Network news anchor Daniel Halstrom is at the top of his field, but being at the bottom of the social ladder--being a slave--makes that hard to enjoy. Especially when NewWorld Media, the company who's owned him since childhood, decides to lease him on evenings and weekends to boost their flagging profits.

Daniel's not stupid; he knows there's only one reason a man would pay so much for what little free time he has, and it's got nothing to do with his knowledge of current events. But he's never been made to serve like that before, and he fears he won't survive the experience with his sanity intact.

He finds himself in the home of Carl Whitman, a talk show host whose words fail him time and again when it comes to ordering Daniel to bed. Daniel knows what Carl wants, but it seems as if Carl isn't willing to take it, and Daniel's not willing to give it freely. His recalcitrance costs him dearly, but with patience and some hard-won

understanding, love just might flourish where once there'd been only fear and pain. Can Carl become the anchor in Daniel's turbulent life, or will he end up the weight that sinks his slave for good?

Review:

Daniel's a slave, owned and controlled without question. When he's handed over to a rival anchor, he expects the worst. I can't really say what I expected from Anchored, but this wasn't it. For one, we had no insight into Carl Whitman's head to know his thoughts and or feelings. And that kept me from really investing in the story. I couldn't really get a read on Daniel-is he gay? No? Strong? Timid? He waffles between the two so well. And since he knows in intimate detail the punishments that await him should he not fulfill his master's every command, why the timid act? Ms. Haimowitz tries to explain that later on in the story, but by then I've already given up. I cared more about Whitman's housekeeper-a slave herself. She appeared more multi-dimensional, more sympathetic. More interesting. As this is book one in a series, I'm crossing my fingers the others are better.

When Forrest learns that he's being transferred to Pontiac, the young paramedic is excited. Not only did he grow up in the Michigan city, but the move will put him closer to his ailing father. Then the night before he leaves Flint, he's viciously attacked in a bar parking lot and nearly dies. After he heals and moves to Pontiac, he vows to put the horrible experience behind him and never speak of it to anyone. He soon finds out that he can't forget that night of terror or the anger that still lingers inside him.

Patrick is new to Pontiac as well. A physician who just moved into the state, he soon finds himself intrigued by the attractive, yet brooding paramedic. As he tries to get closer to Forrest, he is dismayed and annoyed when the punk brushes off his advances. But Patrick has never been one to give up on something he wants and he's never wanted anything more than to finally have Forrest all to himself.

Forrest wants badly to be able to return Patrick's affection, but the attack has left him vulnerable and unable to stand being touched.

Review:

When we first meet Forrest, he's badly beaten, fighting for his life. This reader sprang a tear…or maybe three, at the vicious nature of the attack Forrest had to suffer. And I root for him to make it, to survive, and to fight back. He does…make it-survive, but doesn't really fight back. With good reason. Months later when he's healed physically, he's in a new town with new job, settling in, and catching the eye of a new doctor. With his family life a mess, we so want Forrest to have a chance at happiness, except he's not too keen on taking that step, not when he hates to be touched.

One look at the paramedic and Dr. Patrick wants, but Forrest shuts him down. It takes a third party to open his eyes to why Forrest is running away, and even then Patrick isn't stepping off.

I loved High Flow. This emotional story flowed very well. Despite what he's been through, Forrest is doing his best for his family, though not all appreciates it. He keeps to himself, still reeling from his attack. His attraction for the new doctor isn't welcome, but Patrick isn't taking no for an answer.

Patrick I loved. His strength and willingness to stick by Forrest despite the obvious roadblocks. He doesn't turn away when he hears the truth about Forrest, instead he goes out of his way to make Forrest feel better. Cared for. It's great to see Patrick taking his time to get to know Forrest, coaxing him out of his shell a little bit at a time. This reviewer finished this book with a wide smile.

