When his younger brother is summoned to Versailles, Vicomte Frederique de la Tour decides to intervene and takes his place. King Louis's XV court is stunned when instead of a lad, the legendary spy, known to his underworld associates only as The Wolf arrives.
Lady in Waiting Hélène d'Ètoilles' life has been serene: Serve Her Majesty the Queen of France with grace and obedience. Now her life and her sense of self are in turmoil when she discovers she's been gifted to a nobleman for his family's loyalty and years of service. No longer a lady in waiting to the Queen of France, she's thrown into a world of subterfuge and passion, of lust and power.
I loved this book. Intrigue and hot passionate sex, what more could a girl want? Patricia Bates can tell a story. This was a hot and intense story, that left me wanting more. All the characters were well written and I loved that most of the women were strong and independent women. I also liked the little twists in the story. Like who Helene's mother is. I do wish that the fact that she was a spy would have been known earlier or that it would have been a more important part of the plot. It was a great read!

Olivia Martin finds herself thrust through time with a dangerous but sexy pirate, Diego, from the year 1472. Whether fighting Indians on the ancient Florida coast, or battling the future's laser-packing law enforcement, Olivia finds herself drawn to Diego more than anyone she had ever met in her own time. But could she have Diego in her own time? Could she even get back to 2009 at all?
This story is about one hundred pages of blood pumping sex and adventure. Ms. Morgan does a great job putting all the story pieces together. In a short amount of pages she manages to tell this great story of love and the obstacles to overcome. With all the obstacles it has a great outcome. I really enjoyed this book.

Recovering from a bad relationship, Walker comes to Purgatory looking for a place to call home. While he enjoys the casual play, he yearns to make a connection with a submissive for the long-term. The second he lays eyes on beautiful, mysterious Cass at the flogging station, his mind is made up.
Cass enjoys the sense of anonymity Purgatory gives her, and despite her determination to live by her rules she is unable to resist Walker. Can Cass overcome her personal demons to give in completely to the Dom who has her heart, and a mighty strong whip, in his hands?
Walker has come to the club Purgatory to get over a bad relationship. He wants to be around people who accept and care about him as he is no objections or ridicules for his lifestyle. As the time goes by Walker begins to think that he will never find the right woman for him. That is until the day he sees Cass. He finds his instant attraction to her unnerving but he cannot let her just disappear from his life especially after seeing her in a session with fellow Dom Dex.
Cass has her own demons to deal with. Although she is immediately attracted to Walker she is scared to face it or to do anything about it. She has come to the club trying to satisfy her desires but when she sees Walker her world is turned upside down and she must choose. Can she give heart over to another dominant again or will she close herself off forever because of what she has endured in the past?
Having enjoyed the first book in this series I was excited to see this one. Eliza Gayle brings the reader into her captivating world and doesn’t let you go until the very end. Even then she has the reader waiting for another chance to come back and visit her wonderful world. The characters are always full of emotion and depth and this book does not disappoint. Walker is a strong dominant that knows what he is doing and always goes after what he wants. He is a well-rounded character that may be overwhelming at times but also has doubts of his own. Cass is a wounded soul that needs a man like Walker to show her what a real relationship is about.
My only problem with this story was that we did not get the whole story on what happened to Cass to make her unhappy. A little more back-story on Cass would have made this book more interesting and it would help the reader understand her reactions to Walker a bit more. The relationship that builds between these two is a great read. I loved how intense Walker feels and how understanding and patient he is with Cass. She maybe shy about starting a new relationship with Walker but we see that Cass is a strong woman and she begins to bloom again with Walkers help.
TOUCH ME, TEASE ME, WHIP ME is a faced paced hot read that does not disappoint. I cannot wait to read the next installment of the Purgatory series.

Cassie's been touched by an angel -- and found it terrifying.
Defying her fear of heights, Cassie has moved in to the tallest building in town. She’s doing pretty well until a thunderstorm blows an unexpected visitor through her balcony window, and she finds herself nursing a wounded angel back to health.
Tending to the angel's wounds teaches Cassie a lot more than she expected about fear...and about desire.
This was an interesting story. I myself have a fear of heights, though not to Cassie’s extent, so I can understand where she is coming from.
One point I really like about this book is the trouble they have communicating. It is erroneous to assume that another creature, even a being so similar to ourselves, would automatically speak a language we could understand. And, though it takes a while, and some trial and error, they do find a way to understand each other.
While I do find parts of this story a bit on the purple side, I enjoyed it, and highly recommend it.

