When we thought nothing could be more hilarious than Harriet Ruby’s tour director adventures in Morocco [All For A Dead Man’s Leg],she’s back again in Italy with a new tour group and another gripping mystery to solve.

Harriet is conducting a custom tour for fourteen members of an Italian-American family. The family matriarch is on a quest to find the unknown location of her mother's grave so she can bury her brother's cremated ashes. Will has one of the family members under surveillance as a suspect in an assassination plot.

Charming the matriarch, Will coaxes an invitation to travel with the tour. The quirky family members, including four unruly teenagers and a pet green tree python named Fluffy, sweep through Italy leaving chaos, hilarity and danger in their wake.

Travel with them on their fast-paced romantic romp through Italy in pursuit of a lost grave, an assassin, and a healing and once-in-a-lifetime love.

Absolutely hilarious! I love Ms. Siracusa's misadventures featuring Harriet Ruby and the charming man of her dreams or is it her nightmares lol. Adventure Seekers Travel is off to Italy guiding a tour of fourteen, an Italian-American family eagar to discover their roots and secretly return their patriarch to his homeland. Of course Will is 'watching' someone connected to Harriet's tour and so charms his way back into his previous place as assistant guide. Just where are the patriarch's ashes anyway? You'll have to read it to find out.

Things go from bad to worse for Harriet, beginning with a fight for cigars in Customs. Will and Harriet's liasons have heated considerably adding to the danger and suspense of the book. If you enjoyed All for a Dead Man's Leg you're going to love All for a Fistful of Ashes. Ms. Siracusa is one author to put on your automatic 'to buy' list. This book has it all and I'm pleased to give it a 'you gotta read'. Thanks for an awesome story and I look forward to the next one.

It is a story of unspeakable tragedy and loss, but also of abiding love and even joy. With its astonishing force, THE LOVELY BONES has captured the hearts of millions of readers around the world.

At fourteen while walking home during the cold Autumn weather, Susie Salmon goes missing and is raped and murdered by the strange neighborhood recluse George Harvey. While her family, schoolmates, and the police search fruitlessly for her, the Gilbert's dog finds her elbow and the reallization that Susie is never coming back begins to settle into her small town. Questions are rampant as the community tries to drag itself back from the tragedy, while Susie watches her family and friends from her Heaven.

From Susie's point of view we are given omnificent views from each individual character. Susie almost becomes them, while staying a separate entity. Her family's grief, her father's obsession with finding her killer, and the destruction of her family becomes something both watched and experienced. I don't believe I've ever read a book told in quite this way before. Ms. Sebold handles the difficult situations with care, showing Susie's murder delicately as possible without omitting the horror from her readers. Her writing flows off the page into the hearts of her audience, leaving joy and hope to replace grief and fear. The author's emotional attachment to her characters is evident in the way she reads her work. This book certainly deserves a you gotta read.

Two killers in one town--one of them has got to go.

Meet Ben. After a lifetime of abuse, he’s hopelessly psychotic. His best friend is a sock monkey. But he wants to change.

Meet Louis. He’s a charming sociopath rapidly becoming obsessed with his newest competition. He’s just discovered Ben’s in his town--and he doesn’t want to share.

Warning, graphic sex, violence and rape.

I don’t say this often, but Wow. Just wow. This is one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. It is full of action and suspense. Through the eyes of Ben and Louis the reader gets the peer into the mind of two very different and very sick men. One is at war with the world, and one is at war with himself. Each is trying to deal with the world around them in their own way.

This book is just exciting, and in it’s own way, insightful on human nature. It explores, without glossing over, the depths of addiction and fear and pain. It speaks to the part of all of us that we feel is broken, the side of our nature that we don’t want to acknowledge. It also reminds us that, while a tiger may not be able to change his stripes, he can look at them from a different angle.

Overall this is a fantastic book and I recommend it to everyone, with the small provision to heed the above warning.