From Greek to Roman to Norse and everything in between, you will be transported to faraway lands and immersed in the stories of mythical beings and sexy gods and goddesses in this fourteen story eXcessica anthology.

Review:

This is an anthology of over a dozen erotica stories with the only overarching theme being mythology. Now generally with anthology, especially one done by different authors, I review each story individually. However, in this book, no story really stood out from the others. They are all fairly average.

That said, this book is really a grab bag and it is a great mix of stories, from heavy BDSM to a very touching M/M. It also features several other pairings, including menage and voyeur. Some of the mythology is a bit dodgy, but for erotica this really isn't important unless you are an absolute mythology buff.

Overall, I actually recommend this book. While none of the stories excel in their own right, together they make a nice collection with a great variety, good for anyone who want to venture beyond their comfort zone without getting into a full book.

After a very upsetting day, Sera heads to Bar None and the solace of the joint's owners, Nate and Fab, her two best friends who, oh yeah, just happen to be vampires.

Beautiful, well built and in possession of breathtaking animal magnetism, both Nate and Fab can have any woman they want. But Nate told Sera that sex with a human fires a vampire's bloodlust to the point of frenzy, making it clear that a romantic rendezvous with him or the unusually self-controlled Fab is out of the question. Not that Sera, or any other hot-blooded woman, for that matter, wouldn't be game to take the risk.

What do you do when you're in love with two men, but one of them won't touch you because he's afraid he might "love" you to death? When Sera realizes both guys want her as much as she wants them, she teams up with willpower-wizard Fab to convince Nate that a hot, sexy threesome is well worth the danger.

Review:

Sera's best friends, Nate and Fab, have always been there for her when she needed a shoulder to cry on. She had never questioned their feelings until her latest boyfriend turned out to be married. When Sera discovers they are both in love with her, and to her surprise she returns their feelings, she has a very tricky situation on her hands. Oh, and did I mention that Nate and Fab are two gorgeous, sexy vampires.

I so want to have Sera's problems. This was an excellent erotic short story. Well written, in a decidedly graphic tone without compromising the romantic theme at all. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know each of the characters, and would not have minded a bit longer story. Although this is a short story, Ms. Zahara manages to flesh out her characters quite well. In fact this reads like a work that is quite a bit longer, and I didn't feel cheated by the brevity at all.

Nate seemed to play a larger role in the story since he was the one who had the actual problem of having a relationship with a human and Fab was the conduit that allowed the relationship to blossom. I would have enjoyed getting into Fab's head a little more, and that was more of a wish than a complaint. I just enjoyed the chemistry between these three so much, it is actually difficult to critique. The eroticism just permeates each and every page. I guess my over all opinion is "smoking hot".

Allowing him to make love to her, she decides that she'll do whatever he asks, as long as he'll keep her with him -- even if he is a vampire.

Review:

Annabel has given up on life and is committed to ending hers. Poe steps in at the last minute and saves her from that fatal plunge by convincing her that she might have a future. This is a story of love at first sight and a woman's journey to finding self worth.

Technically the story was well written. I definitely had issues with Annabel finding her self-worth through a man she just met. Feminist ideology aside, this was a short, paranormal, erotic fairytale. Suspending most everything I hold true to my heart, this was an enjoyable, albeit unrealistic, quick read. Taken for what it is, an erotic fairytale, it works. The scenes were graphic enough to unclench my gritted teeth as I read the story. This actually was a laudable accomplishment. I could identify with parts of the clinically depressed heroine. However, since it was written in first person, I had no idea where Poe was coming from, other than he instantly fell in love with Annabel.

It is not my intent to sound snarky about this book, and individual tastes differ greatly. If you like being swept off your feet by a dark vampire who gives meaning to your life, this is your story.

Raised to defend his clan and obey his chief, the Hunter warrior Sabin captures an Antelope female. He sees her as a simple creature with the potential to save his people through her spirit-given speed. He will exploit her sexuality to break her down. Soon, under his forceful stimulation, she'll become his sex slave. His unwilling but necessary mate.