Disguised as a man to serve with her husband as a soldier in the Confederate Army, Irish immigrant Katie Rose O'Reilly vows to remain in the ranks and seek revenge on Yankees after her husband is killed at Sharpsburg. When she falls and almost drowns in a swollen stream, Southerner Alexander Hart, a Yankee spy, saves Katie from drowning, then nurses her through a resulting fever, keeping his identity secret from the feisty and beautiful Rebel soldier even as he
finds himself falling in love with her.
Can Katie reconcile her loyalties with her love?
This is a very enjoyable “crossed-lovers” Civil War Romance.
I really liked Katie’s very strong Irish character with her “do what has to be done” attitude and determination. She learned to hate the Yankees who ravaged the family farm, killing her in-laws and causing the death of her infant son. When Tom and his brother, Patrick, went off to war to kill the nasty Yankees, she couldn’t remain on the farm alone. She cut her hair short and set out to follow and fight beside her husband and remained after he was killed in battle.
Katie is carrying courier papers for the Confederacy when she is startled by a tall civilian. Alex was raised in the South but became a Yankee spy. Katie and Alex are wary of each other at first, but when he nurses her through her fever, they seem to forget, at least for a while, that they have war duties. I liked Alex’s steadfast love for Katie once he acknowledged that he loved her.
I had some concerns that both characters seemed a bit lax about the important documents they were carrying. I also was surprised that the Confederate officer who wanted to capture Alex, and was willing to threaten and attack Katie, came to the house alone. But he did seem a bit unhinged.
The story action moved well and the presentation of the war camp and hospital was interesting. The writing flowed smoothly. I liked the way the romance developed between Katie and Alex. The conflicting emotions they each face make this an engaging story. If you like a romance wrapped in the conflicts of the Civil War you will definitely enjoy this book!

Mordavia is a land of magic and wonder. From the Tower of Wardrick, where the Guardians use their ancient magic and mysterious secrets to protect the kingdom, to the barrens of Scrag Fang, the land is a heaven to some and a hell to those who will stop at nothing to conquer it.
Melisha Nightsbane, the second in command of the Guardians of Wardrick, has held everything in her hands at one time, even true love, until it was ripped from her grasp and heart two years ago. But when Patyn Brighthand, the man who broke her heart returns on a mission to save the world, she finds herself on the adventure of her life. One that will reveal secrets that will change history and her heart, forever.
This book is not bad. It has well rounded characters, a smooth plot, and an interesting twist. The problem is that it just is not exciting. There is not enough time given to the build up of a tension, neither between the characters or in the over all plot. Furthermore, there is a lot that happens in exposition, and it is always better to show than to tell.
Overall, I think this book simply suffers from being too short.

Kane already has his suspicions and plans on removing Bethany from the picture. That is until he meets her face to face and realizes he has feelings for her. The sexual tension between the two makes for a hot read. Will they finally act upon it before it is too late or will Bethany and Kane loose their chance for a happy ending?

Nell, an out-of-work professional submissive, is desperate to find a job when she meets handsome film star Jeremy Gray at the restaurant where she works. He says he needs a personal assistant, but the work contract he shows her details not organizational duties, but sexual ones. Jobless and homeless, Nell agrees to work for him anyway, on the promise that he will pay for her to finish her college degree when her stint as his “assistant” is complete.
The start of their formal Dom/sub relationship is rocky, but they soon fall into a mutually satisfying, highly sexual routine. They play vanilla boyfriend and girlfriend in public, while Jeremy uses Nell as his kinky comfort object behind the scenes. Then a stalker threatens their secret lifestyle, and their contract may not be strong enough to hold them together.
Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, strong BDSM theme and content (including/not limited to spanking), dubious consent, exhibitionism, ménage (m/f/m), moresome (m/f/m/f with f/f interaction), multiple partners, voyeurism
Honestly, I found this book a bit on the depressing side. They spend an awful lot of time lashing out at each other for no other reason then they seem incapable of sitting down and having a rational conversation. I understand that this is part of one character’s personality, but it still bothers me.
The stalker is another sticking point for me. I really don’t like it when one character feels another has no right to be told about a threat. Largely, because it is a cop out. By not telling Nell about the threat the stalker posed, she is absolved of any responsibility for her own safety. So she can do something like let the threat in the front door.
The sex in this story is hot and heavy on the SM. Unfortunately, its not very realistic. If they were “playing” as hard and as often as this story depicts, she would be constant bruised, probably to the point of not being able to walk, much less “play.”
Overall, this is a good story, and I’d recommend it. There is just a bit too much false drama for my taste.

