It’s a long trip from Sydney to Vancouver, but Professor Theresa Fallon’s sexy seatmate, thriller writer Damien Black, has ways of making the hours fly by. How can she turn down the mile-high club and sex on Waikiki Beach? To the prof’s surprise, her sex drive hasn’t disappeared – it was only waiting for the right man to awaken it. And the same very well might go for her heart…

Sex Drive is the first book in the Wild Ride to Love series. In this sexy “planes, trains, automobiles, and a cruise ship” four-book series, the three older Fallon sisters travel home to their baby sister’s wedding. Along the way, each finds a romance of her own – and learns that the journey to love truly is one wild ride!

Since I've been reviewing, this is only the second book I've rated as You Gotta Gotta Read. I have fallen in love with this series and can't for the next book.

If you love contemporary erotica romance, this is definitely a book you need to add to your collection. Sitting here in the mountains of Kentucky, I loved being able to visit the warm beaches of Hawaii. With the way Susan Lyons describes the setting, you can almost smell the fragrance of the flowers.

The main reason you should pick up this book is the characters. Theresa Fallon and Damien Black may be opposites on the outside. They are anything but opposite on the inside. While reading, you will learn about Theresa's insecurities when it comes to men. Why her past has a way of cropping up in their relationship along the way. Yet, Damien takes her past in stride and makes her feel like a sexy, attractive woman, instead of the way she sees herself as a plain Jane. Damien is the type of hero any woman could fall in love with. He is not only sexy, but intelligent, generous, and compassionate.

I don't want to give too much away with this book, because I want every person who reads this review to go out and buy the book. There is not only depth with the characters, but some of the issues discussed are just as important, such as trust, discrimination, and even sibling rivalier.

As I stated earlier, this is a contemporary erotica romance. Some people might take offense to certain scenes in the book. Personally, I found them to not only be well written but hot and steamy as well.

Picking up this book will have you adding Susan Lyons to your to buy list and waiting impatiently for the next book in the series.

Ashlee Morrison has a secret obsession—with a dark and mysterious male. The only problem is that he’s a wolf and she’s becoming convinced that she’s insane. But Ashlee’s wolf is no ordinary canine; he is Tristan Kane, third son in the royal family of the Westervelt Wolf pack.

Trapped in his wolf form by his evil father’s men, Tristan has desperately sought a way out of predicament and is shocked to find that the sad but beautiful redhead who has come to the wolf cage can not only hear him, but awakens in him the knowledge that she is his mate, the other half of his soul.

Ashlee, unaware that she is half wolf-shifter, agrees to accompany Tristan back to his pack in Maine to seek answers to her past and understand her future. But as Tristan and Ashlee grow closer, familial betrayals will threaten to destroy the fragile love they have started to build.

With the odds stacked against them, Ashlee and Tristan will either embrace their love to save the Westervelt Wolves or be lost forever to despair.

Her Wolf had an interesting beginning with a mentally unstable person talking to herself and a wolf housed in a zoo exhibit. From there the adventure began. I enjoyed reading this book for numerous reasons. The author introduced the main characters immediately and got right down to the story. I really enjoyed the fact that the author, Rebecca Royce, used the love story as fuel to the story but not necessarily the only focal point. Since this is book one in the series she established the roles of each character and allowed for an ending to the book but not the story. I also look forward to reading a bit more about the family pack and their plans to reestablish themselves off the coast of Maine. I hope the author writes more about Maine and why the inhabitants of the pack chose the island of Westervelt to make their home. It is too bad she did not choose one of the real uninhabited islands off the coast of Maine, such as Pond Island, for the setting. A prequel would be great as well. I am excited for this author and for the story of the Westervelt Wolf pack.

Luz Montalvo is a carefree college student until her parents die in a car crash. Frantic not to lose her younger siblings to foster care, Luz takes them on the run. After nearly a year scraping by as an apartment manager, she’s just beginning to feel safe when she discovers her newest tenant is her worst nightmare.

Charles Larimore, a Denver district attorney, has been shaped by losses that have left him wary, particularly of children and of horses. After losing all he owns in a suspicious fire, he is forced to move into the apartment building managed by a woman with two children.

Luz finds herself falling in love with Charles, even though he's part of the system that can tear her family apart. And since secrets and seven-year-olds are a volatile mix, it isn’t long before Luz's sister spills the beans and Charles learns Luz is hiding from the authorities. It forces him to choose: say nothing and risk his integrity, or turn her in and lose a chance at a wholehearted love.

Along the way both Luz and Charles will rediscover lost memories and Charles will finally remember why he's afraid of horses.

When Luz's parents are suddenly killed in a tragic traffic accident she is devastated. Child services intend to take her baby brother and little sister and place them in foster care, possibly separate them. At nineteen, she finds her father's stash of money, empties her parents accounts for a pitiful little amount and takes her siblings into the wind. Finding a job as a apartment manager for a small salary and board seems like a great stroke of luck, until Charles is tossed into her life.

Charles just lost what he thought was the love of his life to his best friend. He comes home to find his apartment building, particularly his apartment, on fire. Everything he had is gone. When he begins to fall for the lovely Luz, in spite of her prickly ways, he has no idea he could destroy everything she holds dear.

I loved this book! Though she found herself in a horrible situation, Luz persevered and did what she needed to for her family. Of all the people for her to fall in love with, the author set up her character with a district attorney, with his own problems. I love the little twists throughout the story and enjoyed reading Ms. Warner's work very much. I'm looking forward to the next book.

