Dr. Elizabeth Clark's life is turned upside down when she is kidnapped by the Druiks, and taken to Druik Void, located in a future realm. Caged like an animal in a laboratory filled with humanoid specimens from other dimensions, she endures experimental surgery. Seduced by Zandor and Thryll, two very sexy shape-shifters trapped with her, she is persuaded to escape. Will Beth survive the frantic journey to the Gate and safety? Or will she fall prey to the insatiable shifters?
Once again H. C. Brown brings the reader into the wonderful world of Pride males. Beth Clark wakes up to find herself in a strange world full of all the things that humans think are imaginary. Locked in a laboratory and treated like a lab rat she finds solace in her developing friendship with Zandor and Thryll, two shape shifters who are just as trapped as she is. Beth soon finds out that she is the mate of both Zandor and Thryll. As they run from the evil Druiks the chaos begins. Can Elizabeth accept all the magical things their world is comprised of? Will Zandor and Thryll be able to convince Beth that they truly love and belong together before it is too late?
I love coming back to the world of this series, a great world full of magic and wondrous creatures like faeries, demons and shape shifters. The love between Zandor and Thryll is great read and all that more special when they want to share it with Beth. Zandor and Thryll are totally different but both endear themselves to the reader. Zandor is a tortured soul with a hardened heart while Thryll loves with a passion. Beth is a brave woman who deals with what fate has thrown her into. Together they are unstoppable. As they deal with all that happens you can see the love build and strengthen between these three.
Not only do you enjoy their story but you also get to see more of the Pride males and much more of Nox. I enjoyed this book immensely and cannot wait for the next book in this series.