Kahsha is far from the near animal Sabin believes her to be. Despite the ropes wrapped around her naked body, she'll resist. Somehow she'll regain her freedom, even if it means killing her captor. If only his touches didn't ignite her sexual flames. If only this woman promised to another didn't desperately need the enemy's body.

Having sex with Kahsha makes Sabin question his task, but without her, the hated Wolverines might destroy his people. He must focus on who he is, a Hunter...

Review:

Sabin of the Hunter People is on a mission, his clan needs speed and the only way to get it is through the Antelope People. Specifically, seducing and impregnating a female Antelope. An unorthodox task to be sure because Sabin's isn't a plan of flowers and champagne or whispered sweet nothings. Nope. He's a more 'capture her, tie her up, and torture her with his sexual skills' kind of guy.

Antelope female Kahsha's life is nothing to write home about. The man she's willed to marry by the Spirits leaves her cold and unsatisfied in bed. She questions this foretelling, but won't go against it, no matter her feelings. She's resigned to her fate, until Sabin captures her.

Ms. Harper held my attention with Brought Down, using great visuals and description, and a quick, seamless flow. Sabin's reasons for his actions are explained, though I would've liked them to be right up front. They were hinted at, bit by bit, throughout the story. Still, Sabin endeared himself to me. He's a warrior, used to following orders, and intent on seeing Kahsha as nothing but a means to an end. An animal. Using the skills taught him for this purpose, he sets out to break her down until she comes to depend on him. Need him. But as is wont to happen, things change. I liked that his conscience had him ready to apologize again and again for what he has to do. For what he must.

I so liked this heroine. Of course, Kahsha hates the man who captures her. And even as her body responds to his strangely gentle touch, she shows her strong-willed, fiery nature. A surprise to Sabin-he expected weak and docile. While she's tied up throughout, it was great to see the pull and push between her and Sabin. The sexual scenes were nicely done, for the setting and overall story, and not too much. A good read I enjoyed.

The first book of the Misfits of the Lore series, Lover's Betrayal challenges everything you thought you knew about vampires and the paranormal. Savvy, sexy, and full of surprises, Lover's Betrayal will keep you guessing right up until the finale.

Review:

Olivia was born a slave to the most influential vampire family in the world. Lucian Santoro was the heir apparent to his father's seat on the Council, but none of that mattered. Olivia and Lucian knew they were destined to be mated for all eternity. If only life were fair. Ripped apart by deceit and conspiracies, can anything bring these two together again?

This is why I read sooooo many books. So that I can find that one shining example of what a GREAT romance should be. I can't begin to express how absolutely enthralled I am of this new series. I want to have an affair with this book. It had everything. Compelling characters, great storylines, some of the best humor ever, off the charts sex, and the emotions it pulls from the reader, OMG, I had to grab a box of Kleenex to keep beside me.

It tackled extremely relevant issues without being at all preachy. It was very up to date and modern. I have read, perhaps thousands of books, from authors on best seller lists that did not come close to the sheer genius of this work. What impressed me the most, if I could pick one thing, is the realistic actions of the characters. Whether paranormal or human, I could envision people reacting exactly as the characters did in this book. That's the key, everything was so natural. This author's vision for her world is spot on.

The characterization in this novel is unparalleled. I fell in love with every new character introduced. I was already anticipating their books. The pairings and options were mind boggling, but oh so tantalizing. There was not one detail this author missed in crafting such a superb tale.

Whether or not you are a fan of paranormal romance, this book transcends all categories. This is a MUST read for any fan of terrific writing. I personally cannot wait for the next book in this series, and it definitely will go on my favorite and multiple rereads shelf.

Lucifer Morningstar is a law-abiding, upstanding gentleman of New York City.

Lucifer Morningstar is the Devil.