During the full moon, the introverted Drew transforms into a sexy, dangerous wolf with a mission to kick vampire ass. But when Phoebe presents him with the mysterious microchip, the full moon has waned. Can he discover its secret and protect Phoebe without the strength of the werewolf?

I have to give this author credit for creativity. A werewolf with Asperger’s is definitely different and an interesting challenge for a character to overcome. But the vampires’ ...unique weakness could have used more explanation.

This story was fun, amusing, and exciting. The relationship between Drew and Phoebe moves at a reasonable and believable pace, with plenty of tension and questioning of their individual feelings.

Overall, this is great story. There are a few plot-holes that could use some patching, but it still has fun and original obstacles for the characters undertake.

When his latent destructiveness is unleashed and impacts his family, he moves to their lakeside cottage to come to grips with his personal weaknesses.

But busybodies at his company assume he moved to the cottage because his marriage is in trouble. Encouraged by the assumption, co-worker Brooke Emerson, an amoral, 1980s material girl romantically obsessed with Troy, begins to stalk him....

Connie Chastain has written a sensitive, though provoking, emotional, Christian love story between a man and his wife. She was able to make it very realistic in the sense that we are all human and prone to human needs and desires as well as weaknesses of faith and self-esteem. Characters were well developed and each was given a past for understanding and a final outcome of their decisions. The conflicts within the story were realistic and pertinent in relation to society as it stands. The author became a little overbearing on the Christian message and at times it distracted me as I read. Although I agree with Chastain, portion regarding gun control felt heavy-handed and did not feel pertinent to the storyline. It was not an effective segue to the next portion of the story.

Amazingly, the story was heartening for Christian readers to feel more at ease with a traditional lifestyles and comfortable with God-centered decisions. She was able to write sexy love scenes between Troy and Patty without being a prude but without being graphic as well. I enjoyed reading a story that focused the moral messages of monogamy, truth, and trust in family, friends, and God. Overall I enjoyed reading this book very much. Although there were less than four hundred pages the story was complete. I would read more of her books.

While bio-terrorists use her handcrafted dolls to attack the innocent, Letti Noel falls for FBI agent Taut Johnson. Deceit is a growing barrier to their love, but it's the stalking terrorists that threaten their lives.

This is a remarkably vibrant and fast paced romantic suspense! It is full of subtle and sassy innuendos that I have come to expect and enjoy from Angelica & Zi ‘s Tuesday Morning posts at J. Kaye’s Book Blog.

Letti is a wonderfully creative business woman. She has developed a unique line of dolls and I loved all the various descriptions of the dolls that are designed to suit the individual recipients. Suddenly the unique dolls start showing up with a deadly poison that could hurt the children or their loved ones who have ordered the dolls as gifts. Taut Johnson, FBI agent, goes in undercover to see if Letti is involved in the nefarious plot.

The book starts with a punch of evil from the bio-terrorist villains and an intense description of the first death. The writing is brisk and has its own irreverent and feisty style! Sometimes it had me smirking, others chuckling and there were parts where I was absolutely laughing out loud!! The story is heavy with sexuality, including some phone play, and some language is a bit rough and raw but it works well for the story.

I liked the short sub-chapters and the introductory phrases that clue you in to what will happen in the next section. There was an interesting shift in the story from the hunt for the terrorists to hot and heavy lovemaking! Then it slides back to terrorist action and an ironic ending!

I found the style of this book different from most of what I read. I enjoyed its unique “brassiness” and distinct humor. I would recommend this as a definite NEED to read for adults who don’t mind a little bit of raw language and who love catchy innuendos, a sound plot, fast action, and intense scenes.

Libby Wild is a world famous photographer, working for an upscale travel magazine and living the good life. A firm believer in the credo, "You can never go home again," she's horrified when she’s assigned to do just that, go home to Wyoming and do a photo spread on Yellowstone National Park.

Identical twins Bodie and Ty Cade lived with a secret shame that prompted them to torment camera toting Libby Wild all throughout high school. Ten years later, feeling guilty over their treatment of her, they want to make it up the best way they know how: by giving her more pleasure than any woman has ever experienced.

But Libby’s not interested, or so she says. Fortunately for them, Libby’s body says different. It’s not hard to manipulate her situation to their advantage and convince her to accept them as backcountry guides. And, if the twins have their way, they’ll show her that Yellowstone’s scenery isn’t the only thing that will leave her breathless.

For every girl who went through school as the unappreciated, unnoticed brainiac, nerd or shy mouse this is the book for you. Libby Wild was that unfortunate girl growing, and she had her twin tormentors, Cade and Bodie, as a bonus. Little did any of them know there was a reason for everything and they each had their motivations. For these reasons, Ms. Master takes what could have been merely a light-hearted, sexy romp, and turns it into a truly sensitive story. I found Yellowstone Wild so funny there were times when I was chuckling out loud, and other times I found it intensely poignant, causing me to reminisce about my own high school days with fond memories – okay, maybe not the same type of fond memories, but fond nevertheless.

What keeps Yellowstone Wild from being boring or pedestrian is Ms. Masters attention to detail; she devotes as much time to describing the backdrop of the great Western outdoors as she does to the people populating her fantastic book. Her ability to effortlessly pen a credible Western dialect combined with the quick and snappy dialogue added together make Yellowstone Wild a must read story. Libby and her men manage to keep themselves and Ms. Masters' readers equally entertained with their antics, and locked into their struggles to establish their relationship until the last page. Rather than recommending people read this book I have to question how anyone could not read it, it is just that good.