Seraphina—"Sera"—Jones won the vacation of a lifetime: an all-expenses-paid trip to the Pleasure Planet, a place where her every desire will be fulfilled. No one will give a damn about her curves, her mocha skin, or her crazy sexual fantasies. Sera and her sister are all set to enjoy her good luck until a pair of pirate hotties that look at her like she’s their own personal fantasy hijacks their ship.
Ace and Ryas are space pirates out to do a quick jack and run. Simple. Get in, ransom the cargo, and get out before getting caught. One look at Sera and they know they'll be taking on more booty than they planned. Hers. But now Ace and Ryas will have to prove if they are strong enough to keep the treasure they’ve found.
I did not like this novella. I felt confused from the first paragraph as the characters were barely introduced when new characters came into play and were not distinguished from each other enough to figure out what was going on. The main character and her sister are the two main females and the two pirates were the two main males, seems simple. However, the author switched back and forth so much and uses pronouns too freely to keep track of which he or she was being discussed, thought about, or what each one was doing. The story was all over the place. I really would not recommend this to anyone unless they just want to read about sex and violence toward women. Not a fan myself.

Megan McCormick certainly hadn’t left Atlanta for the small mountain town of Laurel Crest looking for love. Far from it. She was running from her past and a broken heart when she was knocked over by the incredibly handsome veterinarian, Lee Grainger.
Tired of the fast-paced life of the city, Lee is considering a permanent move to the mountains. His run-in with Megan has him believing he's there for more than a partnership in an animal hospital.
After a case of mistaken identity is cleared up, Megan and Lee strike up a friendship. Lee is everything Megan ever wanted--smart, loyal and dedicated to his faith. But Megan has experienced deep betrayal twice. Can she come to terms with the secret that haunts her, get past her distrust of men and accept the love Lee offers?
I so enjoyed reading Lesa Henderson’s Someone to Trust I could not stop until I finished the story. Her main character, Megan, was believable as an innocent wronged trying to find redemption for her sins. I was able to relate to the characters on a personal level and there were times my heart was in my throat as I could picture myself in her shoes. I was even able to envision people I know in place of her characters. I know people like those she created to tell this story. Someone to Trust is a warm, funny, human story that I believe everyone can relate to and enjoy. The fact that this book is Christian fiction only adds to the human essence of the story, how we sin and how we can be forgiven.

A secret buried for centuries
Thrust onto Egypt's most powerful throne at the age of nine, King Tut's reign was fiercely debated from the outset. Behind the palace's veil of prosperity, bitter rivalries and jealousy flourished among the Boy King's most trusted advisors, and after only nine years, King Tut suddenly perished, his name purged from Egyptian history. To this day, his death remains shrouded in controversy.
The keys to an unsolved mystery
Enchanted by the ruler's tragic story and hoping to unlock the answers to the 3,000 year-old mystery, Howard Carter made it his life's mission to uncover the pharaoh's hidden tomb. He began his search in 1907, but encountered countless setbacks and dead-ends before he finally, uncovered the long-lost crypt.
The clues point to murder
Now, in The Murder of King Tut, James Patterson and Martin Dugard dig through stacks of evidence--X-rays, Carter's files, forensic clues, and stories told through the ages--to arrive at their own account of King Tut's life and death. The result is an exhilarating true crime tale of intrigue, passion, and betrayal that casts fresh light on the oldest mystery of all.
James Patterson and Martin Dugard join together to discover and speculate for themselves the mystery surrounding the boy king's birth, life and death in Ancient Egypt, by gathering evidence in Carter's find and personal journals and history itself. As usual, Patterson weaves and intriguing tale of murder, betrayal and lust, giving us a different picture of Tutankahmen's life. Told in his short chapter style, the reader is wisked from Ancient Egypt to Carter's Egypt and England, and even to the present with Patterson's personal outlook. Tut and Anka come alive through the vivid imagery written throughout the book and the depth of emotion they are portrayed to feel for one another. I was impressed by the quality of the research involved to create the book. If you like history, you'll like Patterson's take on the old mystery. My only complaint is the genre. I feel it should be classified as fiction because the authors' speculations are researched assumptions, not entirely actual fact until proven otherwise. Still one you gotta read.

Aimee would send him on his way, if her sister weren’t so concerned about the break in at her house, and if she hadn’t threatened protective custody. But protective custody might have been slightly less overwhelming than Trace demanding her complete capitulation, mind and body, and more -- her total trust. Review: First let me tell our readers, this is not a romance novel. It is more about Paris Smith coming to terms with the industry he is in and accepting himself and all his flaws.
When I first started reading, I was kind of lost. Not truly understanding the financial world and the terminology they use. However, the further I progressed the more I came to understand Paris Smith's life.
What I took away from this book is how underhanded and manipulating the world of finance can be. There were times I was truly frustrated with the predicament Paris was in. I kept wanting the men in the industry to see him as a person not just a number. I know now I'm glad I don't work in this type of industry. For me, there was too much of a gap between doing what was right and justifying an end to a means. In the book, it says it's just business. I just don't see it.
I am recommending this book to all our readers. It is an eye opening book to the world finance. I'd definitely like to read more of F.W. vom Scheidt's work in the future. He has opened me up to a new way of looking at our financial markets and the human beings who run it.

