The dragons of Starlight have been enslaving humans for over a century. At long last, warrior Adrian Masters and sword maiden Marcelle vow to find the mysterious portal where the Lost. Ones disappeared---and save the slaves. Will they turn back when they learn that only the ultimate sacrifice can bring freedom to the oppressed?

Expert swordsman Adrian Masters attempts a dangerous journey to another world to rescue human captives who have been enslaved there by dragons. He is accompanied by Marcelle, a sword maiden of amazing skill whose ideas about how the operation should be carried out conflict with his own. Since the slaves have been in bonds for generations, they have no memory of their origins, making them reluctant to believe the two would-be rescuers, and, of course, the dragons will crush any attempt to emancipate the slaves. Set on two worlds separated by a mystical portal, Masters and Slayers is packed with action, mystery, and emotional turmoil, a tale of heart and life that is sure to inspire.

Dragons and Humans and Fantastic Fights, Oh My!

Bryan Davis has created a wonderful world filled with endearing characters, evil villains and the quest for freedom.

Adrian is a peasant and a warrior in search of his missing brother and a way to free a group of people held captive for generations.

Marcelle is from a noble family and is also a warrior, she is also searching for a way to free the slaves on Dracon but she is much more impetuous than Adrian.

Add the strange girl Cassibre to the mix, she is a starlighter and one of the servants of the dragon Arxad.

Will this odd band of adventurers find the key to freeing the slaves?

Masters & Slayers is a wonderful story. The characters are well developed and continue to evolve as the story progresses. The scenes in the story are described in vivid detail. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in the series. Bryan Davis has created a wonderful world and a fantastic tale in Masters & Slayers.

  1. I was delighted to see this review. Thank you so much for your kindness. I haven't written the next book in this series, The Third Starlighter, but I will very soon, and it should be out by the end of the year.

    Thanks again. :-)
