Two volatile people, two different lives -- too hot to handle?

Dax Winslow never believed in love at first sight...that was before he met Kendall Zurich. While en route to the most important meeting of his legal career, Dax’s car breaks down in the small town of Milton Ville and he finds himself face to face with the owner of Kenny’s Service Station. The stunning mechanic knocks his otherwise structured psyche off balance.

Kendall Zurich is content with her laid-back life. Too bad Dax's arrival disrupts her quiet existence and turns it completely upside down. She can only hope the dashing counselor doesn’t uncover her secret...and if he does, the deception isn’t too big for forgiveness.

Emotions of the past can provoke a burning struggle. Will very separate lives, misunderstandings, and outright lies be enough to keep them apart? Or has each finally found the spark that could ignite a lifetime?

Attorney Dax Winslow is on his way to an important meeting when he gets lost and his car finally breaks down in a small town far away from his original destination. When he meets the mechanic Kendall Zurich who will fix his car he is awestruck. It seem Kendall is just as awestruck herself. The mutual attraction only grows more with each day they are together. Will Dax and Kendall act on that attraction or will they each miss out on a love found by accident?

Dax is a strong man who not only is fulfilling his father’s wishes but also going after his own dreams. Finding Kendall has Dax deciding on his future. Kendall is a woman who holds her own but longs for more. When their two worlds collide good things happen. From the build up of their first encounter to the happiness they feel and all in between this was a great read. Showing the reader that love is always worth fighting for.

This story grabbed me from the very first page. I am always excited to hear Jennifer Cole has a new book out and once again I was not disappointed. The characters are always full of emotion and her stories full of depth. I truly enjoyed this book and I am eagerly waiting for Jennifer Cole’s next book.

  1. Wow, thought I'd found a new author, alas most of her work appears to be ebooks.

  2. Thank you for the awesome review, Gabrielle!

  3. Hi Lisa,

Yes, most of my work is in ebook format, but my first print title, Le Club d'Esclavage, was released through Lyrical Press Inc. earlier this year. :)

    Take care!
