Helene Gaudet is finally free of her past—a rage-filled ex-husband whose curse has left her unable to have children. Helene shares those past agonies with no one—certainly not with a Marchand.
Her lonely life is upended when she encounters who she believes is her perfect Dom in an Internet chat room. To her shock, her Dom is none other than Devlin Marchand, the very person who handed her over to a dark sorcerer to be killed.
Yet Devlin proves himself to be a loving Master, and lust and love grow with each tormenting, releasing, encounter. But guilt over his past betrayal is multiplied when he learns the curse that has dogged his lover for years comes from the trove of magic created by his very own family. Devlin fears all he has built with Helene will be destroyed.
Can they overcome the past to have a future together?
Review:
This is one intense and hot story that grabbed my attention from the start and would not let go. While we are treated to the romance between Helene and Devlin we also get to find out about their lives outside of the bedroom, which include both friends and enemies. I loved watching the attraction between the two become so much more. Helen blooms with the help of Devlin and his love. Together they search for a cure to help Helen but doubts from both sides may be the end of their relationship before it begins. Devlin shows the depth of his love for Helen time and time again endearing him to the reader. He may be tough and arrogant at times but he loves Helen more than life. Helen is a strong woman and I loved seeing her become herself again with Devlin’s help. He shows her that she is worth so much more than she has been led to believe. As Devlin shows Helen just what she has been fantasizing about Helen learns that she enjoys BDSM and all that comes with her relationship with Devlin. This book does included strong BDSM scenes and Devlin is very controlling but this is what Helen longs for and enjoys. Not only do we get to see Helene and Devlin’s relationship grow but we also got to see them join together to fight a common enemy. This is a wonderful story that every reader should check out.

What a lovely review - thank you so much. I'm thrilled you enjoyed the book. I really enjoyed writing about Helene and Devlin, it's always a delight to know others love them as much as I do. :)