Traia is a mistress witch, seduced by a werewolf that inexplicably passed through her wards and shields. Now that she knows what Galen is, he’ll stop at nothing to kill her. Or will he?
If she was any other witch, Galen would be running the other way...fast. But Traia is his mate. The Goddess has made Traia’s magick useless against him and him as safe as a puppy with her. She can’t use her magick, but Traia can use mortal weapons. Unless Galen can bind her to him by the end of the night, he may end up fur cuffs on her ceremonial robes.
Werewolf Galen discovers his true mate is a witch with attitude. Traia is anything but delighted to have a werewolf knocking down her door, especially one immune to her magic. Galen is determined to win her over, but it may take more than persuation and a little help from the goddess to win her heart. Ms. Lyons creates a magical, but dark, world filled with rich characters and setting. Though it was short at just twenty three pages, I felt she did an excellent job of endearing her wolf and witch to the readers from the beginning. A great read.

Sarcastic Elanor may have found her match in Adymn, the brooding half-man and half-dragon. After murdering her family, Adymn kidnaps Elanor and takes her to Dargona Island. He calls her Rat, makes her cook, attend to the other dragons, and scrub feces off the cave walls. Elanor swears she hates him and vows to one day avenge her family's death. Her chance comes all too suddenly when Adymn demands she accompany him to Trana and pose as his wife so he can gain access to the royal court. She knows enough not to trust him, but while escape sounds all too tempting, Elanor can't help but feel Adymn is hiding a disturbing secret about his real agenda.
I never know what to expect when I see a title of a book, especially one with the title Rat. Well, Melody Tink does a great job story telling. Elanor(Rat) is such a well rounded character who grows throughout the entire story. I was grateful that she saves Adymn and the king. Adymn is the hunky man Elanor falls in love with, and for the longest time Elanor thinks he is a rogue dragon. Really he is a good dragon, trying to stop the rogues. Two rogues turn out to be sisters, and that whole plot line was awesome! Melody just packed this story with all kinds of twists and turns and little plot additions.

A disillusioned cop, and a bitter woman. Can a little girl take the bah-humbug out of their holiday?
Holly Harper has hated Christmas for years. The season full of commercialism has left her feeling cold and bitter. When she finds a little girl freezing and alone she feels warmth spark in her heart. She's determined to keep the child until Christmas is over.
Jaxon Cole is a police detective whose Christmas spirit left a long time ago. He knows the season brings an increase in drunk driving accidents and suicides. But when a dark haired woman shows up in his office with a little waif in tow he sees that there is some good in the holiday.
Will they find joy in the season or will their hearts be as cold as the winter winds?
This is a charming story of Christmas magic breaking through the barriers of two hearts! It is a very short novella that can be read in one sitting.
Holly is afraid to get close to anyone as she is convinced that they will leave her alone and heartbroken. Yet she can’t seem to resist helping little Noella who has suddenly appeared at her house!
Jax is frustrated and disgruntled by his job and the miseries he sees around him. He expects trouble during the Christmas rush but doesn’t expect to have to help a pretty woman with a waif of a child! I liked how Jax warmed to Holly and Noella and how he was patient when he had to be.
I liked how the author had Holly coax Noella to tell her name and answer a few questions. Although Noella exhibits some sheer joy at the kindnesses shown her and some natural exuberance, there is a sense of sadness too. Where did Noella come from and what will happen to her? You might be surprised! I hope you will read this and find the magic and joy yourself! I will look for longer stories from this author based upon the fine characters and plot presented in this short story.

The youngest of four daughters, April Sennett wasn’t the son her farmer parents wanted and needed. Her father’s crippling accident compels her to return home and shoulder the arduous farm work under his vitriolic supervision. Her mother’s belated affection helps sustain her, but neighboring farmer Dan Clayton must often be called to April’s aid. She doesn’t know why he’s so willing to help her irreligious family—April’s father has spent years ridiculing the “Holy Claytons” for their deep-seated Christianity.
Dan’s gentle ways capture April’s heart, but it’s only after she falls in love with him that she discovers his engagement to a vivacious Christian girl. Reading the Bible only confirms April’s unworthiness for Dan. Can God take an impossible situation and give April her heart’s desire, or is she destined to a lonely life of working herself to exhaustion to save her father’s farm?
This is an absolutely beautiful inspirational story. I loved this from beginning to end! I pretty much read it in two sittings!
I liked April’s devotion and her determination to do the right things even from a non Christian perspective. She has completed college and started a library assistant job that she really likes. But when her father suffers a horrible accident and needs help, April begrudgingly returns home to help run the family farm. She struggles with her anger at her sisters, and even at her parents who have never shown warm affection. She also struggles with her growing affection for handsome neighbor Dan Clayton who comes to help out. Then she learns that he is engaged to a perky, pretty Christian girl and it looks like there will be little sunshine in April’s future. How is she to cope with the bleakness she faces?
Dan is only too glad to help and he is happy to be around April. Unfortunately Dan has never been able to pursue a relationship with April because she is not a Christian. Yet he is anxious to be there to provide a shoulder for her to cry on, a listening ear and the brawn to help with the heavy chores. He consistently shows his Christian strength of character to April and her family, not just talking the right way but living the right way and showing his trust in God’s faithfulness to fulfill His purposes.
This story is full of beautiful messages of purity, forgiveness, acceptance, even salvation. They are blended into the plot and character relationships just as they could be in real life! There are hardships, joys and blessings throughout. The writing is light and smooth making this an easy, quick and completely enjoyable read. If you enjoy a sweet romance with clear Christian messages this is a Gotta read!