A bitter heiress refuses to trust man or God...until a faithful veterinarian challenges her beliefs. Determined to keep her heart safe
from betrayal, Rebecca denies both God and the man who calls to her, certain his love can never be true enough to bring her back to her faith and a future with him. Adam is equally entranced, but Rebecca’s denial of faith proves a deterrent to pursuing a relationship with her. But now that Rebecca has taken a job in Adam’s animal clinic, an attraction that neither one believes can work begins to grow.

This is a very sweet story of persistent faith and love set in Virginia in 1930.

Rebecca was led on by a sophisticated man and was hurt when she discovered he was after her inheritance. She lost her faith in God and blamed Him for allowing her to get drawn in by a con man. Rebecca has basically hidden away in her home for a year. Just as she decides to come out of hiding she meets a new stranger. She is instantly attracted to Adam but doesn’t trust any man to be honest and faithful.

Adam is a hardworking, down to earth veterinarian who decides to purchase an elderly vets practice in the town where Rebecca lives. He talks Rebecca into serving as a receptionist for him and even gets her to help him treat some of the animals. Adam is steadfast in his worship and he realizes that he can not become involved with Rebecca if she does not renew her faith in God.

I really liked the gentleness and tenderness exhibited in this story. The author was able to capture the gentler feel of a small community with a quieter pace of life than we live in now. There are nice secondary characters and some injured animals to learn about. Rebecca has to work through her anger with God, some jealousy and her own injury to get to a resolution. The story presents a fast read and it has a lovely message of acceptance and self worth that makes this a NEED to read!

Rylee Parys, like her father and grandfather is a small time rancher with a big time problem. Embroiled in a bitter war over water and land, she stands alone against her neighbors who are dismayed to have a woman in control.

Ex-cavalry officer, Tom Duncan has returned home after the bloody civil war only to find himself in the middle of another war. Pitted against a slim, boyish looking woman, he’s uncertain who to believe. When the hostility boils over and becomes physical, Tom must make a stand.

As the clues add up these two bitter opponents must rely on each other to save not only their way of life – but the love that has grown between them.

Review: I really enjoyed this warm and engaging story.

Rylee has had to fend for herself against a town that doesn’t want to accept a female rancher. As a youngster she was a gangly tom girl and when she decided to dress up and go to the local dance as a young lady the guys had teased and bullied her. Her best friend is a widow who is ostracized because she had been married to a halfbreed. Rylee is tough, strong and feisty – just the sort character I like!

Tom has come home to discover that his brother is a drunk and his Uncle has mismanaged their ranch and finances. Although Tom liked Rylee in their youth he was with the boys who had made fun of her and he never made an effort to apologize.

Tom is designated by the town folk to try to make peace with Rylee but she greets him with a gun and blames his crew for attacking her ranch. It looks like Rylee is doing things to hurt the neighboring ranches but when the attacks against her begin to escalate it starts to look like someone is framing her for the bad acts and she is taking the brunt of the damage.

There is lots of action and plenty of mystery in this story to keep your attention. I thought the sentiments of the town people shifted a bit too easily after their deep animosity but it is possible they were willing to be forgiving when they learned who was really behind the destruction. Rylee was not as easily forgiving and trusting which creates much of the personal battle between Tom and her. I enjoyed the mystery and the spicy romantic struggle to get to acceptance, trust and love. I also liked the easy and natural flow of the writing. If you like western historicals I think you would really like this. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

In the post-meltdown world, it is irresponsible, ineffective, and ultimately useless to have a serious economic debate without considering and challenging the role of the Federal Reserve.

Most people think of the Fed as an indispensable institution without which the country's economy could not properly function. But in END THE FED, Ron Paul draws on American history, economics, and fascinating stories from his own long political life to argue that the Fed is both corrupt and unconstitutional. It is inflating currency today at nearly a Weimar or Zimbabwe level, a practice that threatens to put us into an inflationary depression where $100 bills are worthless. What most people don't realize is that the Fed -- created by the Morgans and Rockefellers at a private club off the coast of Georgia -- is actually working against their own personal interests. Congressman Paul's urgent appeal to all citizens and officials tells us where we went wrong and what we need to do fix America's economic policy for future generations.