No acknowledgment—but is true love the exception?

Meirion Flatt is one of a handful of people participating in the human version of a nature show for an alien race known as the Fey. Kiar, one of the three men chosen to film her, has awakened emotions in her she hasn’t felt since her husband died. She can’t tell if the feelings are mutual or one-sided, but she’s willing to find out.

Kiar takes great pride in doing his job correctly and that pride means everything to him. The network he works for has a strict rule of no acknowledgment. He’s meant to observe, not interact--no matter what. When Meirion sets out to seduce him, his job becomes that much harder.

Two of the universe's most stubborn people are about to clash in a new battle of the sexes. This competition has no rules and neither Meirion nor Kiar is willing to lose. It's her heart versus his pride. Will victory lead to joint happiness or both their defeats as Kiar struggles against... Acknowledging Meirion

Acknowledging Meirion is an unusual novel with a unique premise: the main characters, called the Fey, are other worlders who like to observe, record and broadcast humans using optic cameras. This story operates on several levels inviting the reader to watch the Fey as they watch each other watching the heroine, Meirion Flatt. Meirion agreed to have her life recorded and broadcasted twenty-four hours a day by the Fey never anticipating that she would become attracted to one of her three Fey cameramen. Unfortunately, they are not allowed to interact with her under any circumstances. This does not deter Meirion from trying to illicit some response from Kiar, the Fey she has chosen as her mate, with notable results.

Poor Kiar is not sure what to expect from day to day, and while Ms. Renquest does show his strain at not being able to express his feelings, she is even more adept at relaying Meirion’s despair at not receiving any response from Kiar the one time she makes an overture. This struggle between recognition and denial is at the center of the story and the center of their problems; until Meirion and Kiar can find a middle ground neither will be happy. Ms. Renquest’s sensitivity in writing the scenes between the pair keeps this book from being maudlin, and allows it to have the happy ending readers expect from a true romance. While not a light and frivolous romance, this is definitely a romance, and one well worth reading.

And after one wild weekend, these two hearts will never be the same.

Sometimes the best things come in the smallest packages, as is the case with Singapore Fling. As a novella, one expects an abbreviated story, but Ms. Cahill manages to pack enough emotion, plot and characterization in her story to equal the depth of War and Peace. I must say, I was completely taken with both of her characters: their multi-dimensionality, emotional depth, strength of character. The love scenes are both tender and steamy, romantic and intensely carnal. I loved how Carly and Saxon interacted with each other, as both friends and lovers, co-workers and emotional strangers, with their funny and sometimes sharp and occasionally caustic dialogue to liven up a scene. Now she lives the murders through his eyes, from his deadly approach, to his victims’ screams. Until the night he breaks into her apartment and she fears she’s going to be the next to die. But the man who snatches Delaney from her home isn’t the murderer. He’s Tighe, a dangerous Feral Warrior who needs her and her visions to stop the rampages of a creature as inhuman as he is evil. Tighe has little use for humans, but as he and Delaney join forces to track the dark fiend, he falls for the intense beauty and becomes wild with an obsession as untamed as his heart.

For anyone who read the first book in this series, rejoice: Tighe finally has his own book, and what a book Obsession Untamed is. We saw an all too brief glimpse of this character in Desire Untamed, and even then his persona was almost sinfully charismatic. As the hero in his own book Tighe is even more magnetic, drawing the reader in from the initial page. Obsession Untamed can stand alone without reading Desire first as the author uses Tighe to explain the history behind his fellow Feral Warriors to Delaney and the reader at the same time; it just helps to read the first book to flesh out the “stories” of those characters.

What we find in Obsession Untamed are two very strong-willed individuals struggling to do the right thing, yet so attracted to each other they cannot remain apart. Ms. Palmer is a wonderful storyteller, managing to continue her saga in a second book without repeating it. She has a masterful grasp of plot, dialogue and characterization, and manages to intertwine a sense of both fantasy and folklore into the threads of the storyline within this installment as well. There is certainly an abundance of action in this book, yet the romance, so poignant and stirring, is dominant. We are left wondering until the very end, if good will ultimately triumph over evil and if Tighe and Delaney will have a future. What fun it was uncovering the answer!

Pearson Labs continues to create Circs, people who have been genetically changed. When needed, these Circs take on an altered form--one neither man nor animal, but something in between. But unlike the squad, the Circs coming out of Pearson Labs aren't sane.

Hale's dreams are more than nightmares--the prophetic doom of a beautiful woman he doesn't know and a man he wishes he'd never met: two people meant for him that are too involved with his enemy for Hale's peace of mind. But the heart wants what the heart wants, and Hale's beast won't accept less than the woman and man destined to become his mates. Then word arrives that Pearson Labs is finally coming down, and Hale has to race to save his mates from the fallout. Can they survive or will their love crumble under the enemy's chaos and deception too close to home?

Not having read the previous Circe Recruits novels I was a little apprehensive about starting the third book without ever seeing the other two, but I needn’t have worried. To say I was pleasantly surprised to find myself not only following the story, but completely immersed in the plot and the characters from the first few paragraphs is not an exaggeration. Ms. Harte manages to provide a substantial amount of background information in the guise of her characters relating their history and experiences to each other all while managing to entertain her readers. In addition, as she is establishing her characters' connection to each other, we see that she solidifies those connections in very “tactile” ways. Circe Recruits are soldiers, they are most at home with some physical activity, be it fighting, rough-housing or making love.

