Sophie works at the Underworld Detection Agency. She is a human immune to magic and is able to help anyone or anything. Moving from her desk job she is assigned to help a detective figure out the recent murders that are happening. Sophie must figure out what is going on in her world as well as in her own life. When her boss disappears Sophie fears the worst. Can Sophie and Parker solve the case before it is to late?
I loved this book. Under Wraps was a great read full of humor. There were so many different paranormal creatures that live and work along with Sophie. The very first sentence alone pulls you right in. Sophie is a great character. She may not be a kick butt heroine but she is a woman who holds her own. Add in the many different species that are introduced in this book, from fairies to werewolves there is bound to be one that you will love. I loved the scene where Sophie finds herself facing off against the bad guy wearing a Snuggie, yep you read it right a Snuggie.
Hannah Jayne pulls the reader into the humorous world of Sophie and her friends and keeps you turning the pages to find out what will happen next. I loved how the author managed to include many of today’s popular culture in this book, from sponge Bob to The View and more. I cannot wait to see what Sophie’s next adventure will be.