This is a very interesting presentation of the arguments for ending the Federal Reserve System.

An early portion of the audio book contains what sounds like a bit of a memoir of Ron Paul meeting various financial experts and political figures which I found engaging. The main direction of the book is a very thorough history of the circumstances and influences that led to the creation of the Federal Reserve and then the actual harm that has resulted from the system. There is a detailed discussion of the devaluation of the dollar without a Gold standard. The book also explains why the author believes that Ben Bernanke-sponsored bailouts aren't such a super idea. The book even addresses the immorality of the Federal Reserve System saying that it is "immoral, unconstitutional, impractical, promotes bad economics, and undermines liberty." The book may not present a complete solution to the current economic situation but it points out that ending the current Federal System is the way to begin to improve or solve the crisis.

This is a book that covers a complex and not particularly exciting subject. However, if you are at all concerned about the current economic crisis, the loss of the free market and the proliferation of a “welfare state” this is a book to listen to or read. I think it is sometimes easier to listen to a complex book like this rather than read it. However, the disadvantage of listening is that you can’t refer back unless you take notes as you listen. So if you get the audio I suggest you keep a pad handy to make notes of interest! I know that most people would not think about studying the Federal Reserve System but I think Americans should not only want to read this book but NEED to read it and pay attention!

For reasons he refuses to admit, bad boy Kane McCassey has a soft spot for women who need help. Those familiar with his reputation say that he doesn’t take anything seriously. But his family knows the truth, and isn’t surprised when Kane risks everything to save the woman who literally drops into his life.
Nothing prepared Lizzie Barnes to handle the whirlwind of trouble that comes calling out of the blue. Desperate to save herself, she resorts to drastic measures…only to find she’s traded one dangerous situation for another.
They met by coincidence. Lizzie doesn’t understand Kane’s desire to help her, but she does trust him. With no other choice, she accepts his offer. When Kane discovers Lizzie isn’t the only one in danger, he must find and confront the one who betrayed him, or lose everything he loves…including Lizzie.

Review:
Forget the Twilight Series and Jacob in all his hunkiness (and yes Edward too, I don't want to offend either team). The next addicting series you will be reading involves the McCassey's! I just need to say that Betrayed doesn't involve any vamps or werewolves but does involve some wiping the drool off your chin while you read. Meet scorching hot Kane McCassey! Kane is sexy, thoughtful, intense, lovable, exciting, adventurous, gorgeous and yes, just as bad as any McCassey before him. (ok, not AS bad as some of them but just as irresistible.) If I don't get on with this review, I'm going to be sitting here being all dreamy over Kane (note to self, move on already) One of the reasons I felt so drawn to Kane was his intense need to take care of women in trouble. I loved that he did what he felt he needed to in order to rescue the damsel in distress, or should I say in this particular case, the damsel in the white dress? How Lizzie and Kane met was PERFECT! Seriously, he couldn't have even seen the relationship coming if he tried. Lizzie's character was just as alluring. When she finds herself in danger, she really doesn't want to involve Kane in her troubles. She finds she has more strength than she realizes.

The weaving of previous characters in this book was brilliant! Just when you think you know what's going on, you find another level has been added to the complex story line. Previous characters are explained throughout the book so you won't be lost if Kane's story happens to be the one you start with but trust me, you will want to read them all. The bonding between Lizzie and some of the McCassey's really hit my heart. The conflicts they must overcome really makes this story one that I just can't get out of my head. This is my favorite series of all time and I really do mean that. I find that I can't wait for the next book to come out. I am honestly holding my breath when I hear there is another on it's way. I have not read a family that I have fallen more in love with than the McCassey's. Betrayed will leave you breathless with anticipation.

Ms. Sharman takes an tantalizing and intriguing read and steps it up with Kane's story. This book is 333 pages and I wish it would have been longer. Ms. Sharman's writing style keeps you glued to the pages and leaves you begging for more. The villain will blow your mind and the depths the villain sinks make this read thought provoking. I don't know how Ms. Sharman can write a book better than the previous one but with the McCassey's she does it every time. I know that each one I read will be better than anything I can imagine. The suspense, plot and characters are exquisitely written and well thought out. I can't give this book any higher than a You Gotta Read and if I could, I honestly would. Ms. Sharman, you have my admiration for writing such an outstanding book as well as series. I am forever a loyal reader and look forward to many more books in the series!

