Carry finds herself in a rubble of a mess with her boyfriend. She's hurt and can't believe he wants her to prostitute herself. She runs away and gets caught in a storm.

Robert sees a lonely young lady sitting utterly drenched waiting for a bus. He wants to help her out by giving her a ride wherever she wants to go. When he takes her to his place, he realizes she's not as young as he originally thought.

Will Carry find what she's looking for with Robert or will he leave her dripping wet?

We’ve all had those moments in our lives when we just want someone to come along a rescue us. Someone who will help us through the rough spot. Someone who asks nothing in return for their benevolence. Deep down, every girl wants her white knight.

This is the situation in which Robert finds Carry.

The story is sweet, the sex is as much about healing as it is about passion. That said, it is still hot.

Overall, a wonderful story that touches a wide spectrum of emotions in a handful of pages.

Who do you turn to and find inspiration for those moments when life isn’t going the way you planned? Lena Spencer turns to the person who has been a part of her and her husband’s, Randall, lives from the beginning; Tina Turner. Lena and Randall have grown from having the basics to now living in luxury in Los Angeles. Randall has fulfilled most of the goals he set for himself while telling Lena to put hers on hold. Lena, feeling the need to establish herself as Lena Spencer, Photographer, and not just Mrs. Randall Spencer, hostess extraordinaire, or Kendrick and Camille’s Mom. When Randall tells her he won’t go to any more Marriage Counseling sessions and she should just be happy with what she has or leave, Lena decides if Tina could do it and hold her head high, so could she. Using Tina’s book as her guide and a journey to see Tina in concert, Lena searches to find the answer to, “What’s Love Gotta Do With It?”

Searching for Tina Turner played like a movie while I read it. I did not want to pause to go do regular things for the fear that I might miss something. I felt the connection that Ms. Luckett wanted to share between Lena and Tina. At first, I did feel that Lena was a tad whiney and not standing up for what she wanted in her marriage and with her children but then I saw there was a growing period she needed to transition through. Randall needed to be brought back down to Earth and the only one that could touch him to do that was Lena even though neither thought she could. Ms. Luckett’s debut novel will surely be on a lot of Book Club Reading List and I recommend it highly for one that has to be in your bag or e-book reader for the summer.

Making contact under the pretension of an interview, he lures her to his estate to keep her safe from the enemy. However, he underestimates his dark desire for her. Now who will keep her safe from him?

This is a fun story full of mystery. I spent a lot of time during the first few chapters trying to puzzle out what was happening and what secret Gabriel was hiding. And I was not disappointed. The characters were vivid and believable and reacted to the world around them in appropriate ways.

The story does suffer a few cliches and, while the path taken was creative, the ending was fairly predictable.

The sex is hot, frantic, and wild, saving admissions of feeling for better times.

Overall, this is a great story with a an engaging and mysterious plot.

In their world, ink is thicker than blood.

Isabella Rathe’s past of excess and indulgence is the least of her problems. Although clean for seven years, she fights a constant battle with her asura nature. But that battle pales in comparison to the complications of keeping a human alive in her world of magic, mythology and drugs.

When the D.E.A. offered Isabella the chance at justice, she'd jumped at it. Evening the score with her half-brother was too great a temptation to resist. But what she hadn't counted on was falling for the agent assigned to her case.

Can an asura, keep a human alive and continue down the road of sobriety?

Revenge, passion and unexpected complications fill this volume by Chandra Ryan.

This story has a great balance of character development and story progression. The characters are well written and endearing and the story is well planned and flows without hanging up on any inconsequential details. The feelings between Isabella and Agent Phinney are sincere and believable.

This story is a fun short read that would be a good addition to anyones library.

Morgan Tremayne comes from a long line of self-made, wealthy, honorable Dominant men, is on a quest to find his "kindred spirit" - a woman who recognizes her own true submissive desires, and will willingly accept him as her Dominant on a life journey of self discovery in a mutually devoted, consensual D/s relationship. In a total power exchange, he'll be devoted to her, protect her, care for her, teach her, never punish her without cause; never intentionally cause her pain she could not bear simply for his own satisfaction; guide her on a journey of self-discovery. In return, she must be willing to surrender completely to him: She must be secure in deriving her happiness from his pleasure, sexual and otherwise; must be content with his being in complete control of her life, body and soul. When, as a young adult Morgan meets Belinda, he senses immediately that he's found his "kindred spirit." But ultimately, their D/s journey takes them both on a fateful course neither of them can control, leaving Morgan caring about nothing, existing without living. Until he finds free-spirited, sassy Faithe by pure chance. Is Faithe his new kindred spirit? Will she be his salvation? Will he be hers? Faithe and Salvation is a stimulating, gripping, sensual graphic story of a man and two women coming to grips with their deepest desires that's sure to leave you thinking about your own sexuality.

