When Lacey Whitman buys a restored Victorian home, she never dreams discovering an antique diary will lead her back to sea and into the arms of the dive bum she’d rather forget. Her habit of living in the past comes to a screeching halt as diver Max Bertrand and the diary of his ancestor take Lacey on the quest of a lifetime: To discover and raise the privateer ship, Specter, and bring the treasure and legacy of a true hero home again. But will finding it cost her heart?

Who doesn't love a romance with treasure hunting wrapped in it? I enjoyed this well written, entertaining story. Ms. Thorne really does a superb job telling a story. Lacey is a good woman who gets caught up in the history of ancient pirates. She ends up finding secret treasure in her yard which leads her back to the dive bum who got under her skin. At first I didn't want to like Max and truly I didn't like him until towards the end. As you figure Max out a bit more you realize he's lived under the shadow of his ancestors all of his life. They turn out to be a great pair and the chemistry between them is great. I loved the whole pirate, missing treasure story line and I especially loved where the Specter was hidden. Such a good ending to the story too. Left me wondering if there will be a sequel.

She was one step away from a hanging, not because of anything she'd done, but because of who she was.

He was one step closer to capturing the most notorious outlaw in Texas.
When U.S. Marshal Trey Thornton saves Charlotte "Charlie" Daughtry from a lynch mob, he plans to use her as bait to capture her father and brothers. One thing stood in his way, he fell in love with the outlaw's daughter.

Charlie felt stirrings deep in her heart for the handsome lawman. She wished he could look beyond the Daughtry name and see her for who she truly was - someone who desperately yearned to be loved by him. But could she love a man who wanted to send her father and brothers to the gallows?

I think this story is good at reminding us not to judge someone by their family, or their name. I really enjoyed Ms. Hampton's story about love and redemption. Charlie is a spunky younger sister who wants to find the good in her father and brothers, but deep in her heart she knows they are dangerous. Trey is a strong and good law man. He thinks he can use Charlie to smoke out her family and instead falls in love with her. I love that at the end his love for her allows him the ability to let her brothers escape. This is a good western story.

Marielle Jones has been hired to drive eight-year old Tyler, his ten-year old sister Mickey, and their maternal grandmother on a camping trip across Oregon. When Tyler claims someone pushed him into a river, she doubts it. But when their party is shot at in a lava cave and Tyler's horse is spooked while he's riding on the Oregon dunes, Marielle begins to wonder: What's going on here? Who wants Tyler dead? And why?

Add the mystery of the kids' missing mother, the suspicious actions of their grandmother, and the puzzling attention of a fellow camper, and Marielle is thrown into amateur sleuth mode. And where does a lazy, mixed-breed hound, an elegant purebred one, and a suave college instructor fit into the picture? It all comes together in the musty, dark corridors of an historic old military fort.

This story is a great example of never knowing what will happen next. I admit to knowing at least one of the bad guys when I met him in the story. Ms. Evlin does a great job of telling a story. Really in telling a story that takes many twists and turns. It's well worth the time to read it. Marielle is a strong woman character who isn't afraid to go into a new adventure. She takes on two kids and their Grandma, and takes them camping. I love the relationship that comes out of the driving trip between Marielle and Josh. I really love the last few lines about leaning on him for a long time. How sweet. The intrigue woven throughout just made the story a pleasure to read.

At eighteen, Senth Antonello already holds a lofty position in the elite Thieves' Guild. Drugged since puberty to suppress his feral half-feline side, nothing suppresses his other half, a daredevil who lives for risk. Before his master hires him out to a Better, an enhanced woman with addictive, pleasure-laced pheromones, the man offers him a deal too good to pass up. Finish the job successfully and he will buy Senth's older brother and free him. The job? Grab-and-go. The downside? Senth must remain a virgin, no matter how beautiful or tempting the woman.

Captain NarrAy Jorlan is twenty-five, a career officer, and determined to regain the technology stolen from her murdered parents. She hires a pro to steal it back. Unlike most Betters, NarrAy masters her powerful sex pheromones that addict her partners to her. Yet every moment with this sexually inexperienced young thief makes her wetter, hungrier, and more eager to taste and touch every part of his body. Surely she can steal a kiss or two from a thief without losing control. Can't she give in just a little, without risking him being at the mercy of her pleasure?