This is a very good. It has a well thought out plot, deep and multifaceted characters, and an interesting take on werewolves. Sydney and Grayson’s interaction is tense and fun; and while the ending is almost a forgone conclusion there is enough doubt to make the reader edgy.

What keeps this from being a Gotta read are the spelling errors. Pierced instead of pursed, knew instead of new. This story is just too short to have as many errors as it does.

Filled with hope for her future and excited to have a place of her own, Cass heads west not knowing what she'll find.

What she finds are hot and sexy twin brothers intent on making her a part of their lives. It's too bad they're so much younger because they bring out feelings she's never had before.

Meanwhile, there's someone else interested in Cass' inheritance, and he's willing to do whatever it takes to make sure he wins.

Will Cass overcome her fears and open her heart to the two men who love her, and will she discover the truth about her inheritance before it's too late?

This story fell out to the cliche tree and hit every branch on the way down. There was clearly no research done on abuse, twin interactions, law, or canine behavior. Everything is told in long winded exposition, including the sex scenes, one of which takes almost 25 pages. Honestly, while well written, it’s just formulaic. There is nothing original, no surprises, and plot points are handled in a very ham-handed fashion

Overall, I’m disappointed with this story. It had the potential to be great, but the lack of research and awkward story telling made it hard to enjoy.

What do you get with a former wild man who's committed his path to the Lord and a woman who has absolutely nothing to lose? It's either a match made in heaven...or a sure-fire heartache.

Gregg Stevens has spent a lifetime making bad decisions, never knowing true love. Stormie Knight, a new Christian, beguiles him with her eccentricities and well-kept secrets. Extracting those secrets could shatter both of their hearts, along with the newborn faith of a wayward angel not yet ready to spread her wings.

This is a truly beautifully emotional and engaging story! It is my favorite so far in this series!

Stormie is an absolutely striking character! She is bipolar and struggles with the fact that she can never be “normal.” I have known several people with this disorder and I think Ms. Wiesner did an excellent job of portraying the intense high and low mood swings that plague a bipolar individual. The self destructive cycle of feeling good enough to stop taking the medication and then crashing without it is the sad and difficult reality of this behavioral disorder. This book gives interesting insight into the mental battles of the person who is afflicted with the disorder!

Gregg is a wonderful character too. He is captivated by the beautiful and natural Stormie but he wants to give them both time to overcome their past demons and to grow in their relationship! I liked how he continually took his struggles to the Lord because he recognized that he did not have the strength within himself to overcome the temptations facing him!

In an additional “sub-story” Gregg deals with helping one of the boys at the Wayward Angels boy’s shelter. There is heartbreak when they discover Diego has aids from childhood abuse. The relationship between Gregg and Diego is shown as a loving father for a son. Here too Gregg shows unconditional acceptance and love.

Stormie and Diego struggle with accepting the friendship and love offered them as they do not see themselves as worthy. Also, past history and their medical conditions have given them reason to be distrustful and wary.

The plot is woven from the secrets kept, the desire to trust and be trusted and the struggles in the developing relationships. I enjoyed the whole book but the last third I was barely able to set the book aside! Ms. Wiesner is a master story teller! This is a Gotta read for everyone to understand the difficulties of bipolar disorder and also for the sheer enjoyment of a well crafted story! Be sure to check out the other books in the series too!

But Nissa’s beauty, intelligence and strength is a siren call he can’t resist.. His desire for her and her willingness to let herself be drawn by their mental pull compels Hex to consider offering to her something he’s never given another mortal– the treasured Turning Kiss.