Circe Recruits: Hale is without a doubt a flaming hot book: it is not for the unadventurous, timid reader. Somehow, Ms. Harte is equally detailed (graphic) and sensitive in her descriptions of both the love scenes and the battle scenes, and she is not shy as to the number of people involved in either. That is not to say that either “dance” is gratuitous or salacious; they are just fairly action-packed or adrenalin-filled depending upon the occasion. Essentially, this book is a lot of fun with a creative plot, interesting characters, steamy sex, sharp dialogue and the added benefit of a continuing storyline – what more could a reader desire?

I really wanted to like this book because I have always enjoyed reading about ancient gods and goddesses. Unfortunately, I did not really like it as much as I had hoped. The beginning was a bit choppy for me as I had to reset my mind a bit to remove my preconceived ideas about the gods mentioned in this book. The first chapter felt a bit disjointed to me. I rarely continue reading after the second chapter if by then a book does not catch my attention. Once I read past the first chapter I began to get into the groove of this story of opposites attracting and fighting that attraction until having to give in.

The story was a great idea but it fell a little flat for me. The sex scenes were good, not as racy as I was expecting, but still worth a bit of heavy breathing. I think if the author could have added a bit more to the beginning to describe the turmoil of all characters involved, as well as a few more dirty tricks by the bystanders to make the struggle more intense, I would have enjoyed it much more. I would like to read more detail about the characters. As this was the first book of Sailors’ I have read, it seemed to take for granted I knew the characters and their pasts much more than I did. It just did not leave me wanting to read all night, I felt like I had to finish it because I wanted to begin a different book.

Magnus Crowe learned the hard way never to trust a beautiful woman, so when his partner Silas discovers that someone is stealing from their club, The Dungeon, Magnus is totally opposed to calling in a woman to fix it. Particularly a Longfellow woman.

Prudence Longfellow comes from an ancient line of woman warriors. Longfellows are healers, historians and guardians...and in her case, forensic accountants. She agrees to track the missing money at The Dungeon with one condition: Magnus Crowe must stay far away from her.

That's a promise easier made than kept. Pru might look like a little mouse, but she's a warrior at heart, and her valor (not to mention the intoxicating scent of amber and vanilla that follows her around) are impossible for Magnus to resist. Magnus and Pru fight their attraction to each other for as long as they can, but even an ancient Vampire and a Longfellow can't beat fate.

But fate isn't the only thing conspiring against them. Magnus' and Silas' sire, the evil Contessa Allessandra DiCasca, has set a foul plan in motion to reclaim her boys. It is only with the power he finds in Pru's love that Magnus can gain the strength to defeat his creator and protect all he holds dear.

Oh my. Where do I start? The authors must have known of my obsession with the Scot brogue and my, how should I say it, well, fetish for vampires. The authors, Sierra Summers and Violet Johnson, seemed to be writing just for me. Rock stars, strong warrior women, Scots, a bit of evil, and of course some graphic love scenes. This is not a book for faint of heart nor is if for your husband, unless you want him to learn a few things about what turns you on. Goodness! I really liked the story, obviously, but there were a couple of things that niggled me as I read. There were some typos, words left out; minor stuff that bugged the OCD in me, and the way in which they had the main character speak when he was aroused. I understand he was an “old” vampire and the more guttural speech was what the authors were looking for, but after hundreds of years you would think he could add a personal pronoun in a sentence or two. That being said, I had to remember to breathe a bit here and there when the more passionate scenes were being described. Lovely tail, er, tale. Thanks ladies. Whew!

Willow is not so sure she wants any part of a ghost hunt, until she sees a priceless family heirloom on display in Alex’s home. She agrees to help him in exchange for the necklace, though Alex is reluctant to part with the expensive jewelry. Can they learn to work together and get past their differences? Or will Abbie be the one obstacle they can’t remove?

To rid his family estate of a trouble ghost, vampire Alex Forsythe calls on Willow Cowan, descendant of his ghost and a powerful witch in her own rite. While looking for clues that will give Abbie rest, Willow and Alex stumble upon a dangerous secret. Will their newfound love survive the fight yet to come? A wonderful read, Ms. Wolfe mixes a potent combination of vampire lore, mystery and heat into a tale to read time after time. I enjoyed the way she subtly drew the reader in with the hint of Abbie's murder and animosity for Alex without giving a reason until the end. A great story and one you gotta read.

However, the Jewels are dying, and so is Ambrosia. Her love for Saxon is the key but is it stronger than her struggle for treasure hunting fame? In the end, will love conquer all?

After being secreted away from the disappearing isle of Ambrosia as a baby, Selena Lewis is a treasure hunter determined to prove the island exists. Captured by the enigmatic pirate prince Saxon Ambrose, Selena may discover more than just treasure. Will she choose a dream over her heart?

Jewels of the Sun is an excellent read filled with an undercurrent of humor and intrigue that sucks you into the story. True to her talent and style Ms. Carson delivers beautiful imagery and fantastical locales that leave you wanting more. I admired Selena's strength and every "how will she get out of this one" moment. Saxon, in turn, amused me with his dry wit and royal dodging. A wonderful love story and one you gotta read.