This story started out as pretty standard sci-fi fare; strange technology, alien races, and varied cultures all mixing in a vivid urban landscape. All lorded over by an Evil Interplanetary Overlord; challenged only by a small resistance of spunky rebels.

Senth is cute and very likable, and it is easy to see him as a young innocent teenager who – all things considered – seems to have lead a rather sheltered life. NarrAy by contrast is jaded and realistic about the world and all its ills.

The sex is abundant. In fact I question how the Empress has time to run her kingdom. That said there is more then enough variety to keep anyone happy.

Overall, I wish I could recommend reading this book, but I must instead recommend reading it twice. The ending is a serious twist that throws everything into a different light. I won’t ruin it by saying any more then that.

She responds to an advert in the local paper—Room to let, wanted, girl to share. What she doesn’t realize is that the two insanely gorgeous guys who live in the penthouse apartment really do want a girl to share, in every sense of the word. Fortunately for Ariane, rent is the last thing on their minds.

She discovers the men are bound together by a turbulent past. Liam, a computer whiz, keeps a painful secret hidden beneath his buff exterior, whilst Quinn, a pioneering neurosurgeon, wonders if he’ll ever meet a woman who can live with his controlling ways. They admit the one thing missing from their lives is a woman just like Ariane, who can handle them both in and out of the bedroom and who, together, they can keep satisfied, loved and most of all, safe.

When Ariane Arlington discovers incriminating records on her would be lover's computer, she takes matters into her own hands and notifies the authorities. Fearing for her life, she leaves everything behind and runs. Penniless and searching for a place to stay, she stumbles across an advertisement, responds, and finds a lot more than she could have imagined.

Liam and Quinn are the closest of friends thanks to their shared history, but aren't attracted to each other, a very uncommon element in a typical menage. Neither can devote themselves completely and decide sharing one woman is the perfect answer.

I was pleased with the level of emotion Ms. Harlem brought to the story. While Liam and Quinn have an inseparable bond, there is absolutely nothing sexual between them. Each trusts the other to take care of Ariane without thinking twice and for Liam his next day could be his last. Sultry love scenes that breathe off the page make Shared a You Gotta Read for fans of the genre and those who may be looking to read something out of their comfort zone.

When Jude’s own dark secret comes to light, she begins to question her deal with the devil and wonder if she and Jude can make it…or if they’ll die trying.

Deal With the Devil by Evangeline Anderson is an extremely touching novel that manages to address a highly sensitive subject without being offensive. Without delving into the heart of story itself, the main character, Luz Velez has a few issues from her youth to overcome and Ms. Anderson uses her hero, Jude Jacobson, to help Luz battle her fears. As Jude and Luz struggle to overcome the past trauma and betrayals, they try to build a relationship with each other both despite and because of their differences. Yet it is those same differences that cause their families and friends to try to keep them apart. Unfortunately, racisim still exists and dating outside your species is not accepted regardless of your age and maturity.

It is this secondary theme that truly shows Ms. Anderson's mastery. She does such a compelling job showing the bitterness and hatred between vampires and the wolves as they illustrate that racism and bigotry is not limited to skin color. Even Luz is initially hesitant to follow her heart, falling back on old beliefs and teachings to guide her actions and thoughts. It is only when Jude is in jeopardy that she knows her heart.

Never forget that this is above and beyond an erotic novel, it still has all the elements of a true romance, so expect and be prepared for tastefully written, yet steamy love scenes. Added to Ms. Anderson's mastery are a wonderful plot with fascinating characters, a superb storyline, surprise ending and snappy dialogue. Even a little wounded, Luz is force to be reckoned with, as Jude discovers. This is a wonderful novel, one not to be missed.

Three lovers. Two days. One bed-
Angie Wilson is a lucky girl. She loves her job, her life, and her man, Rick Craig. What red-blooded woman wouldn't revel in the attentions of a good-looking, athletic boyfriend who's secure enough to encourage her most adventurous appetites?
One of the worst heat waves in memory has hit town, and by Friday Angie is ready to really let loose. Craig and his best friend, Mark, are chilling on the patio with cold beer when she gets home from work, and the three get comfortable. As the night moves on and the talk turns to sex, Angie longs for more than just cool air on her bare skin.
And the heat's making her just crazy enough to go for it-

Sometimes a week-end can offer a simple respite, sometimes it can offer much more, and sometimes it can change your life. It certainly changes the lives of three friends as we see in Sasha White's novella of the same name. In One Weekend all it takes is a heat wave and a little alcohol, before you know it a few inhibitions disappear and then all bets are off. Next comes a glimpse of skin here, a loss of clothing there, a suggestion and the friendship dynamics change. The next thing they know what was once a couple becomes a little more. Sasha White is the queen of writing about strong women, equally strong men and unique situations and she does not disappoint us with this latest story.