The beautiful vampire pair entice Nissa into an intimate sexual realm beyond her wildest dreams—and she revels in it. But when she finds herself falling for one of the powerful duo, it could mean the end of her deepest fantasies. Or a new beginning she never dared to imagine…

A very nice little novella. If you like quick and easy vampire stories, you’ll love this one. The story of a lost and lonely young woman who finds her place amongst vampires. As with many vampire stories there is intrigue, sensuality, and raw sex. It is not a difficult or strenuous read. I enjoyed the author’s take on how individuals become vampires. It is humane and completely voluntary. The Seeking Kiss is the entrance into their world but some never make it past this step. Nissa found love and acceptance within a family and she found her place in life, so to speak.

Mistletoe Magic: Major Mark Riley plays Court Jester to Janelle Walsh's Snow Queen at the Christmas Parade and is instantly captivated by the cute redhead whose grandpa just happens to be Santa. When Mark learns she's the tenant he evicted from his newly purchased property, it's going to take a little bit of Santa's mistletoe magic to save their romance.

Mistletoe Match-up: When Lisa Riley comes home for Mark's Christmas Eve wedding, her high school rivalry with Janelle's cousin, Derek Walsh, picks up right where it left off, only this time Derek's got the upper hand. Santa bides his time as they battle it out because he's waited a whole year for this mistletoe match-up.

Review: Three stories in one book. I love that Ms. Netzel has included all three stories in one book. So many times I read a book and wonder about the other characters. This time I didn't have to do that. They were all in here and all had great stories. I LOVED this series. They were sweet stories, written well, with a bit of hotness in them, and hard to put down. All three were good, but I think Mistletoe Magic was my favorite. I especially liked the vision of Mark in tights. Makes me want to get some mistletoe. Thanks for the great reading!

Well, after listening to the audio book I realized that he was a great leader. He had good ethics and good ideals on how to run a nation. He also expected his other chieftains to run their areas the same way he did. It was a very well written book with lots of good information. Jimmy and Tara were unwittingly separated in their teens. Now successful adults, what happens when the two different lives collide and desire still lingers, even after all of these years? Even more miraculous is that Jimmy is a father, one of three men to claim such status to Tara's special brood, and he never had a clue! Even with this secret out, Tara feels conflicted whether to let Jimmy back into her life, when there are other men who want her too. She's too busy to think, with an upcoming concert debut, a family wedding, and a role in a movie, yet the septuplets want their father in their lives, even if bringing together two households puts their parents in danger from old lovers scorned. With the help of the Cross Family and Jimmy's roommates, they embark on a journey of self-discovery. Can true love overcome obstacles and unite them all as one family?

Review:
Tara and Jimmy experienced a whirlwind romance at a very young age which resulted in septuplets, however because she was sent away, Jimmy never knew of his children. Later, when they are reunited, the passion between Tara and Jimmy is undeniable and the obstacles in their way are almost unbearable, yet with each other, they are able to face their problems one at a time. Their relationship seemed very real to me as they both jumped to conclusions about the other and the results lead to chaos. But there are people in their lives to catch them when they fall. Ross, Tara's very best friend since childhood has played many roles in Tara's life from friend to lover to confidant. I enjoyed reading about the relationship between Tara and Ross. It was a lifelong friendship that was constant and the changes the two experienced intrigued me. Ross loved Tara and and I found his loyalty to endearing. Jimmy, I found to be insecure with his relationship with Tara in that he had been wronged by a woman before. When he would hear whispers from others that Tara may not be the person he thought, he would doubt her love for him. It was so evident however, that the bond between the two could never be broken. Their relationship sizzled and I kept holding my breath that Jimmy and Tara would stay together. Throughout the book, there always seems to be at least one villain that is constantly lurking in the background. I love romantic suspense so this element fascinated me and drew me into the story just that much more.