Twenty-five years ago, Gwen Nicholson-Nelson was in a car accident that almost claimed her life and left behind a strange gift. She can see the future, and death, before it comes to pass. She had a vision of her husband's death ten years before it happened in, for Gwen, chilling deja vu. During this time, she's also had a disturbing connection with another like her, a psychic who has the power to not only see into others but to manipulate and destroy.
For twenty-five years, as seemingly unrelated events convince Gwen she has no power of her own beyond bizarre sight, she's wondered why she was given the ability to see pain and death yet never to alleviate it. But when her nemesis targets Dylan Mitchell, the man she loves, and his daughter, all the pieces of the puzzle that have tormented her fall into place. Gwen must discover her own power, believe in herself and her destiny, and act--before her vision of Dylan's death comes to pass.
This is a striking paranormal romance with its own unique twists!
Gwen really fights her “accursed” gift. She does not want to know the future of others and she does not want to manipulate others by using the gift. Yet she does use her gift a bit in her counseling job and is able to sense an evil presence but she doesn’t know how to fight “the other.” Gwen has remained in personal isolation, other than her wonderful daughter, and her work, since the death of her first husband, Tommie. She is too afraid to reach out and risk living fully.
Dylan has loved Gwen since before she married. Dylan’s own troubles caused him to lose the chance to be with Gwen in the past. Now, finally he is getting the chance to write Tommie’s story, but more importantly he is getting another chance with Gwen. He is willing to try anything and knows he has to be patient to give Gwen time to recognize the love they could share.
While Gwen struggles to fight her attraction to Dylan, she becomes increasingly aware of the evil presence that seems to be stalking people she knows. Dylan’s daughter Randa becomes a key to the evil that haunts Gwen and has a surprising connection to Dylan’s past.
The dark mystery threads through the story until it comes to a head near the end with fast paced confrontation and action! There is also a wonderful conflict and love - that good old push and pull - between Gwen and Dylan, complete with some paranormal or mystical elements.
The story flows well although I did want to push Gwen to realize she only existed in a half life because she wouldn’t take the chance to love and share a life with Dylan. I also wanted to push Dylan a bit to pay better attention to his 17 year old daughter and the troubles she was expressing, by behavior if not verbally. So - they are flawed characters which make them realistic!
Ms. Wiesner has a distinct talent for telling an emotional and suspenseful story. I applaud her for writing consistently engaging romance that is “need” to read quality!

Science fiction geek Lydia Neal's just recovering from her latest relationship crash and burn. When she wakes up in a glowing cave surrounded by enormous dragons, she's pretty sure she's having a sci-fi nightmare. Why would an entire race of shape-shifters be lusting after her? She doesn’t even believe they're real, but why is she so incredibly turned on? Then she meets the smoking hot Draca, Eremon, and there's no turning back. Especially after he shows her the very special kind of ecstasy a Draca male can offer her, whether on the ground or in the skies.
Whatever the obsessed Draca want from her, she's ready to find out. For once in her ordered, boring life, Lydia's going along for the wildest ride of her life...with Eremon and the rest of the Draca.
Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play, group sex/moresome, same-sex interaction/practices (f/f), sex in shifted form.
This is one of those stories that needs focus. It is never very clear, even in the end, what exactly is going on or why the Draca need Lydia. Something about healing that is never really explained.
As for the sex, it is not what I would consider hot. A lot of euphemisms are used, often to not the best of effect. Several times I was thrown out of the story because I had to go back and reread lines so they would make sense.
Overall this book is just okay.