The year is 1906, and America is segregated. Hatred and discrimination plague the streets, the classroom, and the courts. But in Washington D.C., Ben Corbett, a smart and courageous lawyer, makes it his mission to confront injustice at every turn. He represents those who nobody else dares defend, merely because of the color of their skin. When President Roosevelt, under whom Ben served in the Spanish-American war, asks Ben to investigate rumors of the resurgence of the Ku Klux Klan in his home town in Mississippi, he cannot refuse.

The details of Ben's harrowing story--and his experiences with a remarkable man named Abraham Cross--were passed from generation to generation, until they were finally recounted to Alex Cross by his grandmother, Nana Mama. From the first time hear heard the story, Alex was unable to forget the unimaginable events Ben witnessed in Eudora and pledged to tell it to the world. Alex Cross's Trial is unlike any story Patterson has ever told, but offers the astounding action and breakneck speed of any Alex Cross novel.

Known for helping the 'colors' with their legal needs, lawyer Ben Corbett often takes cases which offer little prestige and often less money. Having served under President Theodore Rosevelt, Ben is called to the White House, where he is given a secret mission by the President. He must travel from his home in Washington D.C. to Eudora, Mississippi, his childhood home, and investigate the rumors of clan risings in the South. What he finds will shock him and the country, threaten his marriage and change his view of the world.

Written in the vocal style of one of James Patterson's most loved characters, Alex Cross, this book takes you back to another time along the steamy Mississippi delta when our country was still two halves trying to be whole. Patterson fans will find Alex Cross' Trial, a must have to add to their collection, making this book one you need to read.

Fans of David Cross will enjoy this audio book read by the author. As someone who isn't familiar with the comic style of Mr. Cross, I was a little taken aback by some of his comments. The book is well read and written, to be sure, but I could have done without the swearing and blatant sexual references. Mr. Cross' style is certainly one of a kind. Blurb: This book presents a unique twist to erotic stories. There are 24 stories; 12 from the man’s point of view and the same 12 from the woman’s point of view. Both sides of the story are told, and you see the encounter through the eyes of each person.

The book is even printed with half the stories on one side, and then you flip it over to read the other half of the stories.

The stories take place in a variety of locations and scenarios, some indoors and some out, some in an office and a few in the bedroom. To add to the intrigue, I will tell you that half of the stories are true, and the other half are based on someone I met and wished this is how things would have worked out. It’s your job as the reader to figure out which ones are real, and which ones are just my active sexual imagination at work.

Enjoy all 232 pages of the hot and sensual action.

Review: First, this is an ADULTS ONLY BOOK. This is not a romance, but stories exploring different sexual scenarios. I read the female versions first and than the males perspective. While reading I could not tell which ones where true and which ones werethe product of the authors imagination, except maybe the last one. For me, this is every man's fantasy. You can guess what this story is about without me spelling it out for you.

When reading each individual story, you get the details and emotions from both perspectives. Going back and forth with each story, you can see the differences of what is going on in the minds of the women and the one man, who experiences them all.

The only problem I had with this book is I had to take breaks while reading. This is not a book you sit down and read in one sitting. Reading too many of these stories at once will send you into a towering inferno or cardiac arrest. It is definitely not for the faint at heart. If you and your partner like exploring new ideas when it comes to sex, please pick up this book. It will definitely get your imagination flowing and might put it into overdrive.

SHADOW STATE/ISABEL ROMAN Fighting to prevent the Nazi's from gaining wehrwölfe army, Christoph and Elsa tread a serpentine path between an ambitious party man and their primal need for each other.

BLOOD MOON/AUTUMN SHELLEY Kate rescues a stray and gets more than she bargained for in the form of shifter, Logan Turner. Suddenly she is thrust into battle to save Logan’s life, his kind, and her heart.

RAVEN’S SHELTER/DARIEL RAYE Raven, a sentinel wolf shifter, who is captured and then locked in his wolf form until Karen, a veterinarian, tries to tame him unknowingly unleashes a 6'5" baby blue-eyed surprise.

MAREK’S NEW WORLD/RENEE WILDES When park ranger Cheyenne Rafferty's truck is disabled in a MT earthquake, she thought her day couldn't get any worse. Until she runs afoul a demon from the ancient past - and the charismatic warrior sent to destroy it.

WEREWOLVES IN LONDON/KARILYN BENTLEY Vonda has sworn off men until she meets Tom. Now all she has to do is rescue his daughter, fight a pack of werewolves and save her heart from being broken.

This anthology has five different stories from five different authors. The only common thread to the stories being werewolves. Whether they were Alpha males or strong females all the characters in these stories made you care. Each author brought you into their world and kept you entertained from start to finish. Short stories are always a nice way to get a feel of an authors work and if you like them. It seems I may have found five new authors to enjoy. Each story held its own and had me enthralled and glued to the pages to see what was going to happen next.

In the first story SHADOW STATE we read about a pack of werewolves fighting the Nazis in the 1900’s. As Christoph and Elsa finally meet and deal with their mating they must also deal with the Nazis. They must keep themselves and the pack hidden from the Nazi scientists who wish to experiment on them and build their own army of super werewolves to win the war. Can they save the pack as well as dealing with their own mating?

The next story BLOOD MOON would have to be my favorite of the five stories. In this story we learn of evil scientists trying to experiment on werewolves. One night alpha male Logan escapes one of their facilities and ends up at Kate’s veterinary clinic. Once she finds out just what Logan is and what has happened to him at the scientist’s hands it is a race against time to help Logan and his brother.