Ms. Hill has written an intriguing tale of love lost and found once again under very unusual circumstances. The characters were multi-dimensional and captivated me. Falling For Her Heart was a book that was laced with intrigue and so many twists and turns, you won't want to put the book down. I found this book to be an emotional, warm, full-bodied novel with an ending that was explosive. Just a tidbit to throw in here is that I enjoyed the English as well as the American traditions that were weaved throughout the book. It's refreshing to see the split between the two and I really enjoyed it. OK, back to my review. Even though Falling For Her Heart is the sequel to Hostage to Her Heart, it can certainly stand alone. Ms. Hill describes the background of all involved in detail so you won't miss a thing. I highly recommend this book to any lover of romantic suspense. I also recommend you take your time reading this book so that you can really get to know the characters. Falling For Her Heart is a breathtaking and entertaining read. Give into your guilty pleasure of reading a drama filled, exciting book. Falling For Her Heart is a not to be missed book. Now if you will excuse me, I am off to read Hostage to Her Heart. to be the best thing that ever happened to him.

“Lions and tigers and bears, oh my.” Well, how about vampires and demons too? That is what you will find in Jaxx Steele's Indian Blood Moon when Dante fulfills his reporting assignment by attending an unusual Halloween party. Mr. Steele does an interesting job setting the scene with an odd and eclectic assortment of creatures and characters in attendance, complete with vivid and detailed descriptions, colorful enough to compete with any real live Halloween costume ball.

Interestingly, the story is actually quite charming, even with its “pseudo” Gothic, gory elements added. Yes, this is a vampire vs. demon, semi-good vs. very evil tale, with a sometimes helpless, non traditional damsel in distress Dante caught in the middle however, it is also a romance, and a very well-written romance. As the readers see, Magnus is the perfect charismatic hero, and Dante appears to be his equally perfect match. As a result, the love scenes between the two while quite bold and graphic, are also somewhat poignant. I recommend reading this novella, it is just what is the spirit wants and needs to read.

This story isn’t bad, so long as you keep your tongue lodged firmly in your cheek. The plot is a little silly and underdeveloped. The characters are fairly two dimensional and don’t break any stereotypes.

However, the sex is entertaining and plentiful.

Tired of sugar plums and sit-com Christmases? Ready for something real, wild, and kickin'? Try reading ChristmaSin', a deeply
Southern Christmas Epistle that'll have you wishing Christmas really

Christmas isn't just about sugar plum fairies and reindeer dancing
across the sky. It can also be about red clay chunk wars, cock
fighting, dead people who may really not be, and more! Get set for a
wild, wild Christmas ride when you read ChristmaSin', Southern Outlaw
Author Ed Williams' take on what a true Christmas in a small, rural
Southern town is really all about! Learn about Christmas miracles
happening in the most unlikely of settings, the early '70s in tiny
Juliette, Georgia. It's a novel that could be true, in some places
actually is, and one that will both warm the heart and tickle the
funny bone!

This is a VERY different and fun read with Ed William’s “earthy” humor!! I happened to recognize the author’s humor from some blog posts, so I was prepared for a certain “rawness.”

This story comes from a male POV and even more than that a teenage male POV!! So it is full of young male hormones, irreverent humor! It is unlike anything I have read and although I had to work around the language the story makes it worth it!

The setting is down home south in 1972 and the characters are warm with a wonderful sense of family and small rural town! Written in first person it is like being in the mind set of a young teenage boy --- oh what thoughts!! The story moves along quickly as the author describes his quirky family members! He also shares his thoughts on his teenage sweet Christian girlfriend… plus thoughts about other not so sweet girls! The scenes are full-bodied and you almost feel like you are there passing plates among the relatives at dinner or watching the young dating couple! References to TV shows and songs may bring memories to anyone familiar with that generation.

There are actually a couple of Christmas messages as one is told by Ed Jr. (Ed’s father) reminiscing about an event from the Korean War. Then there is the final warm Christmas message revealed in the actions of Ed Sr. (Ed’s grandfather).

These are not sophisticated characters and the story contains a description of the local cock fights. So I would say this book is not for the faint of heart or those who want only a dainty read. But if you are up for ribald language and feisty down home characters this is really a uniquely different and fun read with its own warm charm and real message of kindness!