When he breaks up with his controlling ex, sci fi novelist Bradford Thorne heads for the high country to work on his new novel. Specifically, he finds sanctuary at a horse ranch that breeds pintos.
Ranch owner Sheelinn MacNamara's a puca on the run from Hunters. Shapeshifting Linn can turn into a black stallion or a black wolf, but his secret keeps him from finding love.
Neither of them is anticipating the effect the other has on their libido, or on Bradford's ex, Victor. They're not looking for love, but it's hard to hide from the heart in high country.
High Country is a homoerotic piece that incorporates the paranormal. Normally, I do not review this genre: LGBT or Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, but I decided to give it a try. Although the premise of the novel is sound the story felt very choppy to me. I was hoping for a little more development of the relationship before the main characters bedded. Linn, the rancher, was hesitant to begin a relationship because of his secrets but really didn’t fight his urges. I would have been able to relate a little more to his character if he had to overcome a personal battle that took longer than a couple of hours a few off-color jokes. Brad came across as a bit whorish as his personal demons were only recently removed from his life, or so he thought, and he immediately jumped the bones of the nearest hot guy. Since this is the first LGBT I have read, maybe I am being too critical in looking for more substantial pre-sex relationship development. It was hard for me to believe two people could fall in love after having repeated sex for four days. I did not enjoy the book.

At a time when animal species are becoming extinct on every continent and we are confronted with bad news about the environment nearly every day, Jane Goodall, one of the world's most renowned scientists, brings us inspiring news about the future of the animal kingdom. With the insatiable curiosity and conversational prose that have made her a bestselling author, Goodall-along with Cincinnati Zoo Director Thane Maynard-shares fascinating survival stories about the American Crocodile, the California Condor, the Black-Footed Ferret, and more; all formerly endangered species and species once on the verge of extinction whose populations are now being regenerated.
Interweaving her own first-hand experiences in the field with the compelling research of premier scientists, Goodall illuminates the heroic efforts of dedicated environmentalists and the truly critical need to protect the habitats of these beloved species. At once a celebration of the animal kingdom and a passionate call to arms, HOPE FOR ANIMALS THEIR WORLD presents an uplifting, hopeful message for the future of animal-human coexistence.
We always hear about all the animals that are going extinct by the minute but no one seems to talk about the animals and vegetation that has made its comeback from near extinction. In this book Jane Goodall and others have collected firsthand knowledge of people who have helped these creatures and foliage of our world make their way back. With many wonderful people there are numerous species being brought back from near extinction and even some animals and trees that have not been seen in hundreds of years. From the black footed ferret to the species of trees that has been around from the prehistoric age.
Being a big supporter of animal and environmental welfare I enjoyed this book immensely. Jane Goodall may be mostly known for her time living with the chimpanzees but she has done much more for our planet. It was great to listen to her talk about all of the people who care as much as her for the many species that are dying. Caring enough to do something about it, from volunteering to studying and nurturing the animals and foliage to bring them back to what they once were. This is a long audio book. 11 cds in all, not a quick listen but a great one if you are interested in hearing all the good that comes from the hard work done by these special people. As you listen to the stories of these dedicated people restoring habitats and helping in any way that they can to restore the earth to what it once was the listener finds hope. Hope that we as humans still can and do care about the world we live in.
This audio book comes with a special bonus pdf, which includes photos and resources as well as a section titled “What You Can Do”. Not only do you get to listen and see just what these generous and heartfelt people do it gives you ideas to help you do your own things to help our world and those that live in it.

Darroc MacConacher spends sleepless nights dreaming of a raven-haired beauty who makes him ache with desire. Then his dream comes true: the lady with her lush curves and fair skin appears shipwrecked on his shores. Darroc is immediately drawn to her strength and beauty, and from the moment she lays eyes on this powerful, broad-shouldered warrior, Lady Arabella MacKenzie knows she'll never want another man.
But theirs is a forbidden love. The MacKenzies drove the MacConachers from their lands and destroyed their honor. Now, Darroc can use this sapphire-eyed seductress to shatter his foes. Yet how can he deny the passion that burns between him and Arabella, and ruin the one woman who touches his very soul?
Having read Duncan MacKenzie’s story I was thrilled to find that his daughter had one of her very own. Arabella MacKenzie grows weary of her father scaring all and any potential suitors away. As she watches her sister marry and blossom with child Arabella takes matters into her own hands. She decides on an adventure to see the Seal Isles but she does not make it to her beloved Isles. Arabella’s ship is attacked and Darroc MacConacher the leader of the very clan that the Mackenzie’s are feuding with rescues her from sure death.
Darroc and Arabella’s attraction is an instant one. Once Darroc realizes who she is he knows he must fight the attraction he has for Arabella. Add in a ghost, meddlesome clansmen, and superstition and the mayhem begins. Arabella has won over everyone in the MacConacher castle but one. It seems that Darroc is bound and determined to keep them apart. Can love prove stronger than hate? Will they deny themselves or deny the feud between the two clans and let love take its course?
Arabella proves to be a great woman. She loves wholeheartedly and is full of spirit and who could not love the brooding Darroc. He is a warrior with the heart of gold. The bond of love that grows between these two is a wonder to read. As the two seem to have everything going against them they fight to prevail and the reader is along for the ride to cheer them on.
A beautiful story set in the great land of Scotland. Sue-Ellen Welfonder weaves an enchanting tale full of great imagery. Her characters are full of depth and emotion. I truly enjoyed this book and am eagerly awaiting the next in this series. A Highlander’s Temptation is a wonderful book that should not be missed.