I loved everything about Angie: she is bold without being overt or brassy, sweet but never passive. A perfect foil for the two men in her life. And let's not forget the men, as always, Ms. White writes character driven novels that are definitely erotica, but still manage to retain a level of sensitivity at the same time. Just like Angie, Rick and Mark manage to come together so effortlessly, everything meshes together perfectly in One Week-end: the dialogue, love scenes, characters all merge to create the ideal breathe of fresh air, just what is needed for our own week-end break. This is the perfect book to add a little spice to any book collection.

This book is one to sink your teeth into. It's long with lots of action and romance. A western romance is just a great book to begin with, and then you add great characters and a suspenseful unknown villain and you have the makings of a great story. You then add a damsel who really isn't in distress, because she's happy to take care of herself. Add in a family secret and a love undeclared and you have a fantastic book. I didn't know who the villain was until he was revealed and I was disappointed in the villain. I wanted it to not be him.

Danger and passion stalk the cool southern nights.

When Diana Matthews waited on Francisco Bolle at Electronic Avenue, she never imagined the dangerous world of vampires was more than mere myth. Nor did she imagine one would come to her rescue when three thugs confronted her after work. Fascinated with his old world charm, Diana can't resist being drawn to Francisco even though his true nature is as frightening as it is fascinating.

Francisco Bolle is intrigued by the feisty, petite sales clerk. But when an old enemy returns to challenge the laws of Vampire society, danger and death might come between them. Diana had just started to accept what he is when the worst side of himself surfaces.

Can Francisco and Diana survive the danger? More importantly, can they survive their love?

There's just something about a good book to curl up with that makes everything just right, and you have to love a writer that understands this concept. Luckily, Delilah K. Stephens definitely did not forget to include anything when writing The Envoy adding interesting characters, sparkling dialogue, plenty of action and steamy sex scenes to her novel to insure maximum entertainment for her readers. And did I mention a sexy vampire to curl up with on that balmy night? Francisco Bolle has all the charm of an old world vampire, old fashioned manners paired with the modern crime fighting abilities of a James Bond. Is it any wonder the book's heroine, Diana Matthews, is so conflicted?

There was something so fascinating about The Envoy, the interaction between the main characters Francisco and Diana and the equally entertaining secondary characters that just elevated the novel to a higher level. Without giving away too much of the story, I truly enjoyed Ms. Stephan's inclusion of vampire history and lore and how that factored into the moral decisions the different characters make in the story. I found her use of subplots masterful, and the vampire history just as interesting and imaginative. In a time when so many authors are venturing into the paranormal/vampire genre it takes a brave one to dive into a crowded pool, but it does help to stand head and shoulders above the rest! Congrats!

When a threat to India has her in constant contact with Marc, the lure of the curvy older woman is too much to ignore. But when both men raise the stakes and ask for more than just a fling, will India play it safe to protect her heart, or will she take another chance on love?

Can a woman expire from too much pleasure? Hopefully not, as I am not only referencing the main character of Conquering India, but also myself. I enjoyed this book from the very beginning when Wade and India first meet in the elevator, to the very end. It was fun, funny, poignant, incredibly romantic yet it still managed to be blistering hot. Yes, it is about a multiple partner relationship, but there is something about the relationship dynamics of this novel, that transformed what is a threesome into something that seems almost, well wholesome. Perhaps, it is the setting, staging the story in Middle America Texas, with normal everyday people that makes it seem somehow normal and “okay.” Or maybe it is just Ms. Schroeder's ability to create a story, write a scene and fashion characters using dialogue that mesh so well together and make what is not really commonplace appear almost typical.

