In times of stress Jillian Descharme has always found calm in her dream of a great white wolf with haunting blue eyes. But she is startled when the visions return and this time seem so real. Late at night he comes to her, speaks to her, touches her. It’s almost as if he’s alive…
Thirty years ago James Macleod lost his wife and unborn child to a killer bent on destroying the Changelings. Though he longed for death, his animal instinct fought for survival and James has been a wolf ever since. Yet now a woman has reawakened the man in him, taming wild instincts but arousing still wilder needs. With his ancient enemy hunting the legendary white wolf, James must fight for new life, new hope, new love.
Changeling Dream is book two in this great series. This book brings us the story of James and Jillian. Many years ago Jillian was attacked by several men and almost killed a white wolf saves her from death. When no one believes her she keeps her story to herself. Jillian hopes that by accepting a job in a different town she can move forward but it seems fate has other plans for her. After years of staying away James finds himself drawn back to town. When a maniac attacked and killed his pregnant wife and almost finished him James never thought to find his human side again, let alone his heart.
This is a wonderful book about two wounded people who find salvation in each other. Jillian is a strong woman. She goes through so much in her life yet she still stands up and fights. James has gone through the most horrific thing that I could imagine and is so vulnerable because of it yet he is more than ready to deal with what comes his way. The two are a wonderful couple and seeing their love grow was a nice read. James and Jillian fight their way to that happy ending and you the reader are right there to cheer them on.
Not only do we get to see James and Jillian’s relationship begin but we also find out why the two go through what they have. I enjoyed meeting many of the secondary characters in this book and seeing the impact that they have. If you have not read the first in this series you may want to check it out while it is not imperative that you read it you will have a better understanding of the world this author has created and I am sure you will enjoy it as much as this book.
