother's aide and advice when both seemed so supportive. Wait Until Twilight is a powerful debut novel everyone should read at least once.

A steamy, sultry summer night. A swimming pool bathed in moonlight. A lonely woman unexpectedly comes upon the forbidden sight of a naked, much younger man.

Years later, Lily Martin is haunted by the erotic dream of that one night. Divorced and newly returned to the scene of that vision, the last person she expects to come roaring down her laneway on a Harley is that same young man, now fully grown.

Ryan Kincaid never forgot his teenage crush on Lily Martin. Years and distance separated them, but Lily remained the one woman Ryan had craved but never tasted. Now she's within reach, and he has every intention of feasting his fill.

Embarking on a sexual odyssey together, Ryan awakens passions Lily never suspected she had. But can his hot loving uncover the woman within and give her the courage to overcome the past and claim the future with him?

First off, this story will blow your socks off. Morgan Ashbury has a way of uplifting a woman to new heights. This is a story for all women who have felt controlled, been treated as a second class person, demoralized and in need of a new outlook on life.

Lily and Ryan might spend a lot of time in bed. However, this story is so much more than just sex. Ryan helps build Lily's confidence instead of trying to destroy her self-esteem. Ryan not only gives Lily permission to be her true self. He loves her for who she is not what she has. As the story progresses, you can see Lily coming into herself. It is like the title says, you can see her blooming.

Some people might not like the age difference in the characters. I, on the other hand, find it refreshing. Where as some of the secondary characters had a way of getting under my skin. I found myself at times wanting to put my own two cents worth in. I sometimes get emotional with the stories I read especially when they are so well written.

I could keep singing praises for this book, but I will stop now. I leave you with this. GO BUY THE BOOK. You will be spending your money wisely.

My name is Harriet Ruby, Tour Director Extraordinaire. At least I thought I was worthy of that title until one of my tourists, Archie Philpot, died in the middle of my first, solo European tour.

Teaming up with William Talbot, a seemingly kind stranger who turned out to be a spy in disguise, I tried to keep my tourists happy and unaware while smuggling poor old Archie's body out of Morocco. I never expected my newfound friend and helper to be the love of my life. It certainly didn’t hurt that he was such a hunk!

But before our romance even got properly started, we were chased by terrorists, smugglers and murderers. Since my role model had always been Tour Guide Barbie, I was out of my league and had to rely on Will to get us to safely.

Little did I know that getting out of Morocco was just the beginning...

When tour guide Harriet Ruby tries to round up her tourists in a Morrocan market, she returns to find one of her charges violently ill. He dies shortly after. Clearly a damsel in distress she accepts the help of Will Talbot, who turns out to be a Europol agent. He insists they smuggle Archie's body out of the country by pretending he just isn't feeling well, but when Harriet almost dies trying to rescue Archie's prosthetic leg out of the water, they realize there is more to the unexpected death than either of them could know. I found All for a dead man's leg hilariously funny at times. The author literally had me in tears with laughter, but balances this with a constant impending sense of doom, eventually bringing the couple together. A great story, and one you've gotta read.

National bestselling author Amanda Scott sweeps readers back to the turbulent fourteenth-century Scottish Borders, where valiant men and women risk everything for their land. Jenny Easdale is ready to accept her fate. She's agreed to marry a man she will never love - yet not before slipping away for one last adventure. Following a traveling minstrel troupe, she's whisked into a world of intoxicating freedom. Then, all too soon, she finds herself in danger - from a vengeful political plot against Scotland and from the man who has come to take her home. Dutybound to return with his brother's wayward bride, Sir High Douglas is not prepared for how her quick wit, courage, and laughing eyes touch his warrior heart. Now, as the merry minstrels play matchmaker and passion sparks between Hugh and Jenny, the conspiracy against Scotland builds...and threatens all they hold dear.

I really liked reading this book. Historical fiction has always been my passion and Amanda Scott did not let me down. She obviously conducted quite a bit of research into the period and the setting. The story, albeit fiction, was realistic because of her diligence to keeping facts intact and her attention to detail. I enjoyed the storyline very much as well. The hero and heroine were well developed and unique and I found myself within the pages of the book fully envisioning each character and setting. I want to know more about Jenny and Hugo and their escapades, and cannot wait to read the sequel to this story. For that matter, I may read the book again because I found it quite enjoyable.

Where do you begin a review when you can find no faults or anything that needs to be changed in your opinion. For author, Kate Brady, her debut novel has got to be a smash hit.

This book is packed full of drama, suspense, and just a touch of romance. The pace is set at one speed throughout the book and that is fast. You had better prepare yourself for an all night reading feast because once you get started you won't stop til the last page is read. It doesn't end with just a fast paced plot. It is only the beginning. You have characters that are so well developed you can actually see everything happening like on a movie screen. You will become invested in their past history, as well as, what is happening now to them. What I enjoyed most was the dialogue between characters, Neil and Beth. The way they spoke with each other from the beginning, you knew there was going to be some healing for each of them.