Generations of Dominant men, a heartbreaking loss and a passionate relationship keep the pages turning of this fantastic story.

In a short 57 pages Aden Kains has packed in an enchanting tale of love, loss and learning to love again, entwined with a total control Dom/sub lifestyle that is well written and detailed.

I always enjoy finding a D/s story that is well written and realistic in its portrayal of the D/s scene.

Aden Kains has achieved just that. A glimpse into a world filled with total control and passion while at the same time not making it out to be something freakish. A great story that anyone interested in or involved in the D/s life should read.

But she's not confident enough to pursue what she wants. Luckily, the Master she's waited for steals her away and enslaves her. Abused and used, pampered and cuddled, humiliated and shamed, bathed and babied, bound and whipped-she belongs to the one man who can give her everything she needs. She's been enslaved by a Master who protects her and calls her His own.

There are people all over the place who are searching for their place in the world. Stripping had not just been profitable for Lisa Emery; it had given her the power, the control, to be the woman she wanted to be. She’d had a stimulating job and the perfect man at home—her master. Together, they were exploring the darker side of passion, and both seemed to bloom with the knowledge. Why then had he suddenly disappeared just when things were going so well? And why now was he back?

Ben Johnson knew the “life” he and Lisa were living had been wrong...just knew it. Something that felt that good couldn’t be right. According to his therapist, “only by atoning for your wrongs could you really grow and change as a person.” Why then, after so many months apart, did he still need to dominate Lisa, to bend her to his will and give in to his baser instincts?

It all boils down to a matter of perspective.

Tess Lamont has taken us into a world of an unhappy young woman who misses the love of her life, and the man who is certain that he has hurt her.

The characters in this story are well written and interesting, the story is well written and fast paced to keep the pages turning.

There are many people out there who feel that a D/s relationship is unhealthy and unsafe. This story is a great dip into the world of consentual D/s relationships and the errors that can cause people to second guess themselves.

It also shows that if you are unhappy you should take a step back, reevaluate your life then enjoy the things that make you happy – Regardless of the opinions of others.

He's just like the other ones, except...except now he's also the only one who seems to take care of her. The only one who manages to make her come, the only one who tries. What's going on? Why is Scary suddenly the man she goes to? And why does no one listen to her when she says she doesn't do women?

Not every aspect of bondage is sweet and loving, not all aspects of the scene are scary and dark. Emma Hillman has accomplished a blending of the loving and the scary aspects of the D/s scene.

Strong Dom’s – and the intracasy of the relationship between multiple Doms in a single household, and willful slaves – as well as a glimpse at the levels of hierarchy between slaves, fill the pages of this story.

Review:
One Wilde night was one "wild" and fun read. I could not put this book down and found myself falling for the characters in the book. I mean, really, who wouldn't fall for a six foot something green eyed hottie? He's all Tara is looking for in Mr. Right Now. Tucker is hot, fun and the physical connection between the two cannot be ignored. Tara is a woman who wants to have fun without the heartbreak so the man before her seems safe enough, or is he? One Wilde Night was a racy and sexy novel that will keep you turning the pages to find out what happens next. It simply sizzled.

Ms. Leah has done an exceptional job with One Wilde Night and I recommend this story to those readers of romance who like a little extra sizzle. The characters were written with a combination of compassion, sensuality and at times humor. I really connected with the plot line. The end of the story was amazing. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Leah and can see only but good things in the future for this talented writer.

Liza is Paladin, third in power in the Redhawke pack. Half witch, half werewolf, but without the ability to change forms, she has an acrimonious history with Caleb, the Alpha’s heir. Then one explosive night, they explore her interest in submission, but he leaves the pack. And her. Five years later, the Alpha orders Liza to bring Caleb home. The years of distance have not dulled his anger at her, or the heat that once flared between them.

Caleb is biding time before returning to Redhawke. It's pleasurably spent with his lover Zach. When Liza shows up, once again at his father’s bidding, he's angry and hurt, but he still wants her. This time he isn’t letting her go. Zach takes one look at the woman and knows she’s the one for them. But can he accept that her delicious submission in bed goes no further than the bedroom door?

Claimed by two werewolves, Liza struggles to move forward from the past with Caleb while getting to know Zach. But they'll have to respect her devotion to the pack and her warrior spirit if they're going to win her heart.

I love to read about strong women in romance. So often women, even those who claim to be strong and independent, crumple before their male counter parts and are in constant need of rescue. Liza is a wonderful exception to the rule. Not only does her history say she is strong, she proves it.

