Protect the geek, that’s the job she’s been hired for, but little did this shewolf expect to fall for a man of science.

As a werewolf who hires out as a bodyguard, Lexie is paid well to perform dangerous jobs. When she takes on the protection of a science geek for a vampire clan, she doesn’t expect her temporary girlfriend status to come with lots of pleasure. But a geeky human who pushes all her right buttons—and plays her body oh so right—isn’t reason enough for her to break the rules and fall in love.

Everything changes after an incident in the lab, but before she can decide if it’s safe to give him her heart, she has to help him survive. Warning: Experimenting with a geek at home may cause uncontrollable lust.

Lexie wasn’t thrilled with the idea of guarding a geeky scientist, but the money was too good to turn down. Thrown out of her wolf pack for being too Alpha, she was the quintessential lone wolf, and her work as a security expert fit her just fine. Except for jobs like this. She had to get close to the guy without out him suspecting that Lexie’s there to protect him, thus the old “fake girlfriend” routine. Anthony can’t believe his good fortune when the gorgeous Lexie seems interested in someone like him. It seems way too good to be true. Once Anthony learns his instincts were right, well, let’s just say that things get interesting.

A master of snark, humor and raunchy sex, Eve Langlais has released yet another gem to entertain her multitude of devoted fans. As one of those clamoring hordes, I am particularly enamored with her shifter books. They have that added element of spice that comes with animalistic, “no holds barred”, “pin me to the wall” sex. Although The Geek Job will warm your cockles, it is not from soft, tender touches or flowery, romantic dialogues. It is romance, but it’s the really sweaty kind. Lexie is a great heroine and mean as a snake. As a wolf shifter, she is very uninhibited and breaks down Anthony’s inhibitions as well. Anthony blossoms under Lexie’s tutelage, and by the end of the book, has become an Alpha in his own right. As with all of Eve’s books, there is a great story connecting the sexual encounters. I would read these without all the steaminess, but you don’t turn down a great gift. It is not unusual for me to pick up a new phrase or two from Eve's books, her turn of phrase borders on genius at times. This would be a great way to spend one of those long Autumn nights. It’s an absolute promise that you won’t be bored or chilly.