There is an almost satirical feeling to this book, though I don’t think it was intended to be so. The heroine is special but unappreciated, while the hero is unabashedly perfect. She’s tough, strong, independent, and can make it on her own. He’s rich, famous, handsome, and utterly devoted to her.

Once again, his witchy teenage sisters screwed up a spell at his expense, leaving him a black Scottie. Doing what comes naturally to dogs, he collides with the car of the town veterinarian. Living with the compassionate Amanda Livingston, he discovers the love of his dreams.

Will he spend his life as a lap dog to the woman he knows is his soul mate, or will he be able to break the dog spell?

This is quick read and a fun romping tale!

Amanda loves animals and has come to believe she has better luck with them than she has with men! She adopts the sweet little Scottie after she hits it. While she pours out her troubles to the pooch Alistair, she has no idea that Randall can understand every word!

Randall is a busy attorney who has taken some time off to watch his twin sisters, the “demon duo”. After they mistakenly turn him into a dog, Rand tries to focus on his human feelings but the natural dog urges sometimes get the best of him! Other times he deliberately uses those natural urges to charm Amanda or annoy her dates! Randall falls hard for Amanda and is frustrated to stand by as a little dog while she goes out with guys he doesn’t like at all! He’s glad to be in her bed at night as the dog but really wants to be there as her mate!

Randall finally gets a chance to be a man with Amanda and sets out to woo her. He doesn’t know how long he will be human so he pushes to get closer quickly. Amanda is wary due to past experiences and thinks that Randall may be out to get “lucky” after which he will disappear!

Randall is going to disappear and become the dog again if his family doesn’t find a way to reverse the spell. How will he keep Amanda from feeling betrayed when he disappears? And worse yet – what if she finds out he is the dog that snuggles with her? How will she react to that?!

I liked how the characters are real to their roles and the writing is brisk and the dialog is snappy. There is the added banter of a smart aleck cat who is the family familiar. There was some blunt and raw language but it didn’t detract from the delightful story. Since I don’t want to give away anything, to find out whether Randall really goes to the dogs, you need to read this charming book!

In time, Heidi finds that Joseph’s absence was not only mysterious but suspicious, as well. And to top it all off, they are dealing with one unorthodox kidnapper.

As two lost hearts and souls search for love again, as well as their newborn child, their journey will take all the courage they can muster for there to be any hope of reigniting their romance or getting their four-day-old infant back alive.

This is a story of reunion with a nice message. It has plenty of action too.

Heidi is a new mother completely enthralled with her baby. She is surprised when her estranged husband returns and a little wary as to his motives. She soon becomes furious when baby Lily is kidnapped because of something Joseph did. Joseph apparently is finally maturing and willing to take responsibility for his own actions and he wants to reunite and take care of his family. Unfortunately he has brought trouble home with him.

The story opens with the intense emotions of high pain and joy of child birth! Very shortly the baby is kidnapped and Heidi and Joseph are frantically trying to get her back.

There is a constant sensual pull between Heidi and Joseph plus a whole range of other emotions such as doubt, anger, guilt, fear and frustration. It was never totally clear to me what had caused Heidi and Joseph to separate. Heidi is willing to take things slowly in their reunion until Lily is kidnapped and she learns that it is because of Joseph. Although she is furious with him she also seems to realize that she will have a better chance of getting Lily back if she works with Joseph.

The story started out fast paced and ended with lots of tight, well written action. Unfortunately it seemed that the middle of the book got bogged down in repetitious details of Heidi’s inner thought processes and analysis of her relationship with Joseph. It did not read smoothly for me then but seemed to drag for a bit. The character of Heidi seemed a bit whiney and a lot stubborn. Her determination to rescue her baby is good at some points but results in stupid actions when she runs off to confront the kidnappers by herself. The character of Joseph did not seem to me to be completely or clearly developed. He tended to get distracted by his attraction and desire for Heidi.

It was a good plot but perhaps needed better tightening and less repetition in the middle. The story does have a nice message of redemption and forgiveness. If you like to delve into a character’s detailed thought process, I think you would especially like this book.

Betsy Alexander rides a Harley to blow off steam after stressful work days peddling real estate in a soft market. She desperately needs a motorcycle ride after her first encounter with the arrogant hunk Skylar Blakewood. Then to find out the real estate developer snatched up the land she'd planned for her dream house and a hillside of Christmas trees, knocks her off her sturdy footing, literally.

Review:
Betsy's character is a fighter and sassy as all get out. She is constantly having to fight the voice of reason within herself. Skylar Blakewood is the very sexy real estate developer who has something that Betsy has dreamed of all her life. I thought these two characters were very funny together. They each seemed just one step away from passion but something always came in between them. The secondary characters like Stephanie, the barracuda, were very entertaining. I personally don't think I would have been able to hold my tongue with that character.

Hot Property is the first book that I have read from Lacey Diamond and made me want to read more of her work. The characters were believable and entertaining. I enjoyed Ms. Diamond's style of writing especially the first meeting between Betsy and Skylar. I encourage you to pick up this book as you will find it is a sweet yet sexy romance with an engaging story line.