I also love the contrast between Caleb and Zach. The two complement each other, so that no matter the situation, cooler head prevail. Where Caleb is more serious, Zach is more easy going. It makes their interaction and their interactions with Liza entertaining to watch.

The sex is spicy with a light touch of bondage and menage. With the pairings and settings always changing, each scene is fresh and doesn’t feel like a retread of the same old moves.

Overall, a fun story and a joy to read.

This story was a mix of sweet and intense. Sweet in the love department and intense with the danger to Hope. Ms. Smith wrote Hope and Miles as normal people who make mistakes but love each other deeply. Hope is able to look past what Miles is and love him despite it. The family atmosphere between the main characters was a really nice addition to a story. Ms. Smith added to that mix a bad guy. She wrote him as a believable villain, or more like the self absorbed villain that he was. My favorite thing was every time Hope called him vamp boy, that made me smile overtime. It takes a dragon to rescue a princess

After Princess Atto is kidnapped, the king offers her hand in marriage to the one who rescues her. Mercenary Tela needs the magical aid of sorceress Kaydana to help save her lover.

But when they find the dragon who kidnapped Atto, things take an unexpected turn. Kaydana is equal to most of the challenges she must face -- but how does she cope with being in love?

This is a great story. It is exciting and fun. The two main characters are good complements to each other, and the young princess is just too cute for words.

I really like the dragons in this story, largely because they have their own society, with it’s own rules and culture. They are not attempting to pass as humans or aping the Renaissance era. They only seem to have a human form for convenience of size and communication.

What keeps this story from being a “Gotta Read” is that it feels like it is missing a chapter. In the opening chapter we are introduced to two of the main characters, though the two do not meet. In the next chapter the two characters have been traveling together for a while, and have apparently had some sort of forced sexual encounter. This is only spoken of in the past tense and is never really cleared up. But more importantly, we are never even find out how the two meet and agreed to help each other.

Overall, and solid story and an enjoyable read.

EDIT: After this review was posted, I was informed that the copy I received was indeed missing a chapter. I was sent a new copy and I am happy to report that I am amending my original rating from “Need to Read” to “Gotta Read.” This story is excellent.

The sexy Londoner’s power to shape plus control electricity separated her from the norm since the day she’d been born. Yet, she never stopped longing for the acceptance that had long been denied her. In an impulsive act to change her living circumstances, Jena is caught using her abilities leading to a meeting that will change her life forever.

Agent for a super secret psychic operations program MI7, Adam Reynolds isn’t looking for anything from the buxom cocoa-skinned beauty he’s been sent to append for involuntarily induction into MI7’s psychic ops program. But, one glance into her deep dark eyes stirs feelings in him he’d accepted he’d never know. The turn of her head and the moistness of her lips bring out a longing for connection to her in him that leads him to put his life on the line to avoid Jena’s capture by his superiors and the psychic crime organization, The Pulse.

Their desire--immediate, strong and undeniable--leads them into each others’ arms, where Adam receives a startling revelation that could mean Jena’s life or death. A thousand lost lifetimes are revealed in his lover’s eyes, leading Adam on a quest to discover the mysterious origins of his own soul and the tie to the woman who walked out of his dreams into his life.

Yet, the dogged determination of a secret enemy has the potential to drive the lovers apart forever. Can Adam, seeking redemption from the damnation of a thousand lost lifetimes, save the woman he loves from death or will a tragic history repeat itself?

This story as an interesting plot, that is both imaginative and fairly original. The problem with this story is that it moves very very fast. It is only 115 pages long, total. By about page 35, the entire crux of the plot has been laid out. There is no time for the reader to wonder why he is helping her. He does not even wonder about it himself, act is committed and the answer was almost immediately supplied via psychic message. The next time he needs an answer it is give through divine intervention.

Because of the rushed plot, I had trouble getting into the sex. At that point in the story I was actually fairly confused as to what exactly was going on. The characters had just met, ran away together without any explanation or consideration, and they fall into each other’s arm.

Overall, it isn’t a bad story. But it would have been a whole lot better if it were three or four times as long.

Nolie is happy in her marriage to Joseph, but things have become a bit stale in the bedroom. When Joseph suggests role-playing, Nolie is skeptical at first, but then agrees, expecting an exciting time. What she doesn’t expect is how much she’ll learn about herself and her marriage through the experience.

Nolie and Joseph begin to realize that they are in a sexual rut and decide to do a little role-playing to spice things up. Can Joseph fulfill Nolie’s darkest fantasy? Will they renew the spark that has gone out or will the reality of Nolie’s fantasy be too much for her?