The owner of powerful magic, Lucifer could have the world at his feet, if not for his apathy and loneliness. But he's finally found a reason to survive, someone to stand by him through the rough and smooth of his life, to care for and have care for him. He's found a new wife.

Clarissa opens Lucifer's eyes to the darkest side of the real world. It's not a pretty sight, full of paedophiles, murderers, rapists and thieves, all of which are personified in her ex-boyfriend. Can Clarissa convince Lucifer to do more than stand back and watch the world fall apart?

The Devil will do anything to fix Clarissa's world. And he will kill anything, God, Demon or Angel, that gets in his way.

Review:

Lucifer Morningstar, the king of Hell, does not like to be called the devil. In fact. Although he reigns in Hell, he spends most of his time living in New York City. He resembles a sunburned beach bum, with his ruddy complexion, tousled blond hair, and sapphire blue eyes. That is, when he's hiding his wings, tail and claws. He's not much of a fighter, he prefers guns, and he loves to cook and read sci-fi/fantasy novels.

Clarissa Avario is an ex gang banger and former second in command of the Hellraisers. Since she broke ranks, she is now on their hit list with a huge bounty on her head. When her former gang catches her in an alley, Lucifer is drawn to the feisty woman, who is a doppelganger for his dead wife Sera. Together these two rewrite everything ever thought about the Judeo-Christian religion.

In order to enjoy this book, you must suspend any religious teachings, and be extremely open minded. This book pushes boundaries that I didn't even know existed. That warning being issued. This is basically a very sweet love story about two very misunderstood people, who just want to find peace and happiness for themselves and their loved ones. The way these two cling to each other through horrendous persecution is very touching. Ms. Hunt has made it an easy task to find sympathy and understanding for such a reviled figure as Lucifer.

The sweetness of the relationship between Lucifer and Clarissa is a stark contrast to the graphic violence that takes place in this book. The interaction of Lucifer and his demons is much like that you would see in any extended family, and at times quite humorous. I enjoyed the way the action played out and kept the reader guessing and never letting complacency become an issue. It took chutzpah to write a book of this ilk and talent to pull it off. Well done.

Roe Davis is a man who works hard, keeps to himself, and never mixes business with pleasure -- until he takes a weekend away from his new job at Nowhere Ranch and runs into the owner at the only gay bar for two hundred miles. Getting involved with the boss is a bad idea, but Travis Loving is hard to say no to, especially when it turns out their kinks line up like a pair of custom-cut rails. As Loving points out, so long as this is sex on the side, no interfering with the job, they could make it work.

The truth is, there's good reason Roe never settles down and always spends his birthdays and holidays celebrating alone. Shut out in the cold by his family years ago, Roe survived by declaring he didn't need a home. As his affair with Loving grows into more than just sex, Roe finds out what happens when he stays put a little bit too long: the past always catches up with you. Eventually, even a loner gets lonely, and home will grow up through whatever cracks you leave open for it -- even in a place called Nowhere.

Review:

It's the rare author who makes me cry. I've read it all, or so I thought. Truth be told, I still am not sure of the full reason behind those tears as I reached the end of Nowhere Ranch. I choke up now as I write the review. What Ms. Cullinan did was make me feel for Roe and Travis in a way I'm not sure I fully grasp. It's a fullness I feel and I think Roe does as he chronicles his life and choices that took him to Nowhere Ranch and to Travis. It's a coming home, a final acceptance of who you are, and what you feel, when the people who're supposed to love you without conditions attach strings to their feelings for you. It's about opening yourself by slow degrees, physically, to someone and allowing yourself to be vulnerable, banking on them to keep you upright when your knees may otherwise fold. And it's about loving. Losing that battle, even after all the blocks you're erected to protect yourself.