And did I mention fun? The interplay between the three characters is a true joy to behold. Keeping in mind the limited time, Ms. Schroeder manages to provide an unbelievably concise and credible background for each character: explaining their little idiosyncrasies and actions and how they impact their current behaviors. Wade is the jokester, Marc more serious and India has her own demons, together they made the perfect family, if only they will acknowledge it. Add a little danger with a stalker ex-husband, some humorous secondary characters, a few other challenges to overcome, and a perfect novel is created. While I did not cry tears of sadness while reading Conquering India, I had several tearful moments resulting from its sheer hilarity. I'll take the laughter any day!

As embarrassing as it is for her to admit to herself, she knows she'd like to get a whole lot more than just a tattoo from him? and she soon discovers the feeling may be mutual!

For anyone who has ever had a secret fondness or desire for a tattoo, either wanting to have one or lusting after someone who has their own, Ink Me is the book for you. Ms. Wolfe managed to create two very likable characters when she envisioned Paul and Marie. It is impossible to remain separate or aloof from their lives, either past or present, and the reader finds as the story progresses that the tattoos are not merely body art, they are also an venue for the characters to both express and hide themselves at the same time. We discover that the tattoos are a release of sorts, both mental and physical, for their joy and pain.

I found great enjoyment in Ms. Wolfe's attention to detail, and her eloquence in describing the processes involved in inking tattoos, and how that physical closeness contributed to the magnetism between Marie and Paul. I am not sure what was more fun, wondering what was going to happen next between them or just “assuming” what the inevitable would be and anticipating it. Ink Me takes the heroine's deep hidden desires and brings them out into the open for us to see and experience. Like any voyeuristic trip to the psychiatrist's couch I found that experience exciting, scary, enlightening and at times arousing. Will it be the same for you? Haley Dixon's trapped a demon -- but every spell has its price, and turn about's fair play. Taron, the fifth heir of the Severin Dynasty, just may be exactly what she needs.

This book did nothing for me. The story is fairly thin, the characters are inconsistent, and every sex scene is rape. First, while the idea of summoning a demon/god/etc. for sex is not original by any means, that isn’t what makes the story thin. The problem lies in the fact that this simple concept is only partly extrapolated on. It is hinted that he is not a demon, and lives in another dimension rather then Hell; but what he is and where he lives are never explained.

Second, Haley has many scenes where she does not react rationally to what is happening. For example, there is a point where she faces a ghoul-zombie type creature. She logically runs and hides and ultimately screams to be rescued. But in the very next scene, she is confronted by another creature who is arguably far more powerful, and she becomes a mouthy bitch quite convinced of her own superiority.

Finally, I have said before how I feel about rape. It is not sexy, not in the least. I do understand the appeal of a rape fantasy, but only when it is a fantasy and the characters both know this.

Overall, I think this story could use some work.

For fifteen years Luke Moore has lived by three rules: stay off his father's radar, never spend more than a single night with any man, and never fall in love again. But one night of explosive sex and two men whom he can’t get out of his head have Luke breaking them all. Richard and Matthew push him past all his boundaries—both sexually and personally—and now he’s no longer hiding from his senator father; he’s taking him on. And he isn’t just falling for one man; he’s falling for two. If you're going to break the rules, might as well break them big.

But Luke’s father has his reasons for hating how his son lives, and he’ll do whatever he can and use all his power to keep Luke away from Richard and Matthew.

Can this threesome find a way to make their unconventional relationship last with the world around them trying to pull them apart? And will Luke be able to keep breaking his rules for Richard and Matthew, or will he head back to his familiar way of life just when his new lovers want to bind him tighter?

I very much enjoyed this story. Ms. Parker has managed to create a believable suspense story with vivid and amazing characters and a plot line that keeps you entertained. I found myself completely invested in these characters and thoroughly shocked at the story’s resolution. It hooked me from the very beginning, and I found myself unable to put it down.

Luke’s spent most of his adult life running – from his politician father and the demands he makes, and from his own heart. He spends a great deal of time skipping from man to man and sating his lust at a club called The Haven, all while following his own set of rules. It’s not until he allows himself to bend and then break those rules that his life changes forever.

I really liked Luke. The story’s told from his first person point of view, and I had no trouble seeing things as he described them. The allusions he makes to his “stalkers” and his father help to build the suspense and make you wonder from the very beginning just what the hell’s going on and how screwed up his life is.