This short story is fast paced and keeps the readers interest from the beginning to the end. The depth of trust and love between Nolie and Joseph is very evident, especially when she trusts Joseph enough to fulfill her fantasy. The emotional ride that Nolie takes during their playtime is in intense one. She is a smart woman who learns about herself and what she enjoys sexually. As Nolie and Joseph play out their game you can see the love and trust that they have in each other. Their relationship is one that many of us would love to have. One that is open and honest with partners that are willing to do and try different things for each other. Karenna Colcroft writes a wonderful tale of a beautiful marriage. This is a well-written story and should not be missed.

Will this golden dragon-shifting lord win the game of love?

Lady Sabine knows that laughing golden eyes alone cannot keep her safe. Lord Berg has yet to prove himself worthy of her hand, failing every secret test she has given him. She issues one last challenge to the dragon shifter. If he succeeds, he will win her love. If he fails, she will walk away from him forever.

This is the kind of short story I like. Good plot structure, believable conflict, and passionate romance; all wrapped up in a book that can easily be read as a bedtime story.

One of my favorite parts of this story is that the female characters don’t need rescuing. In this story they are strong, resourceful, and capable. It is refreshing to see women like this in stories.

The sex is varied and passionate, and often times playful. The reader can tell the characters are comfortable with each other and enjoy the other’s company.

Overall, an excellent story and I highly recommend it.

Blurb:
In the early 20th Century, a pair of North Carolina mountain children sow the seed of a love that becomes their only solace in the hard yet beautiful world they know. They grow it from steep ground of poverty, ignorance, and violence. A landscape so brutal it can kill hope long before claiming life.

Bloodshed years later finally sends Frank Locke on the run, deep into wilderness, abandoning his extraordinary love, Mary Lizbeth. When a whitewater river washes this desperate soul into the hands of Sophia, he discovers a luminous woman steeped in mystery, trapped in a tragically brilliant life. Far ahead of her time. Secreted from the world. As she awakens Frank's mind, they rise to meet a love that binds three people for a lifetime.

This love triangle forms a beauty no one sees coming. From the wilds of Appalachia, crossing nearly a century, it runs deep into a lush American fortune, and lives in letters of adoration and hope of the least expected.

Review:
She-Rain is unlike any book that I have read before. While reading the beginning of the book, I must confess I wasn't really sure if it was my kind of book or not. As I continued to read on, it was like something just clicked within me. The writing style, the plot and most importantly, the characters, captured my heart and held on until the final page. This will not be a short review so let me begin with the writing style. I haven't read very many books that have reached the caliber that She-Rain has. It has been said many times that this book is poetic. The words in this book were compelling and genuine. The imagery was magnificent and I could find myself feeling as though I were really there with Frank and his mother or Mary Lizbeth. This book was powerful and eloquently written. It is evident that the author had poured his heart and soul into She-Rain.

Now on to the plot. When I first picked up this book, I thought "there is no way that any author can make a love triangle seem anything but tawdry". I was sorely mistaken. This is not the story of a man stringing two women along. She-Rain is about a love that Frank finds with two very distinctively different women. Mary Lizbeth is a girl that Frank has secretly loved for so very long. They have much in common with each other and both come from humble beginnings. Sophia on the other hand, holds a different kind of interest for Frank. She is a young woman who has been kept from society because of her color. Her parents had wanted to shield her from bigotry that they knew others would bestow upon their dear daughter. Sophia has been educated and has all that she could want other than friends. She is a very lonely woman. When Sophia learns of Mary Lizbeth, she begins to correspond with her and the two become very good friends with one thing in common, Frank. She Rain will push you beyond your way of thinking and present to you a very pure love that is seldom seen.

I could relate very well with the characters in this book. The one part of the book that held a lot of emotion for me was when Frank's father would beat him for no reason. As he matured, he grew to hate his father for how Frank Sr. treated he and his mother. The bond that Mary Lizbeth and Frank had was very touching. They were there for each other no matter what. Sophia's character brought a lot of conflicted emotions in me but I soon found myself being enamored by her and the lengths she would go to for the love of Frank.

She-Rain is a spellbinding, well written book that I see having a very prosperous future. Mr. Cogdill went above and beyond with the storytelling and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. I highly recommend this book to anyone. If at first you find that you don't think it will be your kind of book, just hang in there, continue reading the book, you will LOVE it. She-Rain is a very unique book that intrigued me, challenged me and fulfilled me. I feel as though It is a book of hope, love, tragedy and survival. You don't want to miss this book and I guarantee this book is worth every penny. Mr. Cogdill, you have my sincere appreciation of your writing and I hope to read many more books from you in the future.
