Dancing may be hard…but no one expected it to be murder.
When sexy tap dancer Abigail Carlton, aka Ruby Slippers, is found dead and arranged in an artistic fashion on her coffee table it’s up to Special Agent Quentin Banks to solve her murder.
But nothing is ever as it seems. Not only is Quentin a FBI career man, he doubles as an officer for the Institute of Magical Instruction…and the dancer’s death has super natural energy written all over it.
Quentin must find who murdered Abigail and he only has24 hours to do it before it’s taken over by his superiors.

Review:
Task - Investigate the murder of one Abigail Carlton aka Ruby Slippers killed ritualistically. Not a problem for Special Agent Quentin Banks, accustomed to living on the edge balancing his life between the magical enforcement league and the FBI. After all murder isn't picky about venue, but this one bridges that gap between the realms of his career and with only twenty four hours to solve the crime, seconds are ticking by. Seriously complicating matters is suspect Jillian Pearson who both intrigues him and disturbs his feelings about the case and his career.
While this story had some romantic elements, it is a paranormal mystery at heart. Filled with vivid imagery and characters that breathe and a plot just twisted enough to keep you guessing. There's a reason why Ms. Sookoo is at the top of many 'must read' lists and this book is just another example of her versatility and ability to drag hers readers into the story. You've gotta read Dead Ruby Slippers!