Ms. Thomas is an exceptional writer, showing a stunning ability to juxtapose the elements of traditional romance with those of not so traditional BDSM, and make them both mesh in a seamless and sensual way that is both appealing, and far from gratuitous or offending. For anyone wary of the typical hardcore BDSM novel, this is the perfect book to read as the love scenes are well-written, sensual and not graphic, yet frequent enough to satisfy most appetites. I found the dialogue refreshing, eloquent rather than trite, and the writing itself fluid and lyrical.

Contrary to what one would think, making D/s a predominant element (no pun intended) to a story does not prevent it from having a great plot as well. Deadly Secrets is multi-layered, with complex main characters and entertaining secondary characters that add to what can only be described as a thrilling storyline, and make this a book that needs to be read. There are many twists and turns to Deadly Secrets, more than enough to keep this fascinated reader riveted to the very end and, happily, I can say I truly enjoyed the journey to that final page.

The mark of an exceptional book is not just the desire to read it again once finished, it is the urge to re-read those first installments if it is part of a series. Such was my dilemma with Queen of Song and Souls. I had forgotten what a wonderful writer C.L. Wilson was between this book and her last, and was quickly reminded by the first page of this book. It picks up where Lady of Light and Shadows ends and we are able to discover Ellie and Rain's fates, as well as that of the entire cast of other characters.

Ms. Wilson does not disappoint her readers, as she adds more adventure, more magic, more prophecies, and more fanciful beings and elements. Her imagination is immense, her vision fantastic and her writing abilities incredible. The dialogue is wonderful, complete with its own languages and unique cultures for some of the beings and worlds she's created. For anyone familiar with Tolkien, reading C.L. I would not suggest propositioning a traffic cop as an alternative to getting out of a speeding ticket, but as a plot in I Can't Drive 55 it definitely makes for an interesting story. Needless to say, both Kyle and John enjoy this alternative option, and as a reader we manage to find enjoyment in it too. Luckily, Ms. Falconer is a good writer, and manages to make this seem if not exactly legal, at least slightly plausible, and less in the fantasy genre than one would expect.

I found this book enjoyable, with sparkling dialogue, and great chemistry between the main characters - chemistry that was evident from their initial meeting, without making that meeting unbelievable or trite. Ms. Falconer has a gift for comedic timing, and it found a home in I Can't Drive 55. That timing also manages to find its way into the love scenes as well as other aspects of the book, and as a result it ends up lighthearted, fun and the perfect book if you are looking for a quick and entertaining read.

A night of passion three months ago convinced him she's his perfect match, but Tanya's scared of the feelings his dominant nature evokes. The idea of giving up control to someone else has her running scared. The last thing she needs in her life is “The Iceman” telling her what to do.

Fire and Ice is a beautifully written example of what a true BDSM relationship can and should be. Fortunately, Liz Andrews takes her readers through the ups and downs of this relationship from its beginning, so we are allowed to experience all the emotional angst, the devastating lows as well as the extraordinary highs that her characters experience too. She is a master at dialogue, and using those words to relay her characters emotions is one of her strongest techniques as the reader sees over and over while reading Fire and Ice.

All of the players in Fire and Ice are dynamic and personable, none more so than the main characters Victor and Tanya. They are both shown as strong-willed, demanding respect and in Victor's case complete obedience. Their interactions, both oral and physical are never casual and always well-written. The love scenes between Victor and Tanya, and the prelude to those encounters have all the lyricism of a dance, with intricate steps designed to show the reader that there can be happiness at the end. It is this overall positive tone to the book that makes it one that should be on everyone's list to read.

It Happened One Night was one of the best books I have read yet. The characters seemed so real and the subject matter was spot on for these characters. The one thing I noticed that I just LOVED was that the sister Karin had such a strong voice in this story. The problems she faced were problems that we deal with in real life every day. How she dealt with them was inspiring. My heart just broke when something divided the bond between Lana and Eli. And Eli's girlfriend Kelly, well let's just say that I wasn't too fond of her character but I loved the fireworks that came about by her actions.

This is a great book. It’s full of action, romance, and mystery. Each character is well defined and full of life, with a past that effects who they are and the choices they make. Even better, I did not guess who the villain was until they literally popped out of the background. And hot sex always sweetens the deal.

