Half-demon Jessie Garrett's battles seem endless. While Jeremy, the demon out to win her heart, teaches her how to fight, Jessie's relationship with her vampire lover, Drake, reaches a breaking point. Adding to her struggles, she must defend her life against a group of vampires who consider her a threat to their existence. Held captive on a remote island with both Drake and Jeremy protecting her, she is tested in ways she's never imagined. Jessie fights back; only her actions do more harm than good. The group offers her a choice, but no matter what she decides, her life will change forever.

Jessie is a half demon with the ability to send evil souls straight to hell, the vampire council or VETOV/ Vampires for the ethical treatment of other vampires sees her as a threat. Drake, a VETOV enforcer, and Jessie's lover must bring her before the council to determine her fate. Jeremy, a full blooded fire demon, is determined to protect Jessie and make her his at any cost.

Let me just say, OMG, could you have rung any more emotion from my poor conflicted heart. I adore Drake. But Jeremy gets better with every installment. Jessie is definitely maturing, but really…. How much longer is she going to put up with Dani's crap???? Ms. Abshire is an absolute MASTER at confusing the reader as to who is the more worthy male. An avid fan from the beginning of this series, I am increasingly impressed by the author's ability to manipulate the reader's emotions. Just as I am firmly in camp Drake, she bewitches us into believing Jeremy has the more pure motives.

Fighting Evil was the BEST by far of this series. It was absolutely spellbinding. Jessie really comes into her own as a heroine, putting her own desires aside to save her lover and friends. Firmly holding on to her morals, as a mortal, living with human beliefs of right and wrong, Jessie has evolved into a being, not of impulse, but of righteousness. Jeremy as always is a scamp, but don't we all love the bad boys? He has managed to win my heart, and to be honest, he and Drake are neck and neck. Have plenty of tissues ready for this read because it will definitely pull on some heart strings. Why this book is not on a best seller list is beyond me because clearly this series has everything needed to captivate readers looking for an intelligent and captivating tale of paranormal love and intrigue.