All Roe wants from Travis is the no-strings sex. And it works for a while. But Roe has a thing about leaving. I suspect he's been searching for that one place or person to which he can belong, though he doesn't realize it. Travis says he only wants to own Roe's body, have his pleasure whenever-however, but the instant he commands Roe to stay when he'd have run off, we see all ideals have already changed. The sex is explosive as each meets the other's needs and it's beautiful to watch them. Travis masters Roe's body and burrows himself under Roe's skin and in both our hearts.

Outside of the bedroom, Roe has his insecurities. Uneducated, he sees himself as less than next to Travis and the rest. I love that he's constantly disabused of that notion and takes active steps to elevate himself. For him and nobody else. Though I'd have loved to get into Travis' head, Ms. Cullinan allows him to speak through his words, but most important through his actions and treatment of Roe so there's no doubt of how he feels.

In the supporting characters, Haley had me cheering as she appoints herself Roe's champion. And she does it so well, I loved her for it. The gift she bestows on the men, I saw it coming, because it is who she is, but I still cried.

Great character development and an awesome flow. The angst and conflict was well thought out, and executed perfectly. I was hooked throughout this story and it's how I'd want all my M/M stories to read. I applaud Ms. Cullinan for holding me tightly in this story's embrace and never letting me go even after The End.

Caught between the Devil and the deep blue sea.

Eight men wake up to find themselves on a life raft in the middle of an ocean. They are stranded and alone, with no memory of how they got there, and no idea if help is coming.

But they are not completely alone. As hours become days, as water rations dwindle and tempers fray, there stirs a threat more deadly than either sharks or each other.

There is a shadow in the abyss beneath their feet. Watching. Waiting. Stalking eight men lost and adrift above the deepest trench in the world.

Review:

I'll come straight out and say it. Frenzy will not appeal to everyone but will certainly hit the right mark with readers who appreciate the kind of high-quality, cerebral horror offered by the likes of Stephen King. It's often in a crisis situation that the cracks begin to show in mankind's thin veneer of a civilization and Frenzy takes readers on this downward spiral.

While it is never made clear why these eight men are in this situation there are allusions to a Kafka-esque scenario, I gain the impression that all the men thrown into this drama carry some sort of culpability for a past transgression, be it through action or inaction.

Told from the point of view of Pete, this novella is not just an exploration of interpersonal relationships in the face of death, but also one man's inward-looking journey. Pete does not have any heroic qualities. He is an average Joe and perhaps that is his crime, for never having held definite standpoint in life. The irony now, of course, is that he is thrust into a life-and-death situation where his propensity for inaction further seals his doom.

I thought often of William Golding's The Lord of the Flies while reading Frenzy, which certainly paints an entirely different picture from the sometimes rosy survivor-style stories popularized in media. There is no comfortable outcome in Frenzy. Each character faces the inevitability of their situation above the trench, which perhaps can be seen as an allegory for our own human situation with regard to facing death. There is no escape. It lies in wait for all of us.

Overall, Johnstone delivers a slick, nightmarish slice of horror redolent with the imagery one associates with fever dreams. Frenzy left me feeling scratchy behind the eyes, and very, very thirsty for a nice icy glass of fresh water.

Drake, a VETOV enforcer, and Jessie's lover must bring her before the council to determine her fate. Jeremy, a full blooded fire demon, is determined to protect Jessie and make her his at any cost.

Let me just say, OMG, could you have rung any more emotion from my poor conflicted heart. I adore Drake. But Jeremy gets better with every installment. Jessie is definitely maturing, but really…. How much longer is she going to put up with Dani's crap???? Ms. Abshire is an absolute MASTER at confusing the reader as to who is the more worthy male. An avid fan from the beginning of this series, I am increasingly impressed by the author's ability to manipulate the reader's emotions. Just as I am firmly in camp Drake, she bewitches us into believing Jeremy has the more pure motives.