But what keeps this from being a “Gotta Read” for me is the heroine. I am all for a strong, independent woman who knows what she wants and is willing to take risks to get it. However, there is a fine line between tenacity and stupidity. Three near death experiences, two prowler attacks, and a house fire later, it is time to accept that you are in over your head. Regardless of gender, sometimes we all need to sit back and let batman do his job.

Overall, this book is wonderful and I plan on picking up the others in the series.

He may be her best friend and fellow writer at Redburn Weekly Magazine, but sometimes his exuberance gets on her very last nerve. Now they've been assigned to cover the orphan toy drive story. It's just a puff piece not the serious journalism Kathryn hopes for, but maybe—as Nick says—there are no old stories just new angles.
Nick Pringle has been in love with Kathryn practically since the day they met. When he realizes that she's lost her Christmas spirit, he figures he's just the guy to help her find it again. He enacts a plan to send her anonymous gifts from Secret Santa, but will any of this really make a difference in her? Will she ever see him as anything more than her smart-aleck partner even after their passionate kisses? Then again maybe he'll get what he wants for Christmas after all.

You should read this book simply because it is a great Christmas romance. It is the sweetest story I have read in awhile. I just loved Nick and his way of breaking into Kathryn's hard shell. The thrill of each day and the opening of Kathryn's desk drawer to find her next present. I want someone to give me 12 days of presents. How romantic. I also enjoyed the tension that started to happen between Nick and Kathryn as Nick got more involved in the gift giving. I also liked the underlying story of the orphan children. It's rare to find a paranormal romance without the added eroticism, but Fade to Black doesn't dissapoint. Ms. Kuehl has become a new favorite of this reviewer!

Never in a million years would Nicole Donaldson have imagined she'd become a rapper. But when the reserved middle-manager gets caught up in a lark with her Prince-obsessed brother, she's offered a music deal by hot music producer, Baron Odom. Nicole doesn't know what to make of her entrance into a world and lifestyle she's disdained from afar. She also can't quite wrap her mind around the quickly deepening attraction she has to Baron. Can she resist the call of the stage? The call of her heart?

Nicole Donaldson has a musical background she takes for granted, focusing on her every day 9-5 job. Never mind that she's sang background vocals for her brother at his studio. When a producer catches part of her rap session, she's offered a big record deal. Is the "biz" all she thought it would be? And will she find love off the stage?

Written with the true flavor of the rap/hip-hop world of music, Dime, gives us a look into a different world. There is more to the music games than fame and lights and Nicole allows us to experience that newness. Aubrey Leatherwood is an author to enjoy for many years to follow. Excellent!

Lacey Bright, recently widowed and living beneath the charity of her sister-in-law, leaves London with her son and her housekeeper. She leases Cliff Cottage overlooking the English Channel, hoping to make a livelihood there with her landscape paintings.

Captain Maximilian Stern, a grouchy ghost, haunts his former home, chasing off renters until Lacey arrives. They strike up a deal which will allow her to continue living there, but though a loving bond forms between Lacey and Max, can there ever be a future between a living woman and a ghost?

After the death of her husband, Lacey Bright and her son leave London's high society and her overbearing sister-in-law for quiet life in the country at Cliff Cottage with hopes of selling her artwork. No one bothered to tell the young widow the cottage was hauted by the previous owner, Captain Maximilian Stern. Max agrees to allow Lacey to remain for the term of her lease. A bond soon forms between the two and Lacey becomes Max's living link, carrying out terms of his would have been will and buying cliff cottage. Can a ghost truly love a living woman? Or has Lacey's heart come twenty years too late? Written in the classic historical style of eloquent words and descriptive scenery, Lacey's Ghost, is as heartbreaking for the reader as it is for the heroine. I absolutely loved the ending and couldn't have scripted it better myself. A beautiful love story everyone needs to read.

Texanna is such a "card" and a force to be wreckoned with, endearing the reader to her from the start. Ms. Laroque has a talent for imagery displaying her world in intricate detail.
