Meow! Oh Wow! Is that what I thought it was?

Daphne Van Ness recently graduated with her Master’s Degree in Conservation Biology from Columbia University and took a new job with the National Aviary in Pittsburgh.

A self-professed cat hater, Daphne travels to Costa Rica to pick up a pair of rare birds when she runs over a cat on a desolate road and soon discovers this small house cat isn’t what he appears to be at all.

Who is going to be purring when it turns out all is not as it seems?

Daphne Van Ness finally landed her dream job working with rare birds at the Nation Aviary near her home in Pittsburgh. While traveling to Costa Rica to pick up a mating pair of a rare bird species, feline hater Daphne hits a small black cat while driving on a road cutting through dense vegetation. Knowing she can't leave it there, she accepts the grizzly task of cleaning up the cat. Tossing the cat in the trunk, she's alarmed when loud thumping noises start coming from the back. Out of gas and stranded alone in the jungle with a kitty turned jaguar turned gorgeous guy intend on one thing, pleasing his new love Daphne. All's well until he eats the birds sending the couple on the run. Fast paced and steamy the first book in Ms. Shelley's Familiar trilogy will keep you on the edge of your seat leaving you eagerly reaching for the sequel.