Fighting Evil was the BEST by far of this series. It was absolutely spellbinding. Jessie really comes into her own as a heroine, putting her own desires aside to save her lover and friends. Firmly holding on to her morals, as a mortal, living with human beliefs of right and wrong, Jessie has evolved into a being, not of impulse, but of righteousness. Jeremy as always is a scamp, but don't we all love the bad boys? He has managed to win my heart, and to be honest, he and Drake are neck and neck. Have plenty of tissues ready for this read because it will definitely pull on some heart strings. Why this book is not on a best seller list is beyond me because clearly this series has everything needed to captivate readers looking for an intelligent and captivating tale of paranormal love and intrigue.

Although I liked the book, it was to rushed. The events didn't flow well into each other, and left you with some questions that weren't really answered. Yes it was implied, but not directly answered in the chronological order. For example, how did Damon's sister get captured? It just started with good ole Kennedy in the FBI office, get debriefed, It really didn't tell much about her past, as inferred with the summary on the back. It did leave some questions unanswered. Did they get married, split, or stayed engaged until they decided on a happily ever after? Did Kennedy become pregnant? Did she enjoy her new life? Or is that going to be in a second book?

Overall although it was rushed, the book was extremely good. I would have liked to see a bit more history to the two. There was really no substance to the characters, and even less reaction from them. It really didn't flow, but seemed to jump from one thing to another, to another. Unless you paid close attention to what you read, you really couldn't follow what was taking place.

Lilin, the owner of Love's Nest a B & B in Strange Hollow, always knew her mate would be a werewolf. As a succubus who had been born beautiful instead of ugly, and her refusing to seduce men to steal their energy, she was disowned by her family. When a new werewolf comes to town, she knows he is the one for her. Even though he displays all the signs of his mating urge kicking in when around her, he refuses to claim her as his. Not willing to let him get away, Lilin has a few tricks up her sleeve to get him to change his mind.

Galen had come to Strange Hollow to start out fresh. His nose has been the bane of his existence. Whenever he meets a woman he is attracted to, his nose tells him she is the one meant for him. Only after he has slept with her does he find out she isn't. Not wanting to take a chance that she isn't his mate, Galen had made it a practice to seduce every woman that set off his mating urge. Of course, it caused more problems than not with the rest of the male werewolves in his pack. Deciding to go lone wolf to get away from his problems, Galen tries to fight his mating urge when he meets Lilin. Knowing she isn't really his mate, he tries to resist her. But the question is, how long can he stay strong when the woman he wishes was his does everything she can to get him into bed?

Review:

Lilin may be a succubus but she refuses to use men and throw them away. Always wanting that special bond with a mate she is cast as an outsider by her kind and now makes her home in Strange Hollow. When Galen comes to town, Lilin is sure that she is his mate but Galen is not ready to accept it. He comes to Strange Hollow because of just that fact. His nose claims that every woman he finds attractive is his mate and he will not fall for it again. Lilin will not give up on her dream, she only needs Galen to give in one more time to his body's urges and she will keep trying until he does.

I love this series and have enjoyed all the stories about this town and it's many colorful inhabitants. Love's Nest is no exception. The author weaves a beautiful romance between Galen and Lilin. Lilin is a determined woman who will fight for love. Galen is a great man who wants nothing more than true love. Together they are a wonderful couple, so full of love for each other. You see that love shine throughout the book and especially when Galen must fight another werewolf. I enjoyed visiting Strange Hollow again and seeing familiar faces. It is like visiting old friends whenever I go back and I would love to see Terry get his story told as well.

Many authors have made this series a great read. Marisa Chenery is one of my favorite authors and I hope to see more in this series from her in the future.

Dallin and Stryker have been called back to the castle by Dallin's father, only to find that they are to be sent on a quest to save the spell weaver Lailii. The Lady has chosen her champion and she needs him and his companion to save Lailii. As Dallin's world turns to chaos he finds solace in Stryker and their bond. When they find Lailii it seems that she may be their destined mate. Will Stryker and Dallin be able to save Lailii from the demons before it is too late?