Balin Renforth has served the Guardians loyally for six hundred years, protecting innocents from vampire scum like Fitch Galloway. But he cannot deny the nagging familiarity Fitch inspires, any more than he can deny the irresistible curiosity stirred by the other man.
Fitch Galloway recognizes Balin immediately, though he never knew of the man’s ties to the magical Ancient Fae which gave him the powers he used to transport them to the outer limits. The Guardian has clearly grown a stick up his ass, yet Fitch cannot deny that saving him more than six hundred years ago was the best thing he ever did, and Balin has become an honorable man he cannot help but feel proud of. But that's not the only feeling the handsome Guardian stirs in Fitch...
Or in Gladiolas. If it weren’t for her painful addiction, freed Palace slave Gladiolas would think she’d died and gone to heaven. Finding herself in a remote castle prison with two drop-dead sexy men is like a dream come true. They’re both so fiercely protective it feels like she is no longer slave, but master. Now if only she can get them to stop fighting, and start loving...
During the siege on a vampire palace, Balin tries to rescue palace slave Gladiolis from being raped and killed by a demon. He inadvertently transports she, himself, and vampire Fitch to the "outer limits" which was used as a protective prison for a long dead troublesome vampire. They soon find escape will be difficult if not impossible and not just from their gilded cage.
This book actually takes place in modern times, but with the castle prison of the outer limits it seems as though the characters are actually several hundred years in the past. Well written characters are a major factor in the story. Full of emotion, Gladiolis, Balin and Fitch carry the story themselves rather than the underlying plot. The author spared no expense with rich imagery needed to make the reader see the world of outer limits. Scorching hot Guardian's Realm: The Collision is a great book and one you need to read.

Each of these stories are intertwined yet unique in the issues they deal with. Not only are these love stories, they show characters who grow, learn from past mistakes, and even to accept themselves for who they are.
Susan Lyons is a talented storyteller with a voice like no other author. Her characters will touch not only your heart but your soul too.
In 'War of the Sexes', Sarah and Free act like they want to kill each other at times. The sparks fly from the moment they meet. What got me about these two is their differences in what marriage is all about. They have very different opinions. Will this derail their budding relationship? Read to find out.
In 'Sex With the Proper Stranger', Tamiko and Ric are attracted to each other from the moment their eyes meet. This story was near and dear to my heart. It brings up an issue of abuse in Tamiko's past that will have you cheering for her to let the past go. Ric is not only a patient lover but compassionate and understanding through it all. I will warn you. You might want a Kleenex handy for this story.
In 'Sexy Exes', Giovanna and James have been divorced for quit a few years and can not get along at all. Will they come to blows or will the sexual chemistry they feel for each other spark a fling or a true relationship? You won't be disappointed with these two. I think they finally grow up.
There is another couple, Ellie and Bill, who you will see throughout the story. They reminded me of my grandparents. They show the true meaning of a loving and lasting relationship.

A contemporary tale of tender relationships, mayhem and mercy. Moonglade is a compelling romantic suspense story. Clare and Remi's attraction grows from the first interrogation, but seems unlikely when the investigation turns into a homicide. You will be cheering the love match on as the mystery unfolds in this suspenseful tale which straddles the genres of cozy mystery and sweet romance.
'Moonglade' is the second book in the Maine Shore Chronicles. After reading this, you'll wani to pick up the first book in the series. I know I do.
Most people who read my reviews know I love quick short chapters. This definitely fits the bill. The writing and characters remind me of a Mary Higgins Clark book.
The characters, Remi and Clare, are thrown together because of the investigation. Yet, their relationship tends to take a backseat due to the twists and turns of uncovering who is responsible for the death of Jane Doe. The secondary characters not only help the investigation. They help bring the story to life and keep the story flowing in a sweet and helpful way for Remi and Clare. I personally was captivated by Clare's mom, Tante Margaret. She is a feisty older woman, who reminded me of my grandmother.
I also loved the influence of the French language that is used sporadically through the story. It gave the story a touch of romance.
I hope there are more books to follow in this series. They will definitely be kept on my keeper shelf. Please pick up this book when it is released, you won't be disappointed.