RAVEN’S SHELTER was another great story. Veterinarian Karen is a strong woman with a soft heart for animals. She finds Raven in his wolf form hurt and barely conscious. Not knowing that he is a werewolf Karen takes him in and thinks that she is operating on a large dog that maybe part wolf. Once Raven recovers he leaves Karen and returns to his human form.
Raven than comes to Karen’s clinic to offer his help and as the two come to know each other Raven is attacked and kidnapped. As Karen tries to figure things out Cord who is Ravens sisters husband comes along to help. The two must find a way to rescue both their loves. The only question is will Karen accept Raven once she finds out just what he really is?

In MAREKS WORLD we learn about ancient ways and the evils that dwelled on earth from the times of the pyramids and before. Marek awakes many years in the future only to find that the evil he was to guard has been freed and is roaming the world. He must find and conquer it before all is lost. Along the way he comes upon Cheyenne and her werewolf pack. He must trust them and try to enlist their help. Can they work together to destroy the evil before it is to late?

In the last story WEREWOLVES IN LONDON Vonda a lone werewolf comes across a kidnapping of a small child. The small child of a man she has recently found feelings for. As Vonda and Tom band together to find and save his daughter the two must deal with their own feelings. Many a twist and turn in this story has you glued to the pages wanting to see what was going on. Both Vonda and Tom are in for many a surprise and the reader is along for the ride.

All these stories were full of depth and action. If you enjoy stories full of love and action you will definitely enjoy these stories. With lots of Alpha males and strong women these stories take the reader on a nice ride. I thoroughly enjoyed this anthology and cannot wait to find some more stories from these authors.

Grimm and Grimmer is a collection of fairy tales told from a modern perspective.

Part of the attraction of the original Grimm Brothers' tales was that of their relevance to their audience, and the tales in this book capture the magic and horror of living in modern times.

Though the settings vary, the talented authors within the cover of this book speak to the mysterious, the unknown and the unknowable, which is not lost in these times.

When I read the description of the book I was hooked. I love fractured tales, or fables and fairy tales that have been altered, and I thought this would be a great read. The editors compiled stories written by numerous authors who retold these stories of old in a new manner. Some were socioeconomically based on haves and have not’s, while others had twisted the stories to meet modern day. Although each story was interesting to read none really made me smirk, grin, laugh, of shudder. In fact, I had to force myself to keep reading each story as I became more disheartened with each story. I believe I would not have felt this way if I had read the book in smaller increments. I think that the stories could even be used in an educational setting to teach high school or collegiate level students about fractured tales (literature) or socioeconomic issues in our world today. They could be used as a commentary on life but not ready for entertainment. I had high hopes for enjoying the stories contained within the eye-catching cover but think that the cover was the most enjoyable part of the book.

River, former alpha female of a wolf pack, has been human for nearly four years and is at last comfortable with her life. She has a new pack—consisting of humans, a couple of fellow werewolves, and a weredeer—and a mate she loves more than anything. She's dealt with a year of high school, made more than her fair share of enemies, and has at last accepted that she'll never again turn back into a wolf.

Her world and newfound peace is shattered, however, when a woman shows up claiming River is her long-lost niece. With no proof to the contrary—as no one believed her werewolf story anyway—River is forced to go with the stranger, far from her family.

Once again ripped from the life she knows and those she loves, River struggles not only with the separation from her pack, but with the questions that arise. How will she get home? Who is responsible for this case of mistaken identity? And, most importantly, what could they possibly gain from it all?

I was immediately put off by the author’s dedication where she states that she would not have finished this book because she hates it. It made me dread going on because if the author hates her own work then where does that leave the reader?

The first couple of chapters were a bit droll and it felt as if the author was not taking the story seriously. As a result, I struggled to take the book seriously and did not become invested until the end of the third chapter. Even though I became interested in the story of the young she-wolf and her pack, the story was quite predictable. Once she was identified and removed from her pack, the mysterious way her friends behaved, the “camp” for others like herself, and the lie that caused it all were unsurprising.

The author, Skyla Dawn Cameron, is a talented writer; however, I felt that I could not take the book as sincerely as perhaps she had intended because of her dedication. I was predisposed to think this was not going to be her best effort. Perhaps she meant it tongue in cheek but it left me, as a new reader, disinterested before I began and struggling to get involved in her characters. Perhaps a little more emoting on the characters behalf and a more heaviness of character would have drawn me in. I would give the author another try because I believe she is capable of a better story.

I was also distracted by the numerous typos throughout the story. Perhaps the editor as well did not take the piece very serious.

I really don't know where to begin this review but to say WOW! You have a heroine, Julie, in need of some tender loving care and help with her self-esteem issues. In walks Gabriel/Gabe, who in just a few months shows her more love and understanding than she has seen her entire life. I couldn't get enough of these two characters. As you read, you can see the transformation in Julie not only on the inside but the outside as well. I don't want to give too much away, but I promise picking up this story will put a smile on your face.

Julie has a best friend, Sheridan, who stands by her through thick and thin. What you truly want in a best friend. I'd love to read her story if the author, Eve Vaughn, writes one. Sheridan is a spunky character that needs to have her own happy ending.

There are a few scenes some people might find offensive. I personally found them to be very hot and steamy.

Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong!

Murphy's Law is known in almost every corner of the world; if not by name, then by experience.

When Trina Sackette's dead ancestors try to rearrange her love life, she encounters Murphy's Law at its worst!