Shifters and Demons brings the reader into the world of the Prides. A world that is full of shifters and many other magical beings. Each character is vividly portrayed from the most endearing like Stryker and Dallin to the ones we hate, such as the demon lord Passio. I loved the bond that Dallin and Stryker have; the love that they have shines through it all and when they find Lailii they long to include her. Lailii is a strong woman who fights for those that she loves and stands strong no matter what. Seeing the love develop between the three was a great read. So much happens to these three during their adventures. As you read you can only hope that they will finally get there happy ever after.

Shifters and Demons pulls you in right from the start and keeps you turning the pages to find out just what was going to happen next. Full of romance and magic this is a book that should not be missed.

Review:

Extremely sensual, hot, steamy, deliciously seductive. It quite literately took my breath away, with not a bit to put away. I could barely tear myself away to do anything other than sitting in front of my computer, with my mouth dropped open. I must have really looked like one of those people that just got off finding out they could get porn on the net! Bad synonym, but pretty much accurate! I absolutely loved how complex good ole Garret is. I couldn't put it past anything he did. Good lord when he tied Anne up, I thought I almost died with the details. The ostrich feather over sensitive skin... Deliciously, delightfully hot!

Anne was an absolute passivist, that truly didn't know what she wanted, but when she did realize what she wanted, good lord have mercy did she choose a delightful one! I really give it to Jennifer on her writing. It was truly delightful, and I cannot wait to get another of her books. I was positively and quite delightfully floored with how the events took effect. I really enjoyed reading the book.

Kendra Zelner has three brothers: Eight-year old Noah she's determined to protect, Joel who has no clue she exists, and Robert who wants her dead.

With reason to be distrustful of cops, she takes Noah and flees their Manhattan home for Joel's ranch in Colorado. Under the pretense of needing a job, she plans to hide out until her twenty-fifth birthday, when she'll inherit her trust fund and legally gain custody of Noah away from Robert's greedy hands. Unfortunately, her brother's sexy, infuriating ranch manager insists on demolishing her defenses and digging into her past.

Colton Lawe has good reason to suspect Joel's beautiful, long-lost sister isn't what she seems—the little liar stole from him! He silently vows to expose her secrets, but long hours together on the ranch fosters a closeness and fiery attraction neither of them expects. Can Kendra trust Colton with the full truth before Robert finds them?

Review:
I can't say enough about these characters. Colton Lawe is just "to die for"! With lethal good looks and a high regard for the relationships of his friends and family, Colton is everything I could ever ask for in a hero. He's tall, gorgeous and just all around yummy. Kendra's character was very intriguing and anything but typical. She's rich but finds that money alone can not make her happy, she needs to contribute to society in some way. She is fiercely loyal of her little brother Noah. She's petite, beautiful, and is just an all around caring woman. Put these two together and you have sparks flying all over the place. The way Kenra and Colton play off each other made me laugh, cry and sometimes both at the same time! The added characters of Brittany, Joel and Noah really tied the bonds of family into this book in a fascinating and believeable way.

Trust in the Lawe was truly one of the best books I have read this year. It's fun, suspenseful, filled with misunderstanding and characters that you will fall in love with. The plot line was tight, very well crafted and every question I may have had throughout the book was answered. Ms. Netzel really brought the playful side of Colton out when Noah and his cousin tried to play pranks on him. Colton is never the one to run from a prank.

I have a great respect for Stacey Joy Netzel and the way she can write a romantic story with sizzle and spice that kept me absolutely addicted. I had never read any of Stacy Joy Netzel's work before but was very intrigued by the blurb of this book. From the moment I started reading, it was as though my real life just floated away and I was drawn into Trust in the Lawe. Honestly, you won't be able to put this book down. If you are not a Stacey Joy Netzel fan yet, just pick up this book and you will find you want to read all of her books. To sum it all up, Outstanding book, not to be missed. I HIGHLY recommend this book.

