She flees in attempt to escape the heartache, but doesn't get far before the world around her spins and leaves her a fallen woman amongst the darkness.
Jax is tired of the centuries of loneliness. Emily is his last hope for sanity--for love. If only he could convince her that she is meant to be with him will he have a future.
Will his powers become his enemy, or will they reel him into a seductive spell of passion?
After discovering her husband cheated on her with her sister, who she'd let live with them, a fact that has her wishing she could kick herself. Emily runs into the night, unable to face her problems. After passing out on the street, she wakes to find herself supposedly happily married to Jax and unable to remember her previous life, but there is a lot more at stake for all of them than anyone realizes. Jax would do anything to keep Emily by his side, even if it means using a little black magic. Emily is more than willing to fall under his spell of passion.
The pacing of this book moves quickly, maybe just a little too fast, but its still packed with tons of story. I kept hoping Jax would turn some of his darker powers on Emily's husband, maybe turn him into the donkey's behind he was. All in all a great story and one you need to read.
