Kellan Teague, an orphan, is whisked away from the boarding school for psions by Dr. Olivia Hutchins to take part in a military organization called The Program. She awakes to find that she has been Linked, psychically bonded to a dragon named Jericho. Jericho doesn't seem very happy to be Linked and does everything he can to push Kellan away. One of the few people to show her kindness is a guard known to her only as Drake. Kellan soon finds out that both Jericho and Drake have secrets, secrets that hold the key to her past.
Kellan has been raised in different orphanages her entire life. Once the subject of other orphans torment and bullying, she's learned to control her psionic abilities attracting the notice of Dr. Olivia Hutchins and the government's Program. After entering the program, she is bonded to a dragon named Jericho. Unhappy with his new link the dragon tries to force Kellan away with his cruelty while secretly keeping a close eye on the girl. Drake, a kind guard at the center, is watching over her as well, but why? What are his reasons for keeping Kellan close? What secrets do he and Jericho share?
Kellan's Dragons is true dragon lore fantasy set in an almost futuristic yet primitive setting. Kellan is a strong heroine willing to meet any challenge, including that of her stubborn link, head on. Jericho and Drake are the classic teenage heroes, handsome, noble and secretive. Antonia Tiranth doesn't disappoint with this sweet and suspenseful tale. Definitely one you gotta read.