Nobody realizes better than Shane that he has no real future. As a Leopard, he's destined to live alone and be reviled by his fellow feline shifters. Instead of letting that hurt him, Shane just throws himself into his work as the coalition's top assassin. A job that his breeding makes him perfect for. He tells himself that he doesn't need anyone else--that he's fine living a solitary life. Then one, brief encounter with a bratty, Panther shifter named, Trevor, changes everything. Now all Shane can think about is the Panther and how to get the man back in his bed. The only problem is Trevor hasn't given Shane so much as a second glance since their one time together. A situation that frustrates and intrigues Shane even more.

Trevor has always enjoyed playing the field. With so many sexy temptations at his disposal, he doesn't see why he should have to settle for the same warm body in his bed night after night. While the sex with Shane had been great, Trevor is determined to put the encounter behind him. A task that's not as easy as it would seem. Not when every night he continues to dream of the Leopard. Or how, whenever they're in the same room, Trevor can't stop himself from wanting to reach out and caress the Leopard. Trevor knows that there can never be anything between them and resolves to put his desires behind him.

Then Shane needs help on one of his assignments and he turns to Trevor. The mission proves more dangerous than either one realizes. They soon find themselves fighting for their lives. Will they be able to learn to trust each other in time to save themselves, or will their past doubts destroy them?

Review:

I loved this story. Shane’s a leopard, good for nothing but killing and maybe sex—or so the myth goes. He hides his vulnerability behind a cool façade and baby face. Nothing riles him, but he’s had Trevor once. Now he wants more of the panther shifter.

Trevor has been through his own set of problems and is still unsure of himself. He doesn’t believe any one can want him so he sleeps around—why settle when there are so many men out there? He says he’s never slept with the same man twice, but our killer Shane has him rethinking that.

I giggled, I laughed out loud, even got choked up a time or two. These men each have their issues regarding their self worth. But from the onset the passion they have is undeniable. Everyone warns Trevor away from Shane, citing his cold, emotionless nature and deadly attitude, but Trevor sees beyond to Shane’s fears and insecurities. Emotion not at all foreign to Trevor.

I loved the way Trevor stood up to his friends—his family, really—to defend Shane. His claiming of Shane was so touching, but fitting. I admit to screaming at my computer when I got to the end—a cliffhanger. Can’t wait for the second part to this story, hope it’s already in the works.

Elizabeth has watched with frustration as her relationship with Jason slowly faded away. Braced for their inevitable end, this “nice girl” is instead surprised—and aroused—by her boyfriend’s naughty Christmas plans. Jason has tiptoed around what really turns him on, afraid Lizzie would run screaming from his kinkier desires. But as their relationship flags, he latches onto a last-ditch effort to inject energy into their sex life—and their love.

For twelve days leading up to Christmas, Jason gives Lizzie a new present, each one enticing her further into his dark desires. Now Lizzie needs to loosen up a little—to give up enough control to submit to her edgiest urges and give herself completely to the man determined to be hers forever.

Review:

For days now Jason has been giving Lizzie gifts in hopes of trying to enhance their failing love life. Each gift getting more risqué by the day, will it help or hinder Jason?

Jason and Lizzie are a wonderful couple. Jason only wants to spare himself the pain of seeing the rejection in Lizzie’s eyes when she finds out about his secret. When he finally puts his trust in Lizzie, and not only tells her but also shows her where his tastes lay, Jason is surprised to see her response. It seems Lizzie has been keeping secrets herself. I enjoyed watching Jason and Lizzie explore and find one another all over again. Both hide their true feelings and it only hurts their relationship so seeing Jason and Lizzie open up and trust one another makes for a wonderful read. The love they have for each other is a beautiful thing and seeing it blossom was nice.

Christmas Packages is a quick romantic read with characters that endear themselves to the reader. Watching the love between Lizzie and Jason shine through it all, once they trust each other makes this a book worth reading.
