Drawn to the ancient ruins of Troy by haunting, vivid visions of the city before the legendary Trojan War, Genia, an archaeological student, secures a position as a novice digger. Engineered by fate, her position reunites Iphigenia, Achilles and Agamemnon reincarnated into the modern world, with modern lives. After centuries, Iphigenia and Achilles, so cruelly ripped apart, have another chance to fulfill their love. Over the centuries, their subconscious yearnings, soul-shaking love and smoldering passion of star-crossed lovers have become undeniable. Each is drawn to the other at first sight, and they soon become engulfed in the same time slips. Remaining together in the present, they fight the power of the time slips and the Greek warriors of the past, attempting to escape the dark mists that engulf them and the professor, the reincarnation of Agamemnon intent on sacrificing his daughter, Iphigenia. At last their love will have a chance.

Slipping through time is the last thing Genia expected to happen when she travels to Greece to work on the expedition dig in the ancient city of Troy.

I have to say that I loved this story. I was unsure what to expect when I started reading Troy – Lovers In The Mists, but what I found were endearing characters and a story that grabbed me from the first chapter.

My favorite character in the story is actually Aunt Thea. She is a strong woman who knows the passion between Genia and Achilles is written in the stars. She is also matter of fact and sets the “kids” straight when needed.

The hero Achilles is a strong man who fights for the woman he loves, no matter what the cost. He is also willing to face the demons of the past in order to be with Genia.

The heroine Genia is a stubborn woman who is determined to figure out why she is having the visions and dreams that have plagued her for some time. She finds her answers and much more in Greece.

Sultry Summers has taken an ancient story and has given it a modern and delightful twist.

Troy – Lovers In The Mists is a fantastic story. The characters are well written and the scenes are vivid and leap off the page. And the ending – WOW what a fantastic finish.

If you are looking for a story filled with Ancient history, the magic of slipping back and forth through time and dastardly bad guys and fabulous lovers then this one is a book You Gotta Read.