A murderous bandit threatens to destroy them both.
RuthAnne Newcomb, a young widow starting over, nearly dies on the perilous winding road to Tucson, Arizona in 1876. The accident is a cover-up for a heinous crime at the hand of the murderous bandit El Tejano. Robbed and left for dead, all that remains for RuthAnne is her faith and her God-given talents. She needs both to endure the handsome, vengeful cavalry captain who saves her life.
Captain Bowen Shepherd offers aid in exchange for information leading to the criminal's capture. El Tejano is bound to strike again, likely against the only living witness to his crimes.
Bowen and RuthAnne must work together and risk everything to unmask the bandit. Will their newfound love, or their lives, be the cost of bringing a murderer to justice?
This is a very enjoyable western historical! It has likeable characters and an engaging plot.
RuthAnne is a very resourceful young widow. She manages to escape from the terrifying bandit although her sister is badly injured in the process. They are rescued by Captain Shepard and taken to a mission to get healing help for her little sister. Rather than stay idle, RuthAnne commits herself to working at the nearby Army fort as a laundress. The work is heavy and hard on the hands, but she jumps in cheerfully and goes the extra mile garnering the admiration and respect of the soldiers. She also serves as a “doctor” to the injured cavalrymen and designs and modifies dresses for almost all the ladies on the base. It was hard to figure out when she got time to rest as busy as she was! I liked that RuthAnne steadfastly trusts that God will take care of her throughout the troubles she faces.
Captain Bowen Shepard is one of those soldiers who is “married” to the military. He once dreamed of finding a life/soul mate, but that was when he was young and innocent. Now he has blood on his hands and doesn’t believe he could ever find a mate to follow him in his army career. Bowen also gave up trusting God because he believes his past actions are too bad to be forgiven.
The author does a good job of blending details of the rugged hardships of army camp life with the action of hunting down the bandit. There are numerous unique supporting characters that add depth and reality to the story and the Arizona scenery is described with great beauty.
The only draw back that I had with the book is that RuthAnne is almost super human. I did like her character and her faith. I also liked Bowen and his slow shift to acceptance of his right to be less than perfect and to maybe have a life mate! All in all this was a wonderful story with a warm, lovely and sweet romance. You Need to read and enjoy this!

Some dark secrets are best left buried.
Dr. Arliss Pardot doesn’t remember her childhood. All that remains is a fear of birds, and a birth mother locked away in a mental institution.

Secrets rule the small town of Morgantown. What lurks in men's hearts and in the black hills of North Carolina will shake the citizens down to their sleepy roots. After her institutionalized birth mother dies Arliss returns to her hometown to get answers. She will learn what it means to be a Watcher and the cost may be more than she can bear.
Set in the author's hometown, there is no lack of realism to this story. Told with eerie imagery and knowledge of the people and place of Morgantown, North Carolina, the black hills come alive with Ms.Hutchins innate story telling talent. Terrfyingly chilling, read it with the lights on.

After vampire Lukoran first tastes Shauna, he induces an obsessive desire in her to be tasted again. To again feel that exquisitely pleasurable pain. Like an addict, she will crave it until it consumes her and she loses her freedom. Maybe even her life.
Although she's felt the touch of many other vampires, no one can satisfy her never-ending craving as only the giver of the first bite can. That’s why she’s tracked down Lukoran tonight. She’ll rid herself of his hold over her—even if she has to kill him.
Chosen is a very interesting little novella, a quick read that will fill time and provide endless moments of entertainment while doing so. The story is has a great plot, extremely well-developed characters, and nicely paced dialogue. If it were not for the length, I would consider Chosen far superior to many of the lengthy “novels” currently being published. To say I was disappointed when it ended, is certainly true, I was hoping for more time with these characters and would love to see them again. If this is an example of her talent, I am looking forward to reading other works from Ms. Daniels.

Recession-stressed, out-of-work, recently evicted CEO Morgan James needs a job and has absolutely no chance of getting one, since Wall Street uses her as their scapegoat when the market crashes.
Financial mogul Donathon Cannon has more personal reasons to hate her but is more than willing to give her a job – if she wins the position by competing in a reality tv show for a chance to be his personal assistant.
But his plan come tumbling down when he realizes they are more alike than he’d ever want to admit. And when he decides to punish her in private, he'll have to keep his dominant streak - and his heart - from crossing the line.
First, let me say this story will definitely push your buttons and boundaries. The two main characters, Morgan and Donathon, will have you questioning the choices and the actions they take. Donathon not only wants to punish Morgan for her past mistakes but humiliate her. He is arrogant, controlling, condescending, and yet shows signs of compassion for the things he makes Morgan do. What got me was the way Morgan allowed herself to be dominated.
There are several secondary characters. The one who sticks out the most is Sierra. She is a true friend for Morgan to lean on.
There are certain scenes some people might find objectionable. Please understand once you get to the end of the story, Morgan and Donathons' actions will become clear or at least clearer. Reading this story made me question some of the things I sound taboo. Which in my mind, this makes it an exceptional book to read.
I would definitely like to read more of Roxy Harte's work and see what other boundaries she will have me questioning. Please pick up this book, you won't be disappointed.