The world was very well built and the other characters were well put together. Their interactions once they settle into the relationship were nicely done. I liked that things were all sunshine and roses. After all making a threesome work can’t be easy. Although it did surprise me as much as Luke that there were no jealousy issues between them…even if that did work in their favor. I will admit that it made the sex scenes a lot hotter to hear Luke describe how much he enjoyed and was aroused by Richard and Matthew together than it would have been to hear him complain about being left out.

Overall this was a very enjoyable work. The characters were vibrant, the world held up well, and the plot line was believable. Definitely a book I would recommend to anyone looking for some hot guy on guy on guy action with a neat little plot thrown in.

Willa Amber has long known she was a sexual submissive at heart, so it wasn't the open BDSM practiced at the exclusive House of MonMarte that sent her stomach plummeting. It wasn't even the knowledge that most of the Masters and Mistresses were more – or less – than human. No, what sent shivers down her spine was being so close to, yet so far from, Victor Breon. Vampire and Dom, Master Victor has had his eye on Willa for a long time; long enough to know that she belongs to him, body and soul. Now he just needs to prove it to her.

There isn’t much to say about this one, it’s just a short erotica story. This one is fairly intense in the BDSM arena, so may not be for everyone. If you aren’t into whips, this probably isn’t the story for you.

There is not much reason for Victor to be a vampire, beyond that vampires are popular right now. He doesn’t bite her or even draw blood in any manner.

Overall, it’s not a bad story, but erotica – especially with a spectrum like BDSM – is highly subjective.

Monsters are real, and they stand before me pretending to be human...

Caught in a world of vampires, dark desires and addiction, Angela Cross has walked on the edge of the surreal and found herself in a struggle for her own heart. Drawn to two dangerous men, Angela must make the choice between a life with vampires or a life against them. Will she succumb to the immortal's desire...or will she become the hunter?

What makes a monster, and what makes a man? It is an interesting question, and one this story addresses it very well. Three men are presented, a vampire, a half-vampire, and a hunter. But the hunter is not necessarily the man, nor are the vampires absolute monsters by default.

But, the character I find the most compelling is Angela herself, who she is and who she becomes. It is rare and refreshing to see so much character development in so few pages. I wish I could say more, but I’m afraid I will give away the plot doing so. I will say this though, I like how her experiences color her view of the world at the end.

The sex is okay. It is rushed and glossed over in places, almost like it was tacked on as an afterthought in some places.

Overall, this is a solid story that has a fairly original take on the vampire genre. I highly recommend this story.

A lone wolf is a dangerous creature, until he meets his mate. Then he’ll become lethal to protect her.

Faith Anderson never asked to be a wolf shifter, but one strange encounter with the Westervelt Wolves and she suddenly has a past she knows nothing about and a future wrought with danger. No one is more disappointed than she to discover that the island does not hold a mate for her…that is, until she collides with Theo Kane, the missing prince of the Westervelt Wolves who has chosen isolation to save his pack from what he believes are his insane tendencies.

Theo couldn’t imagine anything worse than the near death experience that left him scarred and forever changed. Until some of the same things start happening to Faith. Now he has no choice but to face what he has avoided for over a year if he doesn’t want the past to repeat itself, this time taking Faith along for the ride. Together they will battle demons, invisible wolves, and worst of all his father to find their eternal love.

But if the price is eternity, are they willing to risk it all?

Ever since Theo was burned by a demon he has existed in his self-imposed isolation from the pack. That all changes the day he is attacked in the woods and runs into Faith. As it turns out Faith is his mate and he cannot continue to hide anymore. Theo must learn to accept what he has been hiding from ever since the demon burned him. Will Theo run away and hide or will Faith and Theo find their happy ever after?

This book had me right from the start. Faith is a strong willed and smart woman willing to fight for what she loves. Theo is a tortured soul that must learn to stand again but this time he has the help of his mate. I loved Faith and her feistiness. The bond that develops between these two is a wonderful read. As Theo and Faith deal with finding each other they must also deal with Theo’s father and his minions. The love and belief that they both show for each other was a great read. Each mated couple loves with such depth and Faith and Theo are no different as the reader can see with each sacrifice Faith and Theo are prepared to make for the other.

Rebecca Royce does a good job of pulling the reader into the magical world of the Westervelt Wolf pack. Not only do we get to read the story of Faith and Theo but we also get to visit with past mated couples and the other brothers as well. Well written and fast paced this is a book that should not be missed. I have enjoyed every single book in this series and I am eagerly awaiting the next one in the Westervelt series.