This is a fun, fast and sexy read! Two meddling, spinster ghostly Aunts are trying to outwit a revengeful jilted ghostly ancestor, Murphy, who manages to interfere with the women in the family line so they never get a happy love life. This generation it is Trina’s love life that is the subject of all the mischief!!

Beautiful, independent Trina is generally man shy, quiet and reserved. She hasn’t had the best of luck with guys as something always seems to interfere with getting to a committed relationship. She doesn’t understand it but for some reason whenever she gets near the new apartment manager her libido takes a wild jump!

Jarett is the new live-in complex manager where Trina lives. More importantly he is 6’3”, tanned, muscled and sexy! His first meeting with Trina is a bit comical when he comes to help with plumbing as she has lost a front tooth cap down a drain! This lady looks a bit wild with her gaping smile, unkempt hair and ratty bathrobe. But the glimpses of curvy body he sees are enough to have his mind headed toward a different type of plumbing!

The harder the Aunts try to set Trina up with someone else they consider acceptable, the more trouble Murphy causes and the more he pushes Trina and Jarett together. Trina is a bit klutzy on her own but with the Aunts and Murphy working at odds in her life things really seem to end up topsy-turvy giving Jarett several chances to come to her rescue!

This little story gets steamy very quickly but it is all very fun and sexy! The plot is charming and the characters are very down to earth and likeable. Jarett is one heck of a caring guy as he tries to pursue Trina in a gentlemanly fashion in spite of the fact that every time they see each other it is hard to keep their hands to themselves! This may not be brilliant writing in a profound sense but is wonderful, delightful entertainment!!! If you are looking for a quick, sexy and fun romp – this is a definite pick!

Disguised as a state lottery representative, Shaw enters the Boatwright's home and holds the family hostage, while Romeo patrols the town, staking out the homes of the family's loved ones, should the Boatwrights refuse to comply with their demands. But Shaw isn't your average criminal out to make a quick buck. Instead, he has a grand messianic vision and he'll stop at nothing to see it through — and soon, the Boatwrights find themselves living a Flannery O'Connor American nightmare from which they can't properly awaken.

At once frightening, comic, and suspenseful, RAVENS is a wholly original and utterly compelling novel from one of our most talented writers.

This is a remarkably intense psychological thriller! I would recommend this book for the sheer uniqueness and intensity! If you can wince through the cursing (or if it doesn’t matter to you) then I think you would find this an engaging book! I liked the narrators as they both did a very good job and I liked the male/female rotation.

I loved the premise of the story! Unfortunately, I think it got twisted in this rather twisted story! The book starts out developing the backgrounds of the characters and setting up the plot scenario making you anticipate the next chapters. Initially the threats and the fear that is created are real and taunt. But the manner of controlling the family loses its believability after a bit. You can like the main characters the author has created for their strange and warped thought processes, especially Romeo. But the further the story goes, the less realistic it becomes. Although I acknowledge the existence of the Stockholm Syndrome, and the sickness of a Jim Jones cult Syndrome, the combination here seemed to be stretched beyond believability.

At the beginning I liked the characters of Tara Boatwright, her grandmother, Nell, and her friend, Cleo. But it seems as though the author developed them to a point and then abandoned them without giving them complete fullness. Even Tara’s actions at the end seem more of a gut response than a true act of strength from her personality. That was disappointing. Actually that was part of the problem with the story for me. Midway it seemed to splinter into side stories losing the impact of the initial plot. There were some peripheral scenes that did not add to the book but dragged it a bit.

I have to say that the repeated foul language did reduce my enjoyment in this story. Finally, I was disappointed in the ending! It was certainly one possible ending but I thought it was a weak or hasty choice and I guess it was not the ending I thought would wrap things up! It was a little on the surprising side, rather than predictable, which is a good thing. The suspense and maniacally evil characters that are presented make this a good and interesting read if you are prepared to deal with the language.

When Jayde returns to Hickory Falls to settle her grandmother’s estate she finds a mystery and a destiny she's not sure she wants. It starts with an antique puzzle box with a necklace and a note that only says Beware of the Obsession. It also includes a bakery everyone is anxious to see reopened despite her inability to cook, and a pair of hunky, too-good-to-be-true tenants living in the same building.

Marc and Anthony are lovers waiting on their third to complete them, the Guardian they have sworn to protect. When Jayde finally arrives they are anxious to get her into their bed…until they see the necklace around her neck. It serves a powerful warning to them -- and to her if she knows what it means. Now they have to take things slow, seducing her before they reveal the duty she has been called for.

When the Guardian denies her calling, the protectors will do anything in their power to convince her, but in the end it has to be her choice. Free will is a bitch, but so is their obsession with Jayde.

I’d say roughly half this story is sex; some hot, some not so much. Unfortunately the plot gets lost amongst all the writhing limbs. There is a lot that gets said in this story that is never expanded upon.

It is said, repeatedly, that the necklace causes obsession and chaos, but this is never shown until it is apparently out of control. In part, perhaps, because they never leave the house. Still, the Protectors go on and on about this necklace, but never give any real information. They never explain how it works, why Jayde is the Guardian, what that really entails, why it is important, or anything really. At one point they even mention that they are not human, but nothing more is ever said.

Overall this story treading very close to being porn, which is good it that is what you are looking for.

There are a few scenes some people might find offensive. I felt in order for this story to be told they needed to be written. I'm looking forward reading more of Chloe Waits work in the future. I can't wait to see what issues she tackles next.

