Raised in an atmosphere of violence and unpredictability, Ellen and Gail Morgan have banded together, survivors of a booze-fertilized battleground, forming a fierce united front against an often cold and uncaring world. When their parents are killed in a car crash, Ellen becomes the mother figure for Gail.

When fifteen years later Gail is brutally raped and murdered in her shabby New York basement apartment, practically on the eve of her big breakthrough as a singer, Ellen is inconsolable. Rage at her younger sister's murder has nearly consumed her. So when her work as a psychologist wins her an appearance on the evening news, Ellen seizes the moment. Staring straight into the camera, she challenges the killer to come out of hiding: "Why don't you come after me? I'll be waiting for you."

Phone calls flood the station, but all leads go nowhere. The police investigation seems doomed to failure. Then it happens: a note, written in red ink, slipped under the windshield wipers of her car, 'YOU'RE IT.' Ellen has stirred the monster in his lair … and the hunter has become the hunted!

Review
As I sit here and write this review, all I can say is WOW! This is one heck of an exciting, edge of your seat read! Nowhere to Hide had EVERYTHING you could want in a suspenseful thriller. The character development in this book is unreal. Each character complemented the other perfectly and the plot line was exquisitely written. I was actually holding my breath long before the ending. My mind kept trying to figure out which direction the plot might go. Ms. Hovey has done an incredible job of getting into the mind of a serial killer. The descriptions of the serial killer and the twisted way his mind worked kept me turning the pages as fast as I possibly could. This book was 156 pages jam packed with action, adventure and every emotion imaginable to man. If you haven't gotten this book yet, I highly suggest you do. You will not be disappointed as this is one of the best thrillers I have read yet.

A woman is viciously betrayed by her unfaithful husband and left for dead. She is rescued by a widower not interested in love. But he offers her shelter, purpose, and passion. She offers herself. But she never expected his best friend to offer her marriage! One woman, three very different men. Life is about CHOICES.

Review:
A Woman of Choice was a fascinating historical read that turned out to be quite the page turner. Set in 1819, I was transported to an era that I don't usually read about. Sydney's character was funny, quirky and so unlike what a proper lady should have been. Sydney is just the type of strong character I love to see in a heroine. Nicolas was strong, protective and oh so yummy. Nicolas is a man that has been hurt on a very primal level and he does all he can to protect his heart, until Sydney comes along. I don't want to give away too much of the book because there are so many interesting and unexpected twists and turns. The romance between Sydney and Nicolas was certainly one of imperfection. They simply sizzled together. The ending is amazing and will definitely leave you wanting to buy the second book in the series. A Woman of Choice is certainly a book that is now on my keeper list. Kris Tuala writes an intriguing historical romance that is sure to sweep you off your feet. A must read!

Daphne and Angel have recently escaped the authorities and have returned to the states, after Angel has killed several rare and endangered birds. They feel sure they're safe and make plans to return to Daphne's new home in Pittsburg, PA, where she plans to report for work at the National Aviary. The plan soon changes, however, when they realize that things are far worse than they ever imagined. They're being hunted by the FBI and must get out of the country again, and fast.

In a small suburb of Pittsburg, Angel's brother Benedicto is wiling away one of his nine lives masquerading as a housecat until he suddenly senses the presence of his brother who he had long assumed dead or lost to him forever. Now he must risk his own hide and identity to transform into a man and hunt for him and have the courage to reveal his true nature and identity to his one true love, Rachel.

What Angel and Benedicto soon discover is that the love of these women is the key that brought them together and they learn the nature of love can break the curse that's bound them for centuries.

Review:

On the run from Costa Rican authorities, Daphne and Angel escape to the U.S only to find they are wanted by the FBI for Angel's crimes. Ready to run again, Angel senses his brother Benedicto nearby. He insists he and Daphne try to convince him to seek out his brother Constantino in Brazil in order to break the curse which forces the three men to shift into cat form to maintain their strength.

Benedicto is content to while away his existence as his love, Rachel's, housecat Fluffy. Can Rachel accept his shapeshifting existence and will she be willing to leave her comfortable life behind to follow her love into the jungles of Brazil?

Another quick spicy story continues this series, picking up right where the first book left off. Rachel and Benedicto relationship comes on just a bit too quickly for this reader, but given the circumstances they are in, it's still plausible. Rachel has known Fluffy for years, but now she's virtually seeing him as a stranger. Yet she trusts him enough to take him as a lover and allow him to turn her. All in all, I'm interested to see how this series will end.

Review:

Daphne Van Ness finally landed her dream job working with rare birds at the Nation Aviary near her home in Pittsburgh. While traveling to Costa Rica to pick up a mating pair of a rare bird species, feline hater Daphne hits a small black cat while driving on a road cutting through dense vegetation. Knowing she can't leave it there, she accepts the grizzly task of cleaning up the cat. Tossing the cat in the trunk, she's alarmed when loud thumping noises start coming from the back. Kane, a warrior of the Morrigan tribe, is bound to a baigh-duil. He needs a witch to help him send the soul-devouring monster back to its own realm, and he's willing to bargain.

It seems like a fair trade--the herb for help with a single spell. But
what will Tara do when she realizes Kane can only perform sex magic and
death magic?

Review:

When Blake Toximmo lost her husband and infant son she nearly lost herself as well. But she’s back among the living, fighting to start her life again and find happiness. Her plans for reconstructing her world are drastically changed when she is abducted by Arden Woods, a sexy, sweet climber who she befriending during a mountain climb. In a whole new world, Blake finds herself not only surrounded by new things, but also by people who aren’t quite human.

Arden and Quin are elves living in a world that’s not giving them everything they need.

They are happy as a couple, but they are missing something and long for a family only a human woman can give. Even with the best intentions at heart, Arden and Quin don’t quite know how to make Blake happy. To make them the family all three need, they’ll have to learn what exactly that means to each of them.

This is a good story, it fits well as erotica without drifting into porn. The characters are interesting and interact well with each other. I like how Blake treated as a real person, one who is freaked out when she is kidnaped.

Arden and Quin are a good contrast to each other, both physically and personality wise. Arden is blonde and sweet and sensitive, while Quin is tall, dark and stoic. There is a weird personality switch towards the end, making Quin the more sensitive one, but it kind of works.

It is a bit short, and a bit rushed at times. More time could have fleshed out the characters a bit more. There is very little description of the setting, especially outside the house, and this can make the characters feel like they are ungrounded.

The sex is good and playful enough to be fun even after several scenes.

Overall, I recommend this story, it’s fun and does erotica right.
