Kasey Jacobs spends her days as a bookkeeper for a discount furniture store and her nights writing erotic romances, still waiting to meet the man who could ring her chimes. Maybe her new neighbor, Skyler Brody… Too bad she hasn’t seen him since the day he moved in.

Then Skyler, a cop recuperating from a gunshot wound, spies Kasey pleasuring herself in front of an open window and nearly trips over his tongue rushing to introduce himself. The sex is instantaneous and hot, with all the explosiveness of fireworks.

But Kasey wants something Skyler isn’t prepared to give. Perhaps they can find a way to each other’s heart—if they don’t burn themselves out with their nightly erotic activities.

Working as a bookeeper pays the bills, but Kasey Jacobs true passion is writing erotic romance. She spends her nights holed up in front up the computer creating steaming hot loves scenes for others to enjoy. Still searching for Mr. Right, Kasey thinks she may have found a prospect in neighbor Skyler Brody. Too bad he's kept to himself since he moved in to the cul-de-sac.

Recuperating from a gun shot wound to his shooting arm cop Skyler has noticed Kasey on several occasions, but nothing prepared him for the show she put on in front of her window. Their chemistry is undeniable, but will Skyler be able to share all of himself with Kasey? Or will she turn and run as other women would at fear of their love being in constant jeopardy?

Scorched says it all. Hot, hot, hot love scenes full of emotion dominate this short novella. Kasey is determined to know Skyler's past and present before she'll agree to any sort of future with him, but Skyler is terrified of losing her once she does know the truth. A quick, steamy read that will have to reaching for the next book in the series. Definitely one you've gotta read.