A Magic Santa brings Caribbean Christmas Joy

Blurb - Marti Bell is facing the prospect of a very unmerry Christmas. Reluctantly, leaving her married lover she travels toward ice, snow, and judgmental family until a magic Santa sends her to a surprise destination in the warm waters of the Caribbean.

Wherever Island would be a winter paradise except the only place to stay is the beachside cottage of romantic globetrotting photographer Cliff Holmes. Cliff wants to unwind and treat Marti to a little romantic Caribbean Christmas fun but she’s determined to stay in the warm ocean and out of hot water.

Review: With Christmas just right around the corner, this would be a great story to get you in the holiday spirit. Not only is the setting sensational, the hero, Cliff, will sweep you off your feet.

Have you ever wanted to go to an island for Christmas? Well, here is your chance. This is a story of what can happen if one opens themselves up to new experiences.

I'm not one to read many Christmas stories. However, this is one story I can read every Christmas season. Don't worry there are NO scenes that some might find offensive. This is just a great happily ever after story. Please pick it up, I promise you won't be disappointed.

Blurb: Remy Robicheaux didn’t know that when he bought his home, it would
come with a ghost. Anxious to get rid of the spirit, he calls his little
sister’s best friend to help him. Instead of the gawky teenager he once
knew, he finds himself face to face with a temptress.

Ainsley Brennen enjoys being an amateur ghost hunter, but when her high
school crush calls her to help him figure out the strange activity in his
house, her feelings for him are resurrected in a way that makes her knees
weak. In an effort to get to the bottom of the haunting, she discovers
there’s more than one way to provoke a spirit.

Review: I've read Crista McHugh's work before, and it just keeps getting better. I love how she divides her stories into chapters even though it is a short story.

This story involves a spirit with an attitude that brings Ainsley and Remy to a new awareness of what they are missing in their lives. What I enjoyed was some of the role reversal in their attitudes towards sex. You'll just have to read the story to understand what I'm talking about. I don't want to give too much away. Please be advised there are a couple of scenes, some people might find offensive.

I'm so glad I had the opportunity to read Crista McHugh's work again. I look forward to reading more of her work in the future.. Please pick this up, you will enjoy it.

Blurb: Now that Katie's been collared, she's settling quickly into life with her master, Sam. But she thinks she's ready to expand her experiences and he's quick to help. In fact, Sam has a special gift planned that is sure to delight her, if only she can gather the courage to move beyond the past and accept it without regrets.

Special Content Alert: BDSM, F/F/M menage.

Review: I've read other stories about BDSM, yet never with this much explanation into the actual Lifestyle. I was truly impressed with the way Sam handled Katie as his submissive. The level of trust in their relationship was a lot more than I see in most relationships today. The way Katie let Sam guide her with his gift to her was breathtaking.

I have found a new respect for this Lifestyle and understanding. I hope more people will look at this way of living with a new appreciation. Each person needs to make their own judgments on how they want to live their life and not feel guilty about it.

I thoroughly enjoyed my introduction into Dena Celeste's writing. I hope to read more of her work in the future. Please pick up this story, you will not be disappointed.

Blurb: The real estate market is about to heat up. When Brett Jacob walks into Jill's real estate office, she attempts to maintain a professional demeanor, but memories of accidental voyeurism in high school, years of what-if's, and Bret's drop-dead sexy grin only serve to ignite her fantasies. Brett needs a farm for his growing landscape business. When he sees Jill Daniels' picture in a real estate ad, he can't believe his eyes: The shy girl from high school has blossomed into a desirable woman. Ten years ago, she didn't stir his blood and drive away all rational thought; now, he's fighting the urge to take her in his arms long enough to ask her on a first date.

Review: The blurb says it all for this short story. Except, it leaves out how hot the chemistry is between Brett and Jill. I've never had a first date quiet like this one, but I wish I could. If you wear glasses, this will steam up your lenses. If you don't, I promise you will be fanning yourself.

I can't wait to read another one of Lynne Roberts stories. I just wish there had been more dialogue. Picking up this story will not be a disappointment at all. Please be advised some people might find the major scene offensive. I found it exhilarating.

Blurb: Hayden Hunt is a DEA agent and a werewolf. His wolf senses are a blessing when Victoria’s lying to him and a curse when her emotional pain bleeds. Even though he doesn’t know the reckless beauty he's hunting by name, he knows her and he’s determined to keep his mate from her revenge, especially since she doesn’t plan to survive.

Brought together by circumstance, Victoria and Hayden spend their days battling each other and fill their nights with passion as Hayden takes and claims his mate again and again.

But when Victoria discovers that Hayden’s the only survivor of the ambush that killed her dad, she wonders if he’s the mole in the DEA she's been looking for. Hayden will have to prove himself again, if he's going to keep dominating Victoria.

Review: Do you enjoy reading action packed werewolf stories with short quick chapters? If you said yes, you need to add this to your collection of werewolf stories. Victoria and Hayden are truly sexy and stubborn characters that you will fall in love with. There are some surprises along the way with some of the other characters.. Some of the explicit sex scenes could be offensive to some readers. I felt it added to the characters profile.

There were was one character, Blade, who I hope gets his own story. I guess I'll just have to wait and find out. I'm looking forward to reading more of this authors, Kitty DeCane, work in the future. I just hope Blade is in my future reading. Picking up this story will not be a disappointment.
