At twenty-eight, Maddie James has risen through the ranks of Goldstein Rivers, an investment bank, to achieve great success.

All that changes when she receives a demand for half a million dollars for the safe return of her sister. Torn between her allegiance to her job, and the demands of the kidnappers, she secretly wires the money, hoping to replace it with the sale of her house.

When thirty-six-year-old, wealthy businessman, Keaton Rivers, discovers the money missing from his company, he suspects Maddie. Will he throw her to the wolves, or find another way for her to repay the debt?

As a Dom, Keaton knows Maddie would make the perfect submissive. From the very first moment he laid eyes on her, he'd wanted her. Only this time it will be on his terms…

To save her career, will Maddie make a deal with the Dom?

Maddie has given it all up to save her sister but she finds that her sister has fooled her once again. When she finds herself in debt and bound to her boss Maddie vows that this is the last time she will ever fall for her sister's act again.

I enjoyed the interaction between Maddie and Keaton. Maddie is a strong willed person who does what she thinks she has to in order to save her sister. Keaton is an interesting man. Always in control of everything including his feelings until Maddie comes along. The two are a great couple and play off of each other very nicely.

Although I enjoyed the story line I had a hard time connecting with the characters. The story is well written and drew me in but I didn't seem to be able to click with the characters. Both Maddie and Keaton are good characters, just not the right ones for me.

Jane Bowles is a great writer and even though Maddie and Keaton weren't my favorites I will be looking at more books by this author to find some characters that are favorites.
